Boss Abyss Brawlers: Very very very close third by The Chaosomes for their community references, and kudos to ATNT for a solid song as well, but the guitar blasted all the competition away. Kudos to JcJ for an awesome submission! Artist Gaia's Pride: A hard choice. A very hard choice between the fly made out of painted plant-corpses and the devourer made out of socks. The Onion-jellyfish was cool too. But the decaying chemically treated plant materials win ^^ CD Fiery Hot Mixtape: I wouldn't have expected anybody to use spark, and it even makes a lot of thematic sense! A tad on the OP side though. The frog was definitely a strong option as well, but the theme from FHM was awesome. DB A Toadally Newtral Team: Massed frogs. Split between this and Gaia, but I felt the SW tie-in for the deck name was more fitting here. FE A Toadally Newtral Team: Definitely the best submission (after ours ), well explained and detailed. Kudos to Arum(and anybody else who helped out) to building that monster of a post. Writer The Chaosomes: Excellence! I like the flow, the humor, and by Zanz these references are amazing. One of my favorite books as a kid, glad to see it again here. Bonus 1 Abyss Brawlers: I really liked ATNT's, but this one is more clear in its purpose.

Very difficult decisions this round, especially in Boss, Artist, Writer, and FE. Congratulations and thanks to everybody for all the awesome stuff!

Just wanna point out that in all the FE tasks I'm the only one who went the extra step to try to balance out the game instead of just have the game idea & concept, and to do that actually takes a lot more effort then people might realize. Although I think drudic staff is just a bit OP when used in the right hands compared to usual.

In my original post I do admit I was a bit too blunt. It reflected my first, raw, visceral reaction to the ideas, that's all. I've voted for Gaia's Pride in the past, just this time the ideas spoke to me less. If I deleted the comments in the original post it was because I was informed by a teammate that my post seemed a bit too negative, which was fair. Just opinions, but still fair.

Unfortunately, we ~do~ have to give explanations. They can, however, be misinterpreted to be a personal attack, or at the very least feel like one. Even with our team's submissions, of course we're a bit saddened when our ideas don't get votes, but it happens. We can only give submissions our best and have faith in the system. It helps to have a pretty awesome team.

Rest assured, a vote is a vote and I've always been treating them as such. I do know what I said in my original post and will still defend my opinions, however, I will be glad to do so in chat or through PM as I'd rather not let this thread turn into something it really shouldn't.

tl;dr: If I like it, I'm giving it a vote. If I don't, I'm not.

Boss: Not a drinker, but this was pretty easy. Chaosomes and Abyss had the best lyrics and best singing. Amazing job guys ^^

FHM: No.
League of Shadows: Very nice, and if this was about looks you'd get my vote. But clay is not very original imo.
Chaosomes: Much more original. And amazing too.
Gaia's Pride: Fruitfly looks perfect, and the medium is quite original.
Toad: Sorry, lego is not that creative]
Abyss: Nice idea, but the others did it better I'm afraid.

CD: I'd like to see the weaker vanillas upgraded, wit interesting mechanics. FHM and League met the criteria.
FHM: Neat idea, though pretty OP at first glance. Although it does seem really win-more given some thought, which is a nice tag for this card.
Chaos: What are those symbols?
Abyss: Seemed uninspired to me.
League: Interesting, and neatly balanced.
Toad: Very nice idea, it's just that it's an upgrade on an already strong card.
Gaia: Same as above, too strong imo.

DB: Not experienced with Star Wars, so I'll focus on team representation.
League of Shadows: That's actually a decent deck idea. Well done.
Gaia: The deck seems uninspired to me. Where's the Gaia?
Abyss: I like the theme, tho it could be a bit more coherent
Toad: I like the clone idea of Mito + TU. Clones are the one part of Star Wars I'm very familiar with, and you represented them very well.
The Chaosomes: Prolly accurate in-universe, but I don't think it represents your team very well.

FE: League left no competition here. Second vote goes to Abyss as theirs was the most original idea imo.

Writer: This was certainly an interesting challenge. I'll rank from worst to best:

Gaia's Pride: Just seems like too little effort was placed here. The concept was interesting, but you could've made the story much more meaningful. Just a missed opportunity.
Fiery-Hot Mixtape: Just as you said in the disclaimer, this felt simply like a targeting of feelings. The language is verbose and gves an illusion of literary effects without being very interesting at the core. I know this is your style, Frozen, but I believe you can improve it. Instead of vague psychopaths. Also, how did she light a fire in a snowstorm??
League of Shadows: While the spoiler based text game was exciting at first, it became very tedious after a while. VERY tedious. Not something you make for readers.
Abyss Brawlers: I loved the style of this, and the humor. It was pretty good, it's just that the rest did it better. The action was a bit lacklustre too tbh. I've always been hoping for an EtG Story with more action than just random cards fighting, and the lack of that means you can't steal my vote.
The Chaosomes: Very elegantly written, with some pretty awesome humor and depth. Nothing else to say, aside from keep up the good work!
A Toadally Newtral Team: All I can say is, kudos to whoever wrote this. The actual submission has a pretty averagely vague plot, but the execution was amazing. And the bonus... just wow. I'm not really worthy to critique something as great as that :]


Bonus: Based on general polish, I'll vote for Gaia and Toad.

Discord super OP, here's why.

900 RPM / 60 seconds in a minute = 15 RPSecond * 33 DPShot at full efficiency = 495 DPSecond. On 100 HP targets.  In CQC, it's going to absolutely annihilate any opponent in it's way.

Owl's Eye reminds me of the AWP from CS:GO. High DPShot, low RPM. Pretty balanced.

Eternity is either UP or OP, depending on what the fall-off range/time it takes to fire off the 4RB.

Arsenic pretty OP, but less-so than Discord. Longer ranged assault rifle with 7 shots/second, all with atleast 40 DPShot, reigning in 280 DPSecond, well over double a characters HP.

Fahrenheit doesn't make sense, mechanically. How can you fire off 4 grenades in 1 second?

Druidic Staff UP, you'll never get in range with the likes of Discord in the game.

Vampire Stiletto OP, almost 7 shots/second on a 70 DPShot >sniper< that has no damage fall-off? 

Titan is Riot Shield, Riot Shield is Riot Shield. I imagine you can just back up into a corner and effectively turtle with it?

Trident very strong, reminds me of the MK14 from MW3, single shot 2-shot anywhere kills, though I think headshots were one shot, one kill.

Morning Glory doesn't make sense, a SMG shouldn't have a longer range than any gun in the game.

Lobotomizer seems fairly annoying, with a high (? inconsistent on placing RPM within gun descriptions) rate of fire two-shot kill.

Also, Arsenic and Trident were super hard to read. I had to copy/paste Arsenic to be able to read it.

Just my personal views. Figure they're fairly accurate, since I've been playing FPS well over 2/3rds of my life.

That being said, I like the concept. You likely could've just gotten away without stats, and just posting descriptions of the weapons

I think there were two guns I didn't have any inspiration as to what they were. As for the rest of them, they were either tweaked or ripped off from call of duty black ops 2 stats.
I personally used driftor's youtube channel for call of duty black ops 2 in-depth guides that gave the stats.
I know discord was one of those that were blatantly ripped off from the MP7, so definitely strong but I don't think its op. Drudic staff has a range thats very big compared to other RPS's when aiming for the upper body. It should be rather manageable to kill an MP7 with a drudic staff but hard, as that would be the drudic staff's worst match up besides vs something like the scorpion, but I didn't use that gun at all.

Eternity fires like the M4AI (I think I spelled that right) but I had to change up the range a bit. I think that range might be a little too big. (100 units, and the fall off damage is exactly the same at 24 from cod) the M4AI is an OP gun if you manage to hit all 4 bullets in the first round of burst, but it drops off fast in its time to kill if you miss at all except for 1 bullet.
What would the RPM for a normal grenade launcher be? I couldn't find it so I winged it saying 240. 80?

Ik its a little hard on the eyes for some, but I don't know what other colors to use to represent those elements. Any suggestions?

Also, grenade launchers, I'm personally familiar with two: Warframe's Tonkor is 120 RPM, and Just Cause 3's CS Negotiator, with no stats given, feels only slightly slower. Both of those games lean fast-paced to me so 80 is probably not unreasonable, although maybe a little slow.
