This is some of the main things we are planning to change this Brawl. These changes are not set in stone, so if you are against them, or if you want to say that you like them, don't hesitate to post in this topic to share your thoughts!
Removal of a Role
Due to the heavier focus on Lore this Brawl and the previous, due to how many Forum Expert tasks were similar to Writer tasks last Brawl and due how fewer team members will mean more teams since the activite gets lower each year, we have decided to remove the Forum Expert tasks from this Brawl. This means that the tasks now will be : Boss, Deck Builder, Card Designer, Writer and Artist.
Variable Team Sizes
Last Brawl we added dynamic roles, which meant that individual players were no longer locked to a specific role. This Brawl we intend to take this a step further and introduce variable team sizes. Basically the Boss is free to include as few players as he or she wants in his team during auction. The maximum number of players in a team will be 5 (the number of different tasks). Since it is possible that this change means that more people than usual is left behind in the auction, depending on how many players are left, one or several extra teams might be created by some or all of the rememaining players.
New Event Cards
Last Brawl we removed Event Cards, and now we are planning to reintroduce them, but with a big twist. The Event Cards will now be just "Events" and they will have direct impact on the story of Brawl. Each Event will have some choice to be made for all teams, and the choice will affect the story in future rounds. The choices will also affect future tasks in some non-obvious way. For example, a Deck-Building task might have "If you chose option A last round, your deck must have at least 3 creatures. If you chose option B, your deck must have at least 3 spells". The reasons will have story-explanations, and some hints to what might happen will be included in the Event.
On top of these Events, some tasks will be specal, and winning them will give you tasks changes similar to Events in future rounds.
Team Voting
We are also bringing back Team Voting, although not as much as in previous Brawls. Just like last Brawl, the main focus on voting will still rely on outside voters, but this time the teams will be able to vote as well. However, the team votes will have much less weight than normal votes. The exact numbers is not yet decided, but the voting power of a whole team will be less than that of one non-team voter.
PvP Battle
Yes, Brawl is supposed to be the big non-PvP event, but don't worry. What we are planning is one Round Robin PvP Battle in the entire Brawl. This PvP battle will not be mandatory, it will not give any points to the winning team, but it will grant a minor future task change for the winning team, exactly like the Events described further up.
