Spoiler for BOSS:
Deep Impact...
Create a card that would seriously impact the meta.

Spoiler for Meaning of Life:
Evolution | Improved Evolution

Life is currently viewed as a 'weak' element in most "restricted meta" - where cards in the deck and/or deck mark are limited or controlled in ways that tie to an element.

This card would provide a means for Life to work around the major Achilles heel of permanents that stops nearly every Life attacking method.  Such a 'permanent avoidance' means for Life element would impact War as Dimensional Shield, Wings, Sundial, and similar permanents would no longer be near auto-loss for Team Life.  Also, Life would become an element capable of greater stallbreak (stalls are quite common in PvP meta in several forms) with the addition of this card.

Notes:
  • The momentum ability added from this card would still be removable via lobotomize.
  • The +2|+2 buff is only added if the Life creature are in stasis the turn Evolution is played.
  • Cost is balanced from Sky Blitz (9|8 quanta and consumes remaining) taking into account in-element effect only being a cost reduction.

Spoiler for Frostbite Borealis:

Meet Cerebral Shadow. He'll get into the meta's head. He'll get into your head.

This evil little thing affects the meta in a number of ways. First, it puts massive pressure on Fractal to kill as quick as possible, which darkness's healing can make a difficult task. Additionally, it stretches the meta's primary decks to either be really fast, so as to win before they're milled to death, or really bulky, so they withstand the high amount of cards lost. Medium speed domins, charges, and especially OTK decks would, then, fall out of favor. It also buffs the hated Reverse Time - if you play two RTs in one turn, they draw one creature, and have to choose between playing something and losing the other, or forfeiting their turn. Finally, it brings Quintessence back into the spotlight, because you want this thing alive at all costs.

Note: This isn't intended to stack.

NOTES:
This is something that would make trios and quads a lot more viable, and thus allow more deck types and change the meta.

Could also be good for splash decks where mark would generate quanta too slowly.

If you are "done" with generating the quanta from another element, you can simply target the pool of your "main" element and let this work as a pillar for the rest of the game.

Spoiler for Maori myth of the origins of the Kiwi:
From here: http://www.kiwinewz.com/html/losewing.htm
One day, Tanemahuta was walking through the forest. He looked up at his children reaching for the sky and he noticed that they were starting to sicken, as bugs were eating them.

He talked to his brother, Tanehokahoka, who called all of his children, the birds of the air together.

Tanemahuta spoke to them.

"Something is eating my children, the trees. I need one of you to come down from the forest roof and live on the floor, so that my children can be saved, and your home can be saved. Who will come?"

All was quiet, and not a bird spoke.

Tanehokahoka turned to Tui.

"E Tui, will you come down from the forest roof?"

Tui looked up at the trees and saw the sun filtering through the leaves. Tui looked down at the forest floor and saw the cold, dark earth and shuddered.

"Kao, Tanehokahoka, for it is too dark and I am afraid of the dark."

Tanehokahoka turned to Pukeko.

"Pukeko, will you come down from the forest roof?"

Pukeko looked down at the forest floor and saw the cold, damp earth and shuddered.

"Kao, Tanehokahoka, for it is too damp and I do not want to get my feet wet."

All was quiet, and not a bird spoke.

Tanehokahoka turned to Pipiwharauroa.

"Pipiwharauroa, will you come down from the forest roof?"

Pipiwharauroa looked up at the trees and saw the sun filtering through the leaves. Pipiwharauroa looked around and saw his family.

"Kao, Tanehokahoka, for I am busy at the moment building my nest."

All was quiet, and not a bird spoke. And great was the sadness in the heart of Tanehokahoka, for he knew, that if one of his children did not come down from the forest roof, not only would his brother loose his children, but the birds would have no home.

Tanehokahoka turned to Kiwi.

"E kiwi, will you come down from the forest roof?"

Kiwi looked up at the trees and saw the sun filtering through the leaves. Kiwi looked around and saw his family. Kiwi looked at the cold damp earth. Looking around once more, he turned to Tanehokahoka and said,

"I will."

Great was the joy in the hearts of Tanehokahoka and Tanemahuta, for this little bird was giving them hope. But Tanemahuta felt that he should warn kiwi of what would happen.

"E kiwi, do you realise that if you do this, you will have to grow thick, strong legs so that you can rip apart the logs on the ground and you will loose your beautiful coloured feathers and wings so that you will never be able to return to the forest roof. You will never see the light on day again."

All was quiet, and not a bird spoke.

"E kiwi, will you come down from the forest roof?"

Kiwi took one last look at the sun filtering through the trees and said a silent goodbye. Kiwi took one last look at the other birds, their wings and their coloured feathers and said a silent goodbye. Looking around once more, he turned to Tanehokahoka and said,

"I will."

Then Tanehokahoka turned to the other birds and said,

"E Tui, because you were too scared to come down from the forest roof, from now on you will wear the two white feathers at your throat as the mark of a coward.

Pukeko, because you did not want to get your feet wet, you will live forever in the swamp.

Pipiwharauroa, because you were too busy building your nest, from now on you will never build another nest again, but lay your eggs in other birds nests.

But you kiwi, because of your great sacrifice, you will become the most well known and most loved bird of them all."
USES:
Spoiler for Hidden:
One of the most well-known thing about the life element is healing. However, in certain cases, an opponent can do more damage than can be healed. Kiwi can allow creature damage to be stopped to allow free healing to happen. This card can be combined with Sundial to add to stalling potential.

Adrenaline is also a viable choice, as the upped does 12 damage per turn with adrenaline. The unupped also does a respectable amount of damage at 8 damage per turn. It also combos well with attack buffs and health buffs like Blessing and Momentum, as it allows for more uses of its ability, as well as also providing more damage.

Mitosis and Fractal can both be combined with Kiwi to be used to prevent loss of health (especially with cards like Empathic Bond and Dimensional Shields) while an army of Kiwis attack the opponent. Though slower than the well-known Frogtal, Kiwital and MitoKiwi decks would both offer more control over the opponent's cards.

Mythology: Qalupaliks are Inuit mythological creatures that take away disobedient children and keep them in their amautilt, a pouch that Inuit parents use to carry their children. Scylla and Charybdis are two sea monsters/whirlpools that populate the Strait of Messina, between Italy and Sissyily. Sicily.

If you sailed too close to Scylla, you'd get devoured by Charybdis. If you sailed away from Charybdis, you'd be eaten by Scylla.

Quite a dilemma, no? When Odysseus had to channel this river, he had a choice - Sail on Scylla, and have six men devoured, or Sail on Charybdis and have the entire boat devoured. This is reflected in Scylla having less ATK than Charybdis, but being the one most likely to kill creatures.

Saci. That's right, I know my Brazilian folklore :S

Before anyone asks, the Confusion ability is the one specified in the card description ("Its attack varies by +/- 2."), so this DOES NOT apply to the Saci. The Confusion ability is active, and replaces any current ability. The +/- 2 cannot make a creature go into negative attack, unless the attack is already negative (e.g. through Antimatter). Meant as a pseudo-lobo, as well as being potentially interesting with other stuff.

Task Specific Explanations:
Deja Vu - a common combo with Luciferin and Hope (also, Blessing, Adrenaline, and Chaos Power)... neither Luciferin nor Hope are in this deck.
Shard of Wisdom - a common combo with immaterial creatures like Immortal and Phase Dragon... neither Immortal or Phase Dragon are in this deck.

Explanation of cards:
  • Time Pendulums + Aether mark for generating quanta needed - This balance works well as Aether is not needed until Time is available to start the combo.
  • Precognition is included as a low-cost deck needs no more quanta than this and the combo cards are at optimal quantities to avoid over-drawing the single-copy-required cards (Deja, Quint). The deficit from the 30-card minimum to ideal deck size is hence filled with handy-dandy Precog.  It can also be used early to determine if a lone Deja Vu summoned immediately would be in danger of CC.
  • Elite Deja Vu is the core of the combo.  Summoning one early/ASAP is OK if no CC (hard [kills] or soft [inhibits]) will come out prior to immortalizing the Deja Vu.  The ability to copy itself is the purpose for inclusion as this effectively make Shard of Wisdom a +8 attack buff.
  • Quintessence makes the Deja Vu untouchable - especially one SoW is applied for dealing spell damage.
  • Shard of Wisdom is the buff for Deja Vu that is "doubled" in effect when the Deja Vu ability is used.  Also, the immaterial Deja Vu begins dealing spell damage.

Strategy:
  • Drop the quanta The upgraded Time Pendulums allow for first-turn use of a Precog to scout for opposing CC.
  • To Vu or Not to Vu? If you can scout the opponent's hand (Precog) or see the opponent is playing non-CC elements then playing a Deja Vu early is fine.  Also, if you draw two in the opening hand you can dump one early to draw out any opposing CC.  However, you need a Deja Vu on the board safely as soon as possible.
  • Quint, Buff, and Double! Quanta generation of the deck limits the earliest Quint to your third turn.  This paves the way for following-up with as many SoW as possible prior to a Deja Vu-ability activation to double the effects.
  • Additional Strategy Notes:
    • Against a reflecting shield and no/minimal CC -- Do not Quint your Deja Vu(s).  You can instead SoW and multiply on the same turn to still gain the buff-doubling and risk CC as reflected-damage is auto-loss.
    • Against early (or lots) of CC -- Wait to summon Deja Vu until you can Quint on the same turn.  Dump SoW and multiple ASAP.
    • Against a non-reflecting shield -- Quint and SoW to avoid the shield effects.
    • Against healing -- You need to balance MAXIMUM SoW doubling with rushing ahead of the healing.

Spoiler for FORUM EXPERT:
Who needs Brawlmasters anyway?
Make a case for the addition or removal of one or many staff titles.

Spoiler for Meaning of Life:
The Idea Guru is the least active staff title and thus should be removed, as it doesn't contibute to our forums.

First of all, I didn't even know who the current Idea Guru was until writing this article and looking it up. Unfortunatly, our Idea Guru, Drake_XIV, hasn't been active since late January. That means, as of the time of writing, our Idea Guru has been inactive for two months.

However, from then to now, there has been little mention of the lack of Idea Guru activity. What this shows is that there has been no progress of the Design Theory section, except for the few posts here and there, making this staff position unnecessary. There is no demand for a staff position in a dead section,

While it is possible that the stagnation of the game in general has affected the required activity level and presence of the Idea Guru, if we were to continue with moderation of Design Theory, Card Curators could be able to organize the board. As Card Curators have knowledge in evaluating card balance and such, they would be suitable for the tasks needed in moderating. Also, they wouldn't be sitting doing nothing, as the CIA section is used commonly, with new card ideas being made almost everyday. If it feels that our current number of Card Curators (three) is not enough, we would simply offer this postition to more people, in order to spread the workload.

Spoiler for Frostbite Borealis:
Forum Staff & Game Staff should not be related. Therefore Arena Moderators should not be listed as staff. Preferably a report-bad-names feature would exist in the game

Masters shouldn't be listed as Staff. We don't list winners of other PvP events. Even if they get mod privs over their element's subboard, they shouldn't be listed as staff. "Staff" should be moderators appointed by Council. If you're currently listed Staff because you won Trials or admins gave you mod privs somewhere, you shouldn't be listed as staff

All staff should be chat mods. Non-staff chat mods should not be listed as staff. You know who's a chat mod by whether they have a greenshirt in chat

Bug Hunter: This position shouldn't be listed as Staff. Instead just give bug hunters mod privs over Bugs board

Idea Guru: What does this even mean? It shouldn't be a staff position, giving good feedback in CI&A is something everyone should aspire to do. One isn't assigned wisdom

Trial Overseer: We only need 2-3 TOs, 1 should step down. If we really have 4, it should be possible to have TOs not participate in Trials

Spoiler for Ragnarok:
For the past year or so, our beloved forum has been on the decline. Many of the faces once essential to the forums have disappeared over the months, and many more have become inactive or unwilling to dedicate time here. Zanz is the primary example.

So, if we hope to keep the forum efficient, we have reduce the list of obsolete staff members. The staff members which should be removed are as follows:

1. Card Curator
: The Card Curators were originally tasked with the maintainence of the CIA forum, filtering cards through public vote to find the ones best suited for inclusion in the game. But that system is not suited for a time when only a handful of members even pay attention to CIA. The prospect of any card entering the game is also bleak. Thus, this staff position should be removed, and replaced with Moderators for CIA.

2. Idea Guru
: Half of you probably don't know what this staff position is for. And I don't blame you, since their forum hasn't seen activity in almost 2 years. This position is just a hollow title as most of the people with clearance to the Idea Factory have left. It should be removed and the Idea factory archived.

3. Bug Hunter & Deck Helper
: This might be a surprise, but both of these positions have the same fallacy: They don't have enough work to do. The bugs section and the decks sections are generally inactive, with only a few threads appearing occassionally out of place. In the past, when these sections were a mess requiring organization, these positions had a role in cleaning up. But now, these positions should just be replaced with Moderators.

If we remove these staff positions, we should also increase the number of Global Moderators. GMods can take over the modding for these abandoned areas. In future, if extensive cleanup is ever necessary, the council will simply appoint a dedicated mod for those forum.

Spoiler for Red Stars:
The problem with current forum staff titles are a lack of parallelism in our levels of distinction between staff titles in different aspects of the forum.  The role of a Feedback Manager, for example, is both to maneuver the topics in the various Game Feedback subforums and to be a person for those suggesting feedback to communicate with about their ideas.

Yet in the CIA forums, we have Card Curators and Idea Gurus as two distinct staff roles.  Card Curators maneuver the topics among the CIA boards, and Idea Gurus communicate with individuals about the quality of their ideas.  It seems that to combine the function of the Idea Guru with that of the Card Curator and eliminate Idea Guru as a singular position would make sense - thus, those responsible for advancing ideas throughout the Crucible are also those responsible for giving feedback on the ideas.  This would require more Curators, but adding our existing Idea Gurus as Curators should give enough to fulfill the role.

Likewise, our PVP staffers serve relatively similar functions; TOs, LOs, and PVPOs all serve to create and manage events.  On the non-PVP side of our community, which makes up nearly as much of our forum, we have only COs for this side of the community (omitting TrOs, WMs, and BMs here as they are responsible for a particular and irregular event).  To properly build up the non-PVP side of the community, we should separate the CO position and hire organizers for competitions in different aspects of non-PVP, such as Art Organizers, Writing, Organizers, Card Design Organizers, and Deckbuilding Organizers.  Each would be responsible for competitions within their field, and with these new staffers, we could build a proper circuit whereby players could prepare for Brawl.

In order to keep SCP-620 semi-dormant, it is necessary to keep its body heat to a minimum of -15 C° by lowering the room temperature. In case of either escape of SCP-620 or mass breeding of SCP-620, execute failsafe ███████ and then ███████ ██ █████, However, if re-containment can not be achieved in time, evacuate base, and activate self destruct implosion device.

Note: Using any explosive device on SCP-620 will simply cause it to regenerate over the next few days. See Description for more details.

Once every eight (8 ) days, SCP-620 shall be fed exactly one (1) live cow or any other similarly sized live mammal. If SCP-620 is fed more than that, in terms of frequency and/or amount, SCP-620 will leave its dormant stage and breed, producing a large number of offspring that can easily take down the walls of the room it is contained in.

Description: SCP-620 is a large arachnid roughly the size of an average fully-grown human being. (No exact measurements can be carried due to [DATA EXPUNGED].)

SCP-620 was first found on June 19██, near the small village of ██████, Siberia. SCP Agents transported it to DNE #57. However, due to not knowing of it's aggressive nature at the time, SCP-620 managed to kill Agents █████, ███████, and ████, as well as a researcher and a janitor who both could not be identified due to numerous bite marks and scorching. SCP-620 was then sent to an underground facility off the coast of [REDACTED] for more tests on its abilities. After testing, it was put in a custom-made storage unit, where SCP-620 is currently kept.

SCP-620 exhibits electrostatic properties, with abilities including, but not limited to: being able to erase data from electronics in its vicinity, and being able to fire lightning bolts with an electrical strength of up to nearly 100 A and voltage of 550 MV. It is not understood how SCP-620 achieves this build-up of electricity, as observation has proven that SCP-620 has no body hairs or any other microscopic projections capable of causing an imbalance of electrical charge through friction.

SCP-620 also demonstrates spatial disturbances; it has been observed traveling distances that would normally be unachievable without the "shrinking" of space and distances. Through this effect, SCP-620 has been observed to reach speeds up to ██ m/s (██ f/s). Another effect based upon the spatial disturbances of SCP-620 is the fact that even when body parts are separated, they somehow all reappear in the place where SCP-620 calls its home, where SCP-620 is found to be healed.

On May 25, 19██, two janitors (from here on referred as to SCP-620-A and SCP-620-B) accidentally locked themselves into the room SCP-620 when feeding SCP-620. SCP-620-A preceded to follow protocol and sound the alarm, but was killed immediately before he was able to do so, based on surveillance cameras recording on the time. SCP-620-B, on the other hand, stood still, and then was hiding behind the now-dead body of SCP-620-A. SCP-620 shot an electric bolt, which conducted through the corpse of SCP-620-A, hitting SCP-620-B in the heart, causing immediate cardiac arrest. Then, SCP-620 went to eat the bodies of the two men it had just killed as well as the cow that had somehow escaped death earlier on. SCP-620 then made copies the same size as itself, that suddenly appeared from nowhere. Theories include parallel universes, though no one can be sure what happened and how. These copies then proceeded to destroy the room. Luckily, 5 minutes before, SCP-5RR (Precognition) ensured that measures were taken to make sure there were no other fatalities.

Addendum-620-01: Now that more precautions are in place, SPC-620 should be demoted to Euclid status. On-site implosives have now been implemented, any new threat should be evaluated and countered at earliest possible opportunity due to potential volatility of subject.

Spoiler for Frostbite Borealis:
Frostbite Borealis Round 5 Writer and Off-Topicker Task

ITEM #: SCP-3738

OBJECT CLASS: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3738 is to be contained in a 2m x 2m x 2m glass cube. Each side of the cube should be attached with time-lock clockwork mechanisms. Time-lock mechanisms should be replaced once a week. Cameras are to be situated around the cube, constant observation is required. The image feed of these cameras should have their time-stamps noted and verified hourly to avoid any temporal anomalies. (1)

Description:  SCP-3738 is a sentient entity resembling a hooded figure. SCP-3738 is in a state of constant levitation. Chains appear to float and revolve around it. A circular necklace inscribed with the symbol for ‘infinity’. SCP-3738 has the ability to become invisible during possession of a host.
Addendum: The age and origin of SCP-3738 is unknown. SCP-3738 thrives in parasitism, feeding off the host’s psyche. Exposure to SCP-3738 triggers fear reflex in human subjects. Should SCP-3738 initiate direct contact with a human, the human becomes its host.
Note: As of yet, infections have only occurred in sleeping human subjects.

There are several stages of symptoms that occur in the human host, eventually leading to his/her death. There are no known methods of removing SCP-3738 from its host - the few incidents of afflictions being cured seem to have been spontaneous (see Interview Archives). It appears that unlike previously discovered parasitic entities, SCP-3738 does not require a host to survive. This has lead to the hypothesis that the possession is in fact a defense mechanism in order to evade capture.

Recorded stages of infection are as follows:

Stage 1: Host hardly feels any symptoms. Recurring headaches occur.
Stage 2: Host starts experiencing amnesia. Memory blocks occur. Emotional stimuli may cease to function. Host starts to experience constant nightmares.
Stage 3: Insomnia and time anomalies occur. The host may rapidly increase or decrease in age. Complete amnesia occurs. Complete extraction of SCP-3738 has been unsuccessful beyond this stage.
Stage 4: Time anomaly intensifies. The host’s physical appearance continues to change every minute. The host’s internal organs cease to function.
Stage 5: Host dies and starts to decompose to ash, beginning with the extremities (hands / feet) up to the head.

Interview Archives:

A)
Quote
A human subject, is interviewed during his Stage 4 exposure to SCP-3738.
Quote
“Help.” Subject increased in age by approximately 50 years.
“Me.” Subject decreased in age, back to 13 years old.
Subject died 5 minutes later. Complete decomposition into ash occurred within an hour.
B)
Quote
A female human, explains what happened to her when she was exposed to SCP-3738 before it was successfully extracted from her.
Quote
“It was horrible. My Husband and I were experiencing nightmares of hooded figures with no shape. Then one day, I just my husband just... turn into ash. By the time you came for me I could barely distinguish what was real from the nightmares. Once I came here, I can’t really explain what happened, but I began to think clearly, and realised I could feel that thing’s presence in my head. I… managed to get it out.”
It is unclear how this host was able to remove SCP-3738. Her containment room (Time Tower Room X-321) is being monitored.
FOOTNOTES:

1. Special notes on containment:

A) It is yet to be discovered how, when uncontained, SCP-3738 is able to move through time. The time-lock clockwork mechanisms are designed to prevent escape through this ability, but if escape should occur any interaction with SCP-3738 should result in immediate and constant use of SCP-879, the time-reversal weapon known as ██████ until SCP-3738 is re-contained.

B) It is not yet known how SCP-3738 infects a human host. There seems to be some connection with sleep, specifically REM sleep. Therefore, if SCP-3738 escapes containment, no personnel is permitted to sleep until contact is made and containment ensured. If sleep is necessary, personnel should be evacuated prior to losing consciousness.

Spoiler for Ragnarok:
Item #: SCP-2474

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2474-A is to be connected to a high voltage power supply at all times, using a wire made from reinforced hair. It must be secluded within a dome of vines at Site-17 to prevent escape during electrical outages. No personnel below Level 3 are permitted within this dome. Before entry, they must strip themselves of all metal. SCP-2474-A should be brought in vicinity of metals only in dire circumstances.

SCP-2474-B is to be kept in a cryogenics-induced stasis within a cylindrical chamber of length 3 meters and diameter 2.5 meters. Only a special crew of Level 4 personnel handpicked by Dr. ██████ has clearance to deal with the containment and research of SCP-2474-B. Should the stasis be broken, SCP-2474-A must be removed from site-17 to a secure facility in ████, and Site-64’s on-site warhead must be readied for immediate activation upon order from Dr. ██████.

SCP-2474-A and SCP-2474-B must not be brought within 150 meters of each other. The effects of doing so are as yet unknown, though Dr. ██████ hypothesizes it will lead to Arsenic poisoning of all creatures within a 3-mile radius, or immediate oxidation of all metals within a sphere of 20 miles from the meeting place.

Description: SCP-2474-A resembles a brown Ellipsoid, with 4 mechanical appendages fitted with three claws each and two eyes located on its elliptical centre. Its exterior seems to be composed entirely of Ferric Oxide, but experiments have shown that it isn’t metallic in nature. Whenever any metal is brought in the vicinity of SCP-2474-A, it becomes disintegrated. In fact, the slightest movements of SCP-2474-A have caused random metal disintegration throughout site-17. However, this effect is somewhat reduced by placing SCP-2474-A in the dome of vines.

SCP-2474-B has an amorphous body, though it has stabilized into a humanoid form in its cryogenic stasis. While not in stasis, SCP-2474-B would generally emit supercharged electricity from an opening located on its centre of mass. These emissions could fix any damaged electrical device it came in contact with, particularly devices which had been damage by SCP-2474-A. However, SCP-2474-B will destroy itself within 47 seconds unless it is placed back in stasis. The process of this self-destruct mechanism is as yet unknown.

Addendum: Hey, these things are like some creatures from this Card game I play! And the first one, it has a spell cast on it! – Mr. ████, level 4 staff.

Requesting authorization for immediate termination of Mr. ████. - Dr. ██████

Granted. - O5-█

Spoiler for Red Stars:
Item #: SCP-3705
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3705 is to be kept in a vacuum system at all times it is not being experimented upon. This vacuum system must be kept in a room with specially fitted walls, able to withstand extremelly high temperatures and with the room temperature being constantly controlled, so that it doesn't exceed 40 degrees celsius. All access to the room is barred to personel below level 2 clearance.

After the events described in document #3705-A, all thermal experimentation with it has ceased. Any requests to study SCP-3705 must be submitted to Dr. ███████  and all researchers involved must use body suits able to withstand high and low temperatures.
Description: SCP-3705 appears to be an ordinary pile of burned particles, with all current chemical and spectroscopy analysis suggesting it is only a very common pile of ash of organic molecules. Grains of this particular type of “ash” vary in diameter and texture, but the color is a consistent black-grey mix.  When undisturbed, temperatures of SCP-3705 are a reliably lukewarm [Redacted] degrees (even when subjected to the vacuum normally used to contain it).

The ash sample currently secured was found on the crater caused by the fall of meteorite [Redacted] and thus the origin is speculated to be extraterrestrial.

Document #3705-A

Log of thermal experimentation with SCP-3705
Date: [Redacted]
Researcher: Dr. Savannah Williams

Day 1
Observations: Currently SCP-3705 is experiencing extremely low temperatures in a vacuum. No changes, physical or chemical, seem to be occurring. Substance seems unaffected by drop in temperature. Temperature of substance remains the same throughout experimentation, in addition to the temperature at which it was first discovered.

Day 2
Observations: Currently we’re applying extreme heat to SCP-3705 in a vacuum. No results, the same as applying extreme cold.

Day 3
Observations: Now applying extreme cold to SCP-3705 in the open air. No results, identical reaction — or lack thereof — as previous days.

Day 4
Observations: Our last experiment with temperature will be applying extreme heat to SCP-3705. Heat is applied in the open air to the substance and nothing is happening. 2 minutes: nothing , 4 minutes: nothing, 6 minutes: nothing, 8minutes: substance is beginning to illuminate and

[end of video recording]

Date: [Redacted]
Researcher: Dr. Carlos Auden
Dr. Williams died tragically in a lab fire when substance SCP-3705 spontaneously combusted. The last recorded temperature of the substance was [Redacted] degrees above the normal temperature. The only thing left was a pile of ash in the center of the room, matching the chemical composition and general properties of SCP-3705. No visual of the explosion was recorded as the sensors in the camera seem to have overloaded, causing irreparable damage, because of an extremelly bright light. The audio recording includes the cries of Dr. Williams and the flapping of wings.

Spoiler for Gravy Train Co.:
Item #:SCP-3141

Object Class:Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:SCP-3141 is to be house in automated containment unit 668/10.  While it has not yet shown the ability to affect regular electrical objects, they are deemed an unnecessary risk.  SCP-3141's containment unit is to be stocked with unpowered objects only.  Any object, no matter how mundane, must be rigorously scanned for arcane properties.

Description: SCP-3141 is a human shaped organism.  It has a blue tint to both it's skin and it's hair rendering it distinct.  The subject also has a severe aversion to showing it's face, and attempts to capture it either electronically or on film have proven impossible.  Those that manage to observe it report a human but vaguely disturbing appearance.
SCP-3141 has the ability to generate beings similar to itself by crying on objects infused with arcane energy.
Tears maintain their properties even if separated from SCP-3141.  Can be bottled and poured over ████████ to generate more subjects.  New beings can either be identical to SCP-3141 or have a coloring variation (SCP-3141-1 - SCP-3141-11)  Those identical to SCP-3141 maintain the ability to generate new organisms.  The variations lack this ability but have others.  Of particular worry are SCP-3141-6 which has the ability to cause pain and rage in any subject and SCP-3141-10 which has a precognitive ability that makes recapturing difficult (review incident file 562-A).  While contained and denied access to ████████, SCP-3141 is not particularly dangerous.  Still, care must be taken in case it is hiding the ability to affect more mundane objects.  Class 3 personnel have access to several bottles of SCP-3141's tears which should be used to test any object before placing it in SCP-3141's containment cell.

Spoiler for CHALLENGE "A":

Spoiler for Red Stars Vs Frostbite Borealis:
Challenge (andretimpa VS artimies7):

I would like to challenge Frostbite's artist (artmies), to make a new art for a creature from the other team's element.
That is, I'd make new art for a :water creature and he'd do it for a :fire creature.

Spoiler for Red Stars Submission:
As a DnD player this is how I always pictured flayers:

Spoiler for full art:

Spoiler for in card:

Spoiler for without digital editing:

Spoiler for Frostbite Borealis Submission:
I decided to redraw Fire Spirit for this challenge because it had the most potential to be firey and dynamic and also I never could really tell what the ingame art was due to how the subject was kind of side-on.

Spoiler for CHALLENGE "B":

Spoiler for Red Stars Vs Ragnarok:
Challenge (eljoemo VS frozengaia):

Design a card based on the criteria of 2 (or more) CD tasks for the previous 3 Brawls (with the exception of Brawl 2 Round 3; Brawl 2 Round 5 & Brawl 3 Round 4, because reasons). For combo tasks, you only need to do the CD part.

For example, if two tasks were "Create a card for Water" and "Create a new Shield card", a valid response would be to create a new shield in water. Easy.

For your convenience, here's a lovely table consisting of all CD tasks from previous brawls (Some slight changes have been made to Combo tasks etc.)

Spoiler for Lovely table:
Brawl 1 - Round 1Pick an element with no mass CC and develop a mass CC card for that element.
Brawl 1 - Round 2Design a new healing card for Light.
Brawl 1 - Round 3Choose a weapon from mythology and create a card based on it. (This should get you started.)
Brawl 1 - Round 4We've seen several spells and permanents based on emotions. Create a creature card that embodies an emotion.
Brawl 1 - Round 5Adapt a card from a different card game to Elements.
Brawl 1 - Round 6Redesign an existing, in-game card, keeping only it's Element and name.
Brawl 2 - Round 1Create a card that can make you win in a different way than currently exists (other than reaching 0 HP and deckout). Write a description of the mechanic if it is necessary.
Brawl 2 - Round 2Design a card thematically based on a Demigod. For further reference, look HERE.
Brawl 2 - Round 3[Not counted as the task is literally "Design a card".]
Brawl 2 - Round 4Given a random off topic thread, create a card based upon it. [You may choose any of the 6 random threads for this.]
Brawl 2 - Round 5[Not counted as the task requires the creation of 3 different cards.]
Brawl 2 - Round 6Design a card based on an actual entropic principle.
Brawl 3 - Round 1Create a signature card to represent your team! The card must represent the team's name.
Brawl 3 - Round 2Create a card that is logically (Name/Flavor) in an element but mechanically out of element.
Brawl 3 - Round 3Make a card based on one of the second edition D&D base classes (Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Mage, Cleric, Druid, Bard OR Thief). [The original task require making the entire set, you need only create one.]
Brawl 3 - Round 4[Not counted as the task requires the creation of 2 different cards.]
Brawl 3 - Round 5Create a card based on your team Boss.
Brawl 3 - Round 6Create a powerful, but balanced card for Other. It can be a creature, spell or permanent. No new card slots.

Spoiler for Red Stars Submission:
Envious Demon | Envious Demon
Based of the Brawl 1 - Round 4 Task (Envy) and the Brawl 3 - Round 3 Task (Thief)

The attack of this cannot go below 0, like a steam machine. If the attack ends up negative through antimatter, I don't know what would happen, I didn't think that far ahead. I think there should be more creatures in Elements that mess with attack values, instead of only HP. Mix it up a little, you know?

NOTES:
Unique = this only happens once per turn, and not per Avatar. This card does not trigger itself when it enters play.

Based off of Intruder Alarm... The most broken and ridiculous Magic: The Gathering card of all time.

This creature is based off of the cautious, anticipating, apprehensive side of emotions. What can you do with it? Double Mito SoR could be a bit too much, but I doubt it. Double sundial? Double NT? Double Antimatter? If you're feeling a little funny, cats could make some... Interesting trios.

The ability is active, making it lobo potential.

Really great work from everyone. As Council Member and TrO, I just wanted to ask about Frostbite's FE submission:

Quote
Trial Overseer: We only need 2-3 TOs, 1 should step down. If we really have 4, it should be possible to have TOs not participate in Trials

"it should be possible to have TOs not participate in Trials" - What were you referring to by that? Does it means TrOs shouldn't be allowed to participate in Trials? Or does it mean some TrOs will not take part in planning for Trials? I'm really confused by what you meant here :/

Does it means TrOs shouldn't be allowed to participate in Trials?

This. If there's enough eligible/qualified/good TrOs who do not wish to participate in Trials, then there's no need to have to handle a TrO who is participating in Trials

Oh. Crap. FE.
If you've forgotten to PM your FE submission, you can still do so but it will only gain 1/2 points from voting.

Hate to be the one to point it out...but Frostbite guys, why isn't your art in card?

Any size restriction for Artist?
The final submission ought to include the new art within the card; in other words, you have you use the CI&A card image editor to import your pic and write down the card's text and stats (thus recreating the card). Since it will be imported, it will be resized by default (however, you can include the original art in a spoiler or something).
