Boss: *excited monkey noises*. Ferns made the most amusing task all around.
Artist:
-witd: What does the multicoloured HP bar means? The card displays are really tiny, which is one of the reasons why I scrapped making 3 lines of cratures with no overlap. Making the picture bigger to solve this problem would mean that you'd need a fairly tall display to get the whole board on (while these displays exist, they are not the most common type). The separation between the different elements in the quanta display is a bit awkward. I can't tell the difference between death and water, between air and aether or between gravity and earth. Someone slightly colour blind would have difficulty telling water, air, death and aether apart (someone completely colour blind would be utterly lost). There's a lot of unnused space, which could have been used to mitigate the display problem.
-DL: This feels really rushed and too much of a minimal modification imo. The whole thing is 90% a remake (from scratch apparently) without a redesign. There's no quanta display. It is Asy's worst submission so far imo
-DDD: Using 2 lines of creatures is a possible solution for reducing covers (it was not explored as much as it could). Although it would be possible, the ordering of the creatures is not easy to work into flooding in an intuitive way (adding one more column and moving the ordering around would have solved this). One more column would also allow to recover the correct number of permanents (that is actually 16, without counting weapon and shield). The hand display is pretty elegant. I'd remove the quanta caps, since they are just cluttering the display imo. This would leave the space to display statuses.
-Ferns: LOLWUT. Looking just at the design, it looks like it'd be similar to DDD, but I can't really tell for sure.
vote goes for DDD for actually making a redesign and having the least mistakes that I spotted (and being easy to understand)
CD:
-DDD and DL: cards that have already been done.
-Ferns: A loophole to play more than one "drain all" spell in the same turn doesn't fit my definition of balanced.
-witd: an actually interesting card. Got my vote.
DB:
Spiderman and batman, as well as this thread
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/trio-quartet/thor-the-freaking-god-of-thunder-(ai3)(lol)-(aether)(light)/ were the first things to cross my mind when I looked at this task.
-DL: I'm not sure if the Punisher is in the right side of the anti-hero scale (he's kinda dark imo). Apart from that it's a mono-death and that's about it. I'm not sure how aflatoxin ties in with the theme.
-witd: Spiderman was a bit obvious and I'm not sure how wings or poison fits into the theme. But this is a nice deck for a trio.
-DDD: Thor was obvious, but it is cool that a deck like this works.
-Ferns: The hero choice was original, but the deck seems a bit unstable.
Taking into account originality in the choice of hero, deckbuild and presentation, it was a choice between witd's better organized stats and the theme in DDD, that I liked more. Went with witd.
FE:
Ferns: ARTH admitted that was a troll submission. Makes you chuckle, but I'd rather see something serious.
DL: I'm not sure if I understood the suggestion, but I think it would be redundant once 1.4 comes out and we have a greater variety of PvE.
DDD: That's the type of thing that annoys me on some sites. Please no.
witd: Close to our suggestion, even if "more quests" have been suggested ad-nauseum (vote).
OT:
vote goes for DL. Mostly because of Sko embracing his inner Cullen
writer:
It was a hard choice, but DDD seemed the best written
-DL took a long time to get to the point imo
-SF was a close second. It was funny to read
-witd had some grammar mistakes that looked bad in comparison to the other tasks
All around the submissions were very interesting
Bonus: I picked us and DL, since I think they were the most pleasant to listen to.
