I feel like even if i wasnt allowed to vote for my own team, my votes would still be quite biased against certain teams. This could be nullified if the submission's team was hidden, but that would be impossible if it were as themeic as this brawl was, and i liked how themeic it was.

Voting panel is awesome, just wish they got to it a bit earlier and all kept up with it, but that's impossible to enforce.
Brawlers voting is a recipe for mistrust and sore losers. I think this has been the most sporting brawl yet because of this.

I disagree with this part. While I was a voting panel supporter myself, I found the you-can't-vote-for-your-own-team a great solution that allows a large number of voters and removes the team bias.

What I try to say is that we can have BOTH; a voting panel and allowing brawlers to vote for a team other than their own.

I have to agree with ARTH's point, voting was fun! Of course Voting Panel was great, and we should keep that--  just weight the Brawler's vote to be less, maybe something like "1 point for all the brawlers votes combined per task. (FPP)" That reduces the chance of it actually affecting anything while giving those who want to the excuse to give feedback/judgement something to point to.

I really think as voting needs to be accessible to as many people as possible. Brawlers should have voting threads in their sections where they simply can't vote for their own team. The public shouldn't be required to give reasoning - I would have voted this time around if not for that requirement. I like the voting panel, but I think their votes should have higher value than the other two groups, provided they are required to give full explanation. I also think it needs to be fluid - that is, if a member of the panel hasn't voted with explanation in two rounds, they can be replaced with a member of the public who did vote those two rounds, chosen by BMs.

Maybe removing Wizard/FE?
In this lore-based Brawl there aren't really any "forum tasks" to do, so it has been very similar to writer, as many has pointed out. If not removing then either return to some forum based task (might not fit with the lore-stuff), or come up with some new way to distinct it from writer.

I think a Jester substituting the old OT would have beeen a better fit to have more humorous writing, leaving the more serious writing to the Scribe role.

I think the utility of wizard / jester is the nice thing. I imagine as brawlmasters designing tasks, it would be nice to have somewhere to put 'miscellaneous' tasks you think up. I don't think it's a bad thing that some of the wizard tasks also ended up being applicable to writer

Can we suggest themes for the next brawl? How about the ruler of a city/country has died, and the teams are organisations competing for control?

According to my experience, inactivity is always an issue at Forum Brawl but you can deal with it by doing the submissions of inactive people.

Make voting last 5 days instead of 7. This way the brawlers can potentially use the feedback from the voting in their next task.

Seconding this. When many of the votes are submitted so close to the next round's deadline, the audience's thoughts on our strengths and weaknesses can't be readily applied to try improving.
