Thus end's Brawl!

Brawl #3 - Round 6 - Voting

Spoiler for Task:
Pick a card that has been added since the start of the game or a card in the armory and write that card's resume as if applying for a job with Zanzarino, AND/OR write a mock interview between the two

Spoiler for Whispers in the Dark:
Dear Zanzarino,
this letter is to tell you I've been looking up to you since ... since forever. You don't know me, but I know you, I've known you from the very beginning. But I couldn't say a word. I stayed silent. I had to wait for the perfect moment to contact you.

Now is the big day, most important day of my life. I'm quite happy about it. Zanzarino, I would like you to add me to your wonderful game.
I'm a great teamworker. I tend to wait until the last minute to hand in assignments but I work well in stress, and am totally able to finish up the work quickly. I am not, however, always punctual. Yeah, like everybody, it happens sometimes that I am seen in the bottom 3 cards of the deck. Those days make me sad, really really sad.

Dear Zanzarino, I'd be glad to serve you for 500 years, and then 500 more,
to be able to say that I've been a thousand years in this game I adore.

Sincerely,
Shard of Patience.

Spoiler for Silver Ferns:
An interview with a monkey.

Zanz: So, Monkey, your resume is very impressive. But  I hardly ever add cards to the game, so why should I add you?

Monkey: Why should I add you?

Zanz: *black holes*

Zanz: Why should I add you to my card game?

Monkey: Well, I have a unique ability *monkey noises*

Zanz: Yes... I can see that.

Monkey: Yes... I can see that.

Zanz: *black holes* The problem with your ability is that it requires new coding. Do you have anything special that would make up for that?

Monkey: What about the amazing benefit I would give to the life element? It's definitely an element that needs more to it.

Zanz: What? Who cares about life?

Monkey: ... *monkey noises*

Zanz: Hey, what about this:

Zanz: Are you OP at all?

Monkey: (proudly) No, my creator carefully designed and balanced me based on the sugestions of others and your cards ingame.

Zanz: Pity.

Monkey: Pity.

Monkey: Wait - why is it a pity?

Zanz: All new cards have to be OP now. Why did you think I added the shards?

Monkey: But... desiccation wasn't OP.

Zanz: It had cool art though.

Monkey: I have cool art! Look at my tail, it's like a vine!

Zanz: No one would notice that.

Monkey: The writer of this did.

Zanz: You have a point, but I still see no reason to add you. Too much coding and not OP enough.

Monkey: Too much coding and not OP enough.

Zanz: Not to mention you're really annoying.

Monkey: Not to mention you're really annoying.

Zanz: Wait...

Monkey: Wait...

Zanz: Really annoying? Perfect! Well done, Monkey, and welcome to my game.

Monkey: *excited monkey noises*

Zanz: Now I just have to stop being afk and add you!

Monkey: ...

Spoiler for Cuckoo's Nest:
The ever humble Entropy Cloud (EC) is in an interview with the the head of Human Resources for Elements the Game (HR)

HR: What makes you think you are qualified to be part of our team?
EC: Oh come on, look at me, I embody everything Entropy is about?
HR:Hmm yes, I see you have random on your resume several times, still being an Entropy creature requires more than that.  I see you left the attack and defense drop downs blank in your profile, what should I put in?
EC: Well you see, it's kind of complicated... I don't actually have any -cutoff-
HR: No, that's not right, every creature has stats. What are yours?
EC: Well... uhh... technicaly I guess they are both zero.
HR: I see...
EC: By look! My ability totally solves that! In my regular form, I average out to 4.5 attack and HP!
HR: I'm sorry, my form doesn't have any way to enter decimal stats.  I am going to have to leave it as 0.  So what would you say your greatest strength and weakness are?
EC: Well, uhh, my greatest strength is that I am hard to put down.  Even when things don't go exactly my way, or when I get hit by lightning, I reassert myself and keep on going. Umm my greatest weakness is that sometimes luck leaves me pretty weak.
HR: So I see that you attribute your ability to thrive own strength, but your failures to luck.  This is not a very good quality...
EC: Well no... I mean, my being able to use my full strength is reliant on luck as well... wait that's not a good thing is it...
HR: No... no it is not.  Well we have your resume on file.  We will be giving you a call with our decision...

EC:

HR: Umm yes I suppose so...

Spoiler for Divine Light:
Long, long ago, one of the half-gods called Zanzarino, aka Zanz, came up with an idea to create the most awesome fantasy card game in the world. He created the Elements Earth and Zanz saw that it was good. Then Zanz said, "Let there be Light"; and there was Light. And Zanz saw that the Light was good; and Zanz separated the Light from the darkness. Zanz also added water, air, time etc. you know, all these 12 Elements that form the whole Elements World. The World was beautiful, yet empty. So Zanz started looking for some creatures that could work for him. He received a great number of resumes, but there's just one that interests us today:

Spoiler for Crusader's resume:

JOB INTERVIEW

Crusader comes into the Zanzarino's awesome office. Zanz is sitting on his Boss Chair Throne, with his back to the door and not turning round when Crusader enters.

ZanzCome in.
CrusaderGood morning.
ZanzGood... Is it a statement or question? How do you know it's good for me? I'm glad it's good for you. Perhaps. Nevemind. Sit Down.
CrusaderUhm, yes, thank you.
ZanzSoooo, you're looking for a job, crusie?
CrusaderExcuse me, but, isn't it awkward to sit with your back to me, sir? I know we should not maintain long eye contact with strangers, but I can't even see you, where is the handshake stuff and...
ZanzEnough! Silence! I'm the boss here and that's how it looks like. Privacy is my policy. Do you want this job or not?
CrusaderOh, I'm very sorry, it wasn't my intention to make you angry...
ZanzRelax, now, let's get down to business. Do you know why I used my secret  :time MACHINETM to bring you here from your Middle  Ages?
CrusaderBecause you was searching for someone with a good knowledge on weapons and Light?
ZanzExactly. Your resume looks interesting. And as a guy from Middle Ages you kinda fit my Elements realm. In a nutshell, you'll have to learn how to wield 11 weapons from 11 different elements, and the funniest part, you can't wield weapon that belongs to Light element :3
CrusaderWhy?
ZanzBecause nobody can touch it! Hands off! It's my preciousss...
CrusaderHave I heard someting similar before?
ZanzNonsense. But nevermind. We can start from now. Here are the weapons, examine them, have fun and tell me when you're ready. If you have any questions just e-mail me...
CrusaderE-mail?
ZanzOh, well... Send it to me by pigeon post... Oh, and the most important part, you have 7 days for that.
CrusaderOnly 7 days?
ZanzYeah, BMs taught me that. No mercy, meet the deadline or bye! Cya. And good luck.

And Crusader made it... like Brawl Team Divine Light, just in the last seconds, but he did it! From that moment you can enjoy the awesome child of jmizzle7 and vrt in your favourite fantasty card game ;)

Spoiler for Hidden:
Redesign the display of the creatures, permanents, mark, quanta and everything seen when playing an Elemental battle. Background design included.
Slight changes can be made, like the amount of playable creatures and permanents, but not adding new features (like an extra weapon slot)

Spoiler for Whispers in the Dark - 1/2 points, late submission:

Spoiler for Divine Light:

Spoiler for Cuckoo's Nest:
The first modification I made in the displays was the background. Backgrounds that change depending on your mark would add a bit of flavour to the game that is missing with the old and boring game table the game currently has.

Spoiler for backgrounds:
Aether

Air

Water

Time

Light

Life

Gravity

Fire

Entropy

Earth

Death

Darkness

I also made some rough concepts for how innundation would interact with these backgrounds

Spoiler for Hidden:

Aether -> Sparks in the water

Fire -> steam rising from the water

Next I changed the format of how the cards are displayed to something closer to a hexagon, but not too much, so that there is still enough place for all the information. With the new format, when we have many creatures and permanents in game the amount of card area that is covered is smaller than with squares.

Spoiler for Hidden:

I also changed the design of the cards as they appeared out of the board

Spoiler for Hidden:

The quanta display looks like this

Spoiler for Hidden:

the columns are arranged according to cardinal, material and spiritual elements and opposite elements appear also in opposites. The outer most colour of the display also depends on the mark being used (the example is for an earth mark).

and the board as a whole looks like this

There's a lot happening here. On the left side there's the 2 quanta displays, also showing the life bar and poison/purify status (your opponent has 7 poison counters, you have 2 purify counters. Neurotoxin counters would be indicated by a time symbol). On the middle we have the region where creature and permanents appear. Further right we have the special slots for your mark, shield and weapon. In this case, you have a 3x earth mark. To the far right we have the hand, statuses and deck size. Both decks have 15 cards. Your opponent has sanct status (protected against denial) and nova status (more novas will create a singularity). You have silence status (can't play cards) and one turn of SoSac. Your opponent just played a Pharaoh, that's why you can see it. On your hand the cards with a shiny border are the ones you have the quanta to play.

You can see that the borders also have a colour depending on the marks.

Finally the order the cards enter is also designed to minimize covered areas

Spoiler for DDD:

- More permanent slots
- More creature slots
- More 'realistic' card game layout of hand cards and deck stack
- Turn count value displayed
- Deck Mark shown as circular mark, not unusual square format
- Quanta pools clearly illustrate the cap

Spoiler for Silver Ferns:

Spoiler for Task:
Create a powerful, but balanced card card for Other.
It can be a creature, spell or permanent. No new card slots.

Spoiler for Whispers in the Dark:
Elitism | Elitism
Elitism - The belief that a certain social group is dominant, and that all others are inferior.
This affects ALL creatures on the board, with each field reacting to that player's mark. "Other" cards will always take damage (unless Mark of Chroma becomes a reality).
I tried to make a "powerful" card that wouldn't be OP in a rainbow, and I think I managed. This works best in monos, duos or when you only have creatures matching your mark. It's also pretty anti-bow as well, especially since most entropy-mark rainbows have no entropy creatures in them.

Spoiler for Silver Ferns:
Prismatic Might | Prismatic Force
Clearly a very powerful card, right off the bat. This card would be a game-changer for sure, but I don't think it'd be overpowered. For starters it's extremely expensive to use in a mono or duo deck, meaning you can't just stick it in your frog deck with fractal and expect to immediately win. In addition, it's the purest kind of card disadvantage, and by itself it does absolutely nothing. It takes up valuable hand space for a combo deck that now has to be fully rainbow if it wasn't before, and combo decks were pretty good at doing their thing once they drew their cards anyway, this wouldn't change much there. All in all, this card would shake up Elements quite a bit, and open up tons and tons of new opportunities for decks and strategies.

Mechanically it works as expected. The full effects of the spell cast will still go through, so Fractal/Blitz/ect. will still drain all remaining quanta of their element.

Spoiler for Cuckoo's Nest:
Other cards are hard to balance for both mono decks and rainbow decks.  They tend to be overly effective on one end and/or terrible on the other.  Modular stats seemed to be a decent way to get around it.  Are you playing a mono deck?  Well then you have a 12|12 for 12.  Average stats for the cost, and higher attack than some elements like gravity have access to.  Are you running a rainbow deck?  Well then on the first turn you can nova and play this to get a... 1|1.  Pretty bad, but not completely useless in the right situation.  Playing a rainbow deck filled with quantum towers?  Assuming equal distribution of quanta, you'll most likely end up with a 3|3 or a 4|4.  Given the 3 random = 1 fixed conversion provided by quantum pillars, that comes out to a 3|3 or 4|4 for 4.  Not bad, given it's versatility.  Best part?  This card gives a potential use to relics.  Repeatedly being able to play the card to drain quanta, and hoping it drains the right one.  Is it a great strategy?  Probably not, but would be fun to see.

It's not easy to create something "powerful and balanced" that could fit with Other element. But this card (imho) is a nice example of a Other strong card, since it can overcome the 6 cards limit of a spell, and it looks appropriate for Other
The idea came to me while I was thinking about what, a wizard, or better, an elementalist could bring with him during a journey or in a battle. A blank scroll on which to write additional spells in case of need.

Spoiler for Task:
Build a deck based around a Hero from any fictional work, and justify it in description. For added challenge it must be able to contend with Gold league or higher.

Spoiler for Divine Light:

THE PUNISHER

Frank Castle, The Punisher, not only has he learned to be a skilled tactician, but also an expert in special operations. Beyond that he's skilled in the missions of infiltration and assassination; is tactically prepared to deal with a large number of opponents.

His whole life was sacrificed for revenge, and  The Punisher has no problem to use any weapon at his disposal to get rid of the enemy.

This deck is inspired to him, since his same coat of arms, the skull, appears virtually anywhere in this deck. This deck uses poison and grey nymphs to deal damage, while SoSa's grant a nice protection.

It can be pretty suitable for gold arena, even if he showed that he can be operative vs plat decks too...

All hail the spiderman deck! With its web it shall not let you perform any attacks, thus leaving you worthless. It is quick and lethal. Of course like every man, even Spiderman, it has its weaknesses (like PC), but in the end it shall overcome its weakness and win. This deck contains poison and spiders due to the fact that Peter Parker got his powers from a spider's poisonous sting.

Spoiler for pictures:

Whatever comes our way... whatever battle is raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It’s the choices that make us what we are... and we can always choose to do what's right.

Spoiler for Cuckoo's Nest:
Killua Zoldyck
(from Hunter x Hunter Anime/Manga)
Being a member of the Zoldyck assassin family, Killua must be a Darkness (or Death) elemental. So for the deck, I picked a Darkness mark.
As an assassin, he is incredible fast, allowing him to avoid being hit most of the time (Dusk Shield) and can even rip out your heart without you knowing (Steal). Another rather deadly skill from him is to create afterimages so it looks like you're facing a bunch of Killuas (Fractal).
His personal abilities resolve around Lightning. He can imbue himself with Lightning to increase his attack speed and damage output (Psion) or just use it to Zap the opponent (Lightning).

Thor is known for his hammer, so there are five hammers (gavel upgraded form) in the deck. The hamemr can always fly into the hand of Thor when he wants. That fits a little bit with gravity and flying Weapon. Thor is the Thundergod, thats why you can see five Thunderbolt in this deck. Why Psion? Well Psion is the card Thor represents very well. It's also an aether creature and aether is also known from the literature as the "place of gods".
Twin Universe is the card to show, that Thor isn't from the Earth, he is from "another world".

Hawk Girl from Justice League:

Hawk girl is a superheroine and one of the main characters and of Justice League. More info about her can be found here.

* Her weapon is a powerful mace (Pulverizer) which can break plenty of stuff (Pulverizer's ability: destory), emmits lightning (Lightning Storm) while activated and causes sockwaves on impact (Shockwave). Her ability to fly is represented by Flying Weapon and Wind Towers/Air Pendulums but her flight is actually not granted by her wings; it is granted by the electromagnetic/gravitational propreties of her belt (Gravity Pendulums). She fights for freedom and justice and she usually dives from the air to strike her opponents, often bypassing any protection they have with her powerful mace while evading their attacks with her great agility (Shard of Freedom). She has the wings of a hawk, the head of a hawk, the eyes of a hawk (represented by Eagle's Eyes) and she even posseses sniping skills from her previous lifetime as Cinnamon (Eagle's Eyes ability: Snipe). Finally, she loves planet Earth so much she even fights against her own kind of "Hawk People" in order to protect it from total destruction (her love towards our humble planet is represented by Earth Pendulums).

As a deck, it is able to beat the low-level decks of Gold league while being at the same level with medium-level Gold decks but losing from high-level Gold decks.

Spoiler for Task:
Design a Game Mechanic or feature that would attract more new players to the game and would keep them here. Nothing Pre-suggested without considerable variations.

Spoiler for Whispers in the Dark:
Level quest system
Every four arena levels, players in game would unlock a new level quest.  In the quest, players would have to defeat three opposing decks (built around a theme such as Graboid decks, Denial Decks, Voodoo decks, etc.) using the same deck.  Quests would become more difficult as levels increase, both by the strength of the decks faced and by restrictions on what cards the player is allowed to use.  If they succeed, they complete the quest and win one or more cards.  Lower level quests would have expensive commons like dragons as the rewards, and higher level quests would have rares or upgraded cards as the rewards.  The highest of quests, such as those at level 76 and 80, could even offer nymph codes as rewards.  Players being able to earn 2 nymphs wouldn’t entirely break the game’s nymph rarity.
In-client tournaments.
A new mode of PVP called Tournament PVP could be added to the game.  Players would pay a fixed amount of electrum to enter, and would see a bracketed tournament seeded by score once the appropriate number of players have entered the tournament.  Players would play in Best of 3 matches, with 1 minute between matches allowed to change decks.  These tournaments could include automatically coded card restrictions or no restrictions at all – it would be best for retaining player interest if the restrictions varied from time to time, and some tournaments were unrestricted except for forbidding upped cards.  The players would receive an electrum payout based on their finish, and possibly an additional bonus for the winner, such as an upgraded special spin.
“False God” PVP
Everyone has seen the false gods, but what if you could be a false god?  In this new PVP mode, players get 2x deck size, 3x mark, and 200 HP.  This mode can only be entered if your entire active deck is made of upgraded cards.  This mode would give new and old players new challenges to design decks around, and gives new players something to grind towards.
Linking of Game Account with Forum Profile
Players should be able to link their in game account with their forum profile.  When they do so, the IGN and score of their account will appear next to their post count and reputation bar next to their posts.  Additionally, they can earn achievements in game that will display on their profile, such as an achievement for defeating every False God once, winning 100 total matches in Platinum, winning 30 straight matches against Bronze, and so on.  Players could view their own progress toward achievements on their forum profile.
Score Leaderboards
Along with the above feature, both the forum and the game should have leaderboards for the highest score, and for the most score gained within the last week. The leaderboard for highest score would serve as a long term goal for newer players to aspire to, and the weekly score gain leaderboard gives players a challenge to vie for in the short term.  Players love seeing their name on leaderboards!

Spoiler for Cickoo's Nest:
We propose the following changes, in-game:

-Make the trainer not so hidden from new players. Being able to experiment with decks in a sandbox mode is a great learning experience.

-Secondly have a strategy tutorial in-game, that could be also an excuse to add a bit of flavour to it. We could have a button called "Oracle Guide". When pressed, the oracle welcomes the elemental and walks him through on a real battle (not the type of walkthrough you see in AI0, that just shows what the things in the screen mean), with a serious deck and against a tough opponent (AI3 or AI4 level). You would be able to select between different deck archetypes and if the guide is well written it can be a very in-depth tutorial about each strategy. As an incentive to go through these tutorials, the first time you beat a battle using a given archetype you could get some reward. The battle should also be slightly challenging, so that a newcomer needs to understand the concepts to win.

-Finally, for getting new players I think that new Kong badges are the only thing that would truly work. If these badges are connected to the guide this would also improve the quality of the newcomers. Both the guide and the 1.4 update would also warrant a new badge by Kong's policy. (an alternative that might not be affordable at the momment are advertisements for the game)

Spoiler for Divine Light:
Design your opponent, (it's a button on the home screen.)
You may choose all aspects of your opponent! Hp, card draw, number of marks, and wether they have upgraded cards or not. The cards they use are like AI4 but the standard reward you get starts at elder lvl. As you increase their HP, card draw, and number of marks you're reward will increase at a double or triple loss of score and electrum. So if you kept it the same hardness as ai3, and won you'd gain ~40 electrum and ~30 score as opposed to winning ~20 electrum. If you lost however, you'd lose 30 score as opposed to 10, and lose 30 electrum opposed to losing 10. Dare accept your own challenge?

Reward: Increase of HP by 50 means 50 more reward. It continues like this in chucks up to 1100. The number of marks will increase your reward by 10 for each above 1, up to 5 cards drawn per turn. If they have upgraded cards your current reward will change by + half of it.

Spoiler for Silver Ferns:
Well, this is the final round of Forum Brawl and, while I think I have a billion new mechanics and features I would like to see implemented to the game, I know deep inside that nothing is going to be featured. Not until Zanz come back. So I decided to end my series of FE submissions with a funny, trolling yet desperately needed idea.

Ladies, gentlement and elementals! I present you the:

Zanz's Email Spamming Button!(tm)

A new button will be added to the daily oracle spin. The button will write "Click here to get your 500 daily electrum!" and it is going to do exactly as it says; it will offer 500 :electrum to the player. The button can be used only once per day and resets at the same time the oracle spin resets.
However, EtG is going to have a special code implemented on it that will check what was the last time EtG was updated. If the last update was more than a month ago, every time the button is pressed, an email will be sent to Zanz's email address as well as Zanz's accounts on google, youtube, facebook, twitter or whenever elsewhere Zanzarino holds a personal account!
The message is going to include the following text "Hey, where have you been? Have you not updated EtG yet?", followed by Annele's Overly Attached Noob's video and a special virus that will disable every non-EtG related function of Zan's personal computer till the EtG is updated!
Now, imagine thousands of emails spammed towards Zanz's and Nel singing to him every single day, except if he has the EtG updated with new stuff every month!

At last, EtG is going to recieve its well-deserved monthly updates! Muhahahahaha!

Spoiler for DDD:

Promotion of the connection from game to forum should increase players extending their stay on Elements the Game.

Better alerts to new players early about this forum's existence:
Win 3 in-a-row -> small pop-up window with a link inviting the player to visit the tourney topic section.  There is already a link on the game screen, but it is very inconspicuous and does not have the 'feel' of bringing lots of players to the forum (as a ratio of total players, especially new, to players joining forum).

Win 5 in-a-row -> small pop-up window with a link inviting the player to visit the league topic/section.

Lose 3 in-a-row -> small pop-up window with a link inviting the player to visit the deck help section.

Victim of OTK -> small pop-up window with a link inviting the player to visit Chapuz' OTK guide(s).

In-game 'hover' events:
On a Card -> small one-time pop-up window with a link inviting the player to visit the Card Ideas and Art forum section.

On a Mark -> small one-time pop-up window with a link inviting the player to visit the Hybrid Marks topic.

Spoiler for Task:
Using what you know of science, justify some magical proponent of Elements as hard science.

Spoiler for Whispers in the Dark:
How can you create a Black Hole?

A Black Hole is, in basic terms, a super-dense particle, that is one with a huge mass and yet tiny volume. The resulting effect is that the gravitational pull of the particle increases until the point that all kinds of matter are attracted to the object. This however, increases the mass of the initial particle, increasing the gravitational force produced by the black hole.

Now then, how could we create one? Well, if we look at the card art, we can see that the Black Hole (or at this point, a super-dense particle) appears to be suspended in some kind of glass bottle. Of course, this isn't simply glass; it is a material of such tensile strength that the particle has no effect outside of the bottle. Inside, the super dense particle is suspended in a vacuum, kept away from contacting the side of the container by its out gravitational forces. Because the force is applied equally in every direction, the particle remains in suspended equilibrium.

However, by opening the container, the equilibrium is broken. The super-dense particle is able to move and make contact with the container. At this point, the material that comprised the container falls to the forces of the super-dense particle, increasing its mass. At this point, the particle has become a Black Hole.

Now, the Black Hole's gravitational forces affect all entities in the battle. However, since this Black Hole is still tiny and weak in comparison to those in our solar system, these forces are still very minute. Most entities can remain in place due to the gravitational attraction of the Earth and the frictional forces of the ground. The only objects that can be physically moved are quanta. Since they have so little mass, the gravitational force of the planet is weaker than the pull of the Black Hole. The quanta is attracted to the Black Hole and moves closer to the centre particle. The quanta fuses with the centre of the Black Hole to increase its mass.

However, the nature of an artificial Black Hole is generally unstable. After a brief period of time, the Black Hole will disperse its mass, whatever this is at this point. Mass absorption (through quanta) can also speed up this process. This is why only a maximum of 36 quanta can be absorbed. The initial mass of the Black Hole will at this point will be dispersed to the atmosphere. Yet, any absorbed quanta will be unable to do so. The immense gravitational forces change the physical composition of the quanta particle. The newly formed quanta cannot perform their original function. The energy they were exposed to now means they possess healing qualities. These particles are generally collected and used to heal the player.

Spoiler for Divine Light:
There are many wonders and mysteries in the world of elements. How are creatures summoned from nothing? Why don't cats understand life and death? Exactly what are they shards of? A bottle of magics? We may never know... But! Thanks to careful scientific study and stuff, we have now figured out the answer the one of the biggest questions of all time. Just why do vampires sparkle? Many theories have been given to explain this odd nature. Perhaps a way of communication? or, as outlandish as it sounds, each sparkle is a soul it has stolen. We can now disprove all of these notions once and for all. It turns out  the vampire itself isn't sparkling at all. Instead, it is a reaction caused by how the creature is summoned. While we don't know much of how it works, we do know that creatures are summoned by using quanta, in this case darkness quanta. Now true darkness is just a lack of light and energy, so it can't technically be called darkness . While we aren't exactly sure what darkness quanta is, we do know it acts like antimatter when it hits light. This reaction is rather weak though, so it only results in small flashes. When a vampire is summoned traces of darkness quanta trails it, interacting with light from the sun. This causes the "sparkly" effect. Why this happens only with the vampire and not other darkness creatures is a mystery, but at least the vampire can have some dignity restored!

Spoiler for transcript:
Hi folks, on this episode of elemental science I'm going to explain how fractals work. In a nutshell, fractal works because every creature has 2 different representations. The physical representation with which we are all used to and the so called self-similar representation, that resides in the mathematical, or as some scholars like to call it, the aetherial plane.

Now, when we cast fractal on a creature we force the self-similar representation upon it, by making it collapse to the aetherial plane, which hurts a bit ... but whatever. Now, a cool feature of the self similar representation is that you can break it into several bits and still get the same thing. However, the free copies are unstable and the collapse only lasts for an instant, so the spell has to pull the copies to your hand for it to work. It also creates a mommentary whipeout in the aetherial dimension ... oh well.

But lets take a closer look on the self-similar representations. Unfortunatelly, most creatures have quite boring represntations. Take for instance Ball Lightning. That looks like this. You can see how to break and get copies, but meh. The same thing happens for Ray of Light. Look at that, just plain boring. But there is one case that looks really cool, dragons and that's what I want to talk about now. To show how cool dragons are I'm gonna use this strip of paper. The first interesting thing about fractals and dragons is that you can get their representation just by folding paper and not only that, but all dragons have the same representation, no matter what their element is.

To show how this works I made this fold here and I'm going to keep repeating this pattern. Keep the fold to the left and fold up. If we do this once we get this. Now, if I keep doing it, fold up, to the left, up, to the left, infinite times, or for as much as the paper allows me, you get a very complex pattern, that looks pretty impressive when we have an infinite number of folds and all the angles are right angles, as I'm going to show now

Picture this as an infinetelly thin piece of paper, where we made an infinite amount of those folds and we are unravelling the folds one by one. The pattern tht starts to emmerge is the self-similar representation and is called the dragon curve. The pattern is not obvious at first, but after just a few iterations we get to something that looks like a dragon. Check it out.

We just have to colour all the squares where the curve touches itself, add a bit of scales, some claws, fire and there it is a dragon. Well, thank you all for watching and see you all next time.

Spoiler for DDD:

Lycantrhope|Werewolf:
Lycanthropy

In combination, schizophrenia¹ and hypertrichosis² can give behavorial and external appearances of a person transformng into a werewolf.

¹Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by disturbances of thought and altered perception of reality. The feelings, language, experiences, and perceptions of their environment differ greatly from those of healthy people in the same situation. This altered state of mind and perception of reality could feasibly appear as a person with a spirit or behavioral characteristics of a wild animal (such as a wolf).

²Hypertrichosis results in abnormal hair growth beyond that typical for a person's gender (hair growth where others would have no body hair). Such hair growth combined with activity as described above would give appearance to observers of a werewolf being.

Why would a Lycanthope/Werewolf need the full moon / darkness?

- During the night, it is brightest at full moon giving nocturnal and crepuscular animals such as Wolves will have the greatest success in hunting.
- There is a disease that may be referred to as "lunacy". Here, the full moon can have very different effects. For example insomnia/sleeplessness.
- Insomnia and sleeplessness would increase the chances a person would be awake at unusually late nighttime hours.

While it is unlikely for all of the above to combine in one situation, the possibility certainly exists and would give overall appearance, sense, and activity of a man-wolf (aka Werewolf)!

Spoiler for Silver Ferns:

The True Science Behind . . .
  . . . Animated Weapons !

Flying Weapon | Animated Weapon is a Spell you say? It is magical you say? It is supernatural you say? Only a primordial elemental who hasn't established a rational, modern and scientific way of thinking would still believe that nonsense!

 Origins:

Truth is, the weapon animation is achieved through very small robots called nanomachines (Imagine those nanomachines like tiny, very-very tiny Armagios) that manipulate the object and make it fly. Nanomachines were first created by Graviton researchers, all VIP members of A.R.M.A.G.I.O. (Absolutely Rational Magnetism-related And Gravity-related International Organization).
However, some evil Entropy scientists managed to steal the nanomachine blueprints! After several failed attempts, the two greatest entropic scientists, Maxwell and Schrödinger, had finally managed to replace the Gravity Pull ability of those very-little-tiny Armagios with a new ability called Gravity Push, thus creating an anti-gravity effect and planning to use that against their rival element!
But there is nothing better than stealing from a thief, is there? So, a revolutionary army of Air knowned as SoFreedom Fighters, pulled a succesfull invasion inside the most secret base of D.I.S.C.O.R.D. (Defended Institute of Scientifically Calculated Overthrow of Rival Democracies), hoping to steal chemical weapons than caused Mutations and use them to a terrorist attack towards the Earth States, that ruled all over the Air Nations with the iron fists of their Golems. Fortunately, instead of finding any Mutating chemicals, they found and steal the nanomachine blueprints instead.
Finally, the Air Nations, in spite of lacking the scientific experience and superior technology of both Gravity and Entropy, they managed to decipher the blueprints and constructed the first nanomachines which used their new Gravity Push ability to make a piece of metal ascend to the sky! That "piece of metal" was actually a Longsword, thus making it the first actual flying weapon in existence!

 How It Works:

Nanomachines dig their way deep into the weapon's hilt. They have powerful adamantine drills and the whole process doesn't take more than a few seconds. Once inside, they use the anti-gravity effect of their "Gravity Push" ability to make the weapon ascend and hold it floating to the air. After that, the nanomachines can recieve and execute simple commands via the elemental's Personal Computer, like "attack this", "snipe this", "move there" etc. Every nanomachine co-operates perfectly with each other, executing any commands by moving the weapon with them.

And What About The Special Powers Of The Weapons? Are Those Scientific Too:

 Of course they are!
* Sniping ability is just an extra arrow being shot with purely mundane means.
* Fiery occurs by putting oil all over the sword's blade and litting it up with a match.
* Tsunami happens by shippingly sending powerful vibrations to the ground.
* Morning Star is not really "Immaterial". It is just made by a super hard metal, making it unable to break to pieces and it comes with an alarm that warns its owner if it is about to be Stolen, making the thief run away!
* Vampirism heals you if you are turned on by stabbing your opponent and then licking the blood of your dagger. It is not supernatural, it is just plain gross!
* Arsenic poisons its opponents because it has arsenic at the tip of its blade.
* Pulverizer is just super-extra hard and powerful, shattering anything it strikes with force.
* Momentum is just p=mv, pure science!
* Scramble does nothing; nothing at all. Quanta are just getting messed up because they are completely unstable by their own nature!
* Lobotomizer just lobotomize. Pure orthodox scientific tactics of any mental institution!
* Regeneration comes via completely biological means. Every living being is able to regenerate and close any open wounds, period.
* Reversing Time is the succesful attempt of Time Physicists to perform time travel. It just we can't go back more than a few seconds.

 Conclusion:
With the excuse of nanomachines doing stuff, you can explain EVERYTHING! :P

Spoiler for Silver Ferns:
              NAVAL DUEL!

Silver Ferns (Arthanasios)
                      VS
         Cuckoo's Nest (PlayerOA)

 (A fern-shaped pirate ship approaches a nest-shaped war galleon...)

- TheonlyrealSeadog: The nest-shaped ship has been spotted, captain Nel!

- Captain Annele: Great! Prepare our Catapult!

- Shinning Heart Collector: My collection will grow, muhahahahaha!

- Seacat Sasuk3: I am both saying and not sayig stuff, so my words appear strikethroughed.

- Pirate Terroking: Are you sure this is a text from a novel, writer? It feels more like a text from a comic to me (except for lacking any text bubbles).

- Apoch the Mad Shark: A comic is a graphic novel, so it is fine.

- Crewmember AllCaps: Our special superweapon, the Catapult, is prepared and special Calculations were made to ersure it will hit its target directly and inflict the highest Damage possible!

- Captain Annele: Allcaps, if your superweapon fails I am going to feed you to the shark!

- Apoch the Mad Shark: Hurray! I haven't eaten chicken for a very long time!

- Crewmember AllCaps: No need to worry, captain. I constructed this catapult so it can hit with unmatched speed and accuracy! Sorry to disappoint you, Apoch.

- Apoch the Mad Shark: Too bad... Anyway, I will feast upon the corpses of our victims, muhahahahaha!

- Captain Annele: Seadog, what kind of activities occur to the enemy ship?

- TheonlyrealSeadog: There is a crew member of the Cuckoos looking towards us with a Spy-glass. He has strange purple-yellow-black hair and seems like an ancient egyptian pharaoh. The rest of the crew is looking at some strange blueprints. They look like the blueprints of their superweapon.

- Pirate Terroking: Looking at their blueprints, you say? Does that possibly mean they haven't actually created their tool of descruction yet?

- Shinning Heart Collector: What? If they have not a spuerweapon of theirs, it is an extremely easy prey for us!

- Captain Annele: These are great news. Since we were spotted by their spy, are we ready to attack right away, Allcaps?

- Crewmember AllCaps: Yes we are! This will be a piece of cake! Here we go. Launch!

(An Unstable Gas vial produced by Annele dark powers is being launched by the Catapult right towards the nest-shaped ship.)

- Seacat Sasuk3: I think we will both succeed and fail this task.

 (Meanwhile, in the Cuckoo's Nest...)

- Captain Opsinis: So, our blueprints are ready to be used?

- PlundererOA: Ahoi, captain! Ready to be loaded to the Super-Computer.

- Lieutenant Adretimpa: Once the script is loaded to the Super-Computer, every cannon of the ship is going to Turn towards any nearby target and to Draw the exact amount of firepower needed to annihilate the threat; no more, no less.

- Captain Opsinis: Excellent!

- RussianSeaSpy: Sir, an unknown object is coming directly toward us!

- Sailor Kakerlake: Hmm, have you noticed where it came from, SeaSpy?

- RussianSeaSpy: It was launched by a huge catapult placed on the deck of a fern-shaped ship.

- Tom the Bombarder: They must be the Silver Fern Pirates...

- Cannoneer Absol: And that was Catapult probably the superweapon they made to challenge us!

- Captain Opsinis: Plunderer and Lieutenant, make haste! Quick, load the blueprints now to deal with this threat!

- PlundererOA: No need to worry, captain. I can take care of that projectile by myself.

(By chanting a few ancient egyptian words and waving his hands, PlundererOA manages to Rewind the vial filled with Unstable Gas back to the Ferns. The vial falls from the sky directly on the Catapult, it explodes and starts burning both the Catapult and the fern-shaped ship. Like that wasn't enough, the Cuckoos load their script to the Super-Computer and launch a rain of egg-shaped cannonballs towards their opponents! But these cannonballs do not explode; they are actual eggs! These eggs hatch and a dozen of small cuckoos ran to the food supplies, depleting them in mere seconds! Then the cuckoos flew away like nothing had happened
The fern ship was burned and sunk while the starved crew managed to swim to a small island, with the exception of SeaCat Sakus3 who both managed and did not managed to reach the shore. Starving to death, the Silver Ferns are starting to think what would be more tasty; a grilled Cockatrice with blueberries or a boiled one with cononauts?)

Spoiler for Whispers in the Dark:
The arena is ready, exultant shouts from both sides waiting for the 2 knight to appear. The rules are easy. Only one of them allowed go out on it's own feet. And now, one of the knights came into the circle. The luminous knight, the noble lord of Time, andretimpa appeared. Loud hail spreads through the thin air. But the other knight doesn't lets them wait for too long, dim fog appears and soon it's cloaks the whole Arena. A silent whisper in andre's mind warning for the battle.
~You should better prepare your sword, we'll start soon.~
Andretimpa slow down the Time around him, gained enough to pull out his sword and prepare for the attack.
~You've wasted a lot of effort to delay my first attack, but I haven't planned to attack you until you have nothing in your hand... But soon you will find out how useless that lifeless shape of steel really is.~
The shades moving forward to andretimpa and a a forming hand from the darkness reaches him. He swiftly cuts through that shade, but there wasn't anything under.
~And now let me to prove it.~
The Megron, the Darkness knight using up his opponent tilting with windmills, taking a precise attack under it's shoulder.
-Why do you hiding from me, are you fear or what?- says the noble knight.
~I have nothing to fear from, I just want to defend you from publicly shamed by losing  against me.~
The shades are circulating again around the Time knight, but now he doesn't want to defend, just actively waiting for the real attack to make a counterstrike in that second. It not takes long, but more interestingly the second attack is for disarmament. Defended and hit back instantly, but his sword stopped and the sound of steel hitting steel hit both if their ears.
~Why would you use one weapon, if you can 2?~
But now that he's defenseless, a second, but more clear and vicious attack, and rips apart his mail. The sword is short, it reduces the power of attack greatly, but still makes enough damage to determinate the end of battle. It would, but andre has one more trick in his pocket. Collecting all of his remaining power to change the whole procession of battle. The spell actually works and the cogwheels of time starting to turn backward. He replays the battle in a second, but changing every little thing and mistake in it. The cloak falls down and Megron is lying on the ground broken and lifeless.

Spoiler for Cuckoo's Nest:
Andretimpa vs. MegroN, Radio Announcement

Welcome to the 4th Round of the Brawl three. Today we have a challenge from the Cuckoos to the Whispers in the Dark. They gotta paint an elemental without any digital help. Yes, you heard right, they have to do it in real life, with their own hands. I can already hear the bones cracking folks. This gotta be a glorious mortal combat of two giants!

And here they come! In the yellow corner, Andretimpa just entered the ring, his pencil is already whirling between his fingers, clearly he's full of adrenaline and can't wait to get started!
In the black corner, MegroN ... is still missing. What happened? Did he get lost? - Ah no, there he is! Sory folks, I couldn't see him with his cloak still on, but he was already there who ever knows how long! Now, he's laughing, pointing fingers and taunting his opponent. Guess he's trying to confuse his opponent to get an advantage before the fight even started.
I'm not picking any sides here folks, but let's hope the rude one gets his butt and back pinned to the floor!

The gong rings, the fight starts, who's gonna land the first hit?
Both contestants immediatly picked the pencil and started scribbling something. I can't yet see what they are trying to do. Some random squigly lines in the yellow corner, maybe he's trying to do a water elemental? Not the best choice in my honest opinion. While there are still no clear forms for the Cuckoos, the Whispers already have a face, and hair! It might become a fire elemental. Great choice there, fire is stronger than water and will surely give them the win! MegaroN doesn't let up and takes out his colors, Yellow, Red and even some Blue! A strong combo!

But what's that? Andretimpa transformed his squigly lines into a mountain! Uuuugh! What a cheap shot! The referee was admiring the black corner's work and didn't even glance at what the yellow corner is doing! What an amateur. Andretimpa is already shading and finishing his work, and there is no time for MegaroN to counter that move. Just a few seconds are left, but MegaroN doesn't give up so easily. I can't even see his hands anymore, it's insane!

There it is, the gong, the battle is over! What a match, folks. What a match! I'm sweating oceans here!
Let's take a look at the results. Wow, so painting, such perfection, much art, wow! Clearly both should be deemed the winner. But as we all know, earth is stronger than fire and that leaves only one winner: Andretimpa of the Cuckoos!

Thanks for listening, we'll be back next time when it's again brawl time!

Spoiler for DDD:
Round 4 WitD vs Cuckoo's Nest

... The 2 elementals were thrown into an arena. Fairly large. Made to look like it was stone, carved the same way.
"AFTER THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, YOU WILL GO TO YOUR AREAS OF BUILDING. THERE, YOU WILL FIND A LARGE PILE OF SCRAP METAL. YOU WILL BUILD SOMETHING OUT OF THIS SCRAP. WHAT YOU BUILT WILL BE USED AS A FIGHTING TOOL FOR THIS ARENA. WHOEVER CAN DESTROY THE ENEMY'S CONSTRUCTION WILL WIN. THE VICTOR SHALL BE REWARDED GENEROUSLY. THE LOSER, FED TO THE BEAST..." the overvoice said to both the elementals, and the awaiting crowd.

Demetrius and his opponent make eye contact as the announcement ends. He doesn't want to be the cause of death to Andrew, but it was the only thing standing between him and life. They turn away from each other and walk off to their designated rooms.
"Ugh, I hate these damn gravity elementals and their obsession with building things" Demetrius says. "What am i to build with these things anyway?"
He hears his opposition working with whatever he has, wondering what he could be building.

---

After what seemed like days, the announcer called halt to the building. Demetrius looks up to his construct, amazed at what he was able to come up with. It is blue, made to resemble the god octane. It has a fiery headband and breathes fire. It also has numerous other bands across its body.
"THE TIME FOR BUILDING IS NOW OVER. YOU MUST NOW COME OUT TO THE ARENA" the announcer books across the stadium.
Demetrius walks out of his building area and sees a large, rock like figure standing behind the his enemy. It's a pretty basic design, yet incredible effective.

The stone golem immediately charges towards octane, fist in the air, getting ready to punch octane. Octane tries to fend it away with a fireball but it has no effect on the golem. Octane smashes into the wall, leaving a gaping hole in it. The god struggles out of the wall, severely damaged, but still able to fight... Just...

Demetrius remembered he programmed a trick for octane to use. This would allow it to breathe an ignitable gas.
"Hope it thinks to use it..." Demetrius says to himself.
Octane stands there, waiting for the golem to do something.
"C'mon, use it"
The golem charges towards for a second attack. If it lands, it will end the match.
"Come on!"
The golem starts to lunge it's fist towards octane when it unleashes the ability. It breathes a gas and ignites it with an ember from the headband. There is a massive explosion and both constructs are thrown back. A large cloud of smoke covers the field, concealing the end result.

The smoke around the golem clears first, revealing that its left arm, as well as the left half of its body, was blown off in the blast. It starts to move, still showing signs of life.

Then the smoke above octane clears, revealing a half-melted face and the right arm and leg destroyed in the explosion. Octane is gone, Demetrius has lost.

"THE WINNER IS ANDREW HARGROVE" the announcer says, barely audible over the screaming of the crowd. They saw a good match. One of the best in a long time, and one of the best for some time ahead.

What happened to demetrius? That's gonna be saved for a different story ;)

Spoiler for Divine Light:
“You Sent For Us, Lord Expert?” asked the head of the WordCaps, breaking the silence in the throne room after hours. “Is Everything Alright?”

“ACTUALLY, EVERYTHING’S NOT ALRIGHT,” replied Lord Expert ALLCAPS, irritation punctuating his every word. “DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK YOU TO GET HERE?”

“Uhhh, A Few Minutes I Guess.”

“FIVE , TO BE PRECISE. IN WHICH TIME A ROGUE WAGERER COULD’VE SNUCK IN, DONE AWAY WITH OUR POINTS, AND BEEN ON HIS MERRY WAY TO VICTORY.” ALLCAPS raged.

“My Apologies, Lord Expert.” The WordCaps chimed, but ALLCAPS promptly ignored them.

“IS THIS HOW YOU PLAN TO TREAT YOUR NEW BRAWLLORD? WITH TARDINESS AND DISLOYALTY?”

“The WordCaps Would Never Betray You.” The WordCap leader said softly.

“I’M SURE THAT’S WHAT YOU TOLD SMALLCAPS BEFORE YOU TURNED AGAINST HIM AND JOINED ME.”

Finally ALLCAPS delivered his judgement, “YOU’RE ALL BANISHED. PLEASE SEND IN THE NEXT GROUP ON YOUR WAY OUT.”

The WordCaps looked at their lord in disbelief, but finally they got up from kneeling and shuffled out of the room.

--------------

“YoUr ExPeRtIsE,” a frail voice came in through the door.

“WHO’S THERE?” Thundered ALLCAPS. He had run out of servants to banish in the last hour, and his temper was on the rise.

“I’m OnE oF tHe AlTeRcApS, yOuR cApNeSs. It Is TiMe FoR yOuR cOrOnAtIoN.”

A smiled appeared on ALLCAPS face for the first time that day. He walked out of the throne room, instructing the ancient AlTeRcAp to follow. They both made their way through hallway after hallway, each with walls littered with calligraphic capitals. AlTeRcAp turned to his lord, “SiR, iF I mAy AsK, wHy HaVe YoU bAnIsHeD aLl Of YoUr SeRvAnTs?”

“NONE OF THEM COULD BE TRUSTED.” ALLCAPS sighed. “SOONER OR LATER EACH OF THEM WOULD HAVE TURNED AGAINST ME.”

AlTeRcAp looked at ALLCAPS, the words  “I’m SoRrY yOuR cApNeSs, BuT yOu’Re JuSt NoT rEaDy FoR tHis” revolving in his mind. But before he could muster up his courage, they had arrived at the Coronation Room.

AlTeRcAp let out a long breathe and simply strode to the crown. He raised it high, and started saying the words he had promised to never utter, “By DeCrEe oF tHe BrAwLmAsTeRs, I nOw DeClArE yOu, BrAwLlOrD…”

“WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? DO IT!” ALLCAPS shouted, turning his head to face the dumbfounded AlTeRcAp.

But then a wild Cuckoo had appeared, carrying in its claws a gigantic nest. From that nest out rolled a Pharaoh holding a Staff of Eternity. “I’m sorry,” he said overdramatically, “but you’re not gonna become the BrawlLord today.”

“LOL, YOU’RE HILARIOUS,” ALLCAPS smirked.

“And you’re going down.” Cawed the Cuckoo, miraculously gaining the gift of speech.

ALLCAPS rose, and motioned AlTeRcAp to stop the ceremony. “WAIT! YOU WANT TO SEE WHO’S THE BETTER EXPERT? FINE, LET’S SETTLE THIS. JUST YOU AND ME, OAOA. THE SHOWDOWN THAT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE. CHALLENGI-KAI!!”

“The name’s Player, PlayerOa.” The Pharaoh said, “And you’re on!”

And so they battled, their awesome expertise bursting out like firestorms as they vied for greatness. They frantically searched for the One Tool to Rule Them All (which was the Deck Collection tool, but shush) and to make a better Tool. In the end, they were both exhausted from the pressure of two tasks in one round.

Then ALLCAPS raised his hand. “EXPERTISE? I’LL SHOW YOU MY EXPERTISE.” And with that he took out a Catapult, and sent out several fat creatures at his opponent. But he had miscalculated, and Oa had accounted for the odds of his speed. He quickly equipped his mirror shield and turned ALLCAPS’s creatures against him.

And so, as several humongous creatures came hurling through the air at him, ALLCAPS caught sight of his face in the Mirror Shield. He was startled, observing his deficit wings and his jaws forming a beak. “I LOOK LIKE A CUCKOO!” he screamed, “MY LIFE IS A LIE!”

And then his weak legs gave away, and he fell down to his knees. Thus, as the proud Forum Expert kneeled for the first time, his affliction of ALLCAPS was cured, and he took that name no more. And they all lived happily ever after.

(Except for Divine Light, who were put in fourth position due to ALLCAPS failing at the duel, but shush with the ranting you.)

Cause we’re the whispers in the dark

Ohhhhh ahaaaaaaaaa hum mm hum mm  x2

And here you thought you were lonely
You'll never guess how wrong you were
And here you thought you were in safety
And that’s when you met the whispers

And They
Will never leave you alone
They'll always be there
Make your last prayers

When the sun goes down
When the sky turns black
It’s time for the whispers in the dark
To get out and attack

When you get outside
When you look at the stars

Spoiler for lyrics if you don't like music:
Ops wanted his team back, but hadn't learned his lesson from last time.
He spent all his points right at the start and hoped that we were worth them all.
But we were cuckoos in the nest. Cuckoos in the nest.
Cuckoos in the nest ... in the nest.

He brought the gang back with some new faces and we got down to work fast.
Everything was so fine even though we knew we were in last.
Oa and Spy were really fine and sure as not they did their best.
And Kaker kept playing his games, but everytime he had done his decks.
Tom and Absol made their tasks even though they were never there.
And andre made some silly drawings, trying to explain why he's worth 10 points.
Things were looking really good for the cuckoos and their nest.
The cuckoos in the nest .... in the nest.

But Ops had to leave us very soon and everything started to fall apart.
We thought that we could handle it at first, but the tasks started to pile fast.
People started leaving ... and sometimes we feel like screaming
We all need a rest, this Brawl has been quite a test.
and even though we started at last, we'll show that we are the best.
The cuckoos in the nest ... in the nest.

Spoiler for DDD:
Song: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1wjM8sb4j63
Song Text:
When we came to this brawl we had plans.
Think of what a man can do with his hands.
I don't care who wins or if you talk about my accent,
I just wanna see a team on first place, that deserves it.
Slow motion - no emotion
Odii Odsen - Deep like the ocean.
You dare to come in our land, our earth,
but no one here comes out alive like a stillbirth

Na na na...

Triple D - triple D - triple D
round 6 - killing spree - killig spree - killing spree ...

boss task :
SF - This really made me laugh :) Well thought.
CN - meh. I don't know. It did not attract me, really.
DL - You really disappointed me there. After 6 rounds of brawl, I'd expect a little originality instead of coming with crusader over crusader over crusader.
DDD - Pretty well made, but not enough for my vote.

Vote : Ferns.

artist task :
Cuckoo's got my vote here.
I also liked DDD's work, but it was a little bit under cuckoo to me.

CD task :
I might be picky, but there always seems to be a task where i dislike the submissions, and this is one.
SF : Playing 2 sky blitz in one turn? no thanks, thats definitely op to me.
DDD: make a blessing in other? why that? why would you want to overshadow blessing?
CN : that was the obvious thing to do. Joe had this idea at first and I told him it wouldn't get votes for it being so unoriginal.
DL : 6 fire bolts. 6 scrolls. you see where I'm going?

deckbuilder :
Now, this may sound bad but :
DDD gets my vote easily for being the only team who chose a hero I know.

FE:
I really love DDD's idea, something I had not thought of myself. That's really something that would be a great adding, definitely gets my vote.

OT:
True science between animated weapons ... that's genius right there. very very tiny armagios got me to do a very very tiny vote more towards ferns.

writer : my vote goes to cuckoo

Bonus:
For divine Light, I really loved the first 30 seconds. I was disappointed with what came next, it could have been truely wonderful, has lots of potential.
cuckoo: As i said in chat, i truely love the melody. It is great work.
DDD : personal opinion maybe, but i simply did not like it. I listened to it ocne and wouldnt listen again.

My voting (not neccecarily final):

BOSS: Divine Light & Silver Ferns (I love the whole effort put into the Crusader. I also like Nel's work; it is funny in a nice way.)

ARTIST: Silver Ferns & Cuckoo's Nest (I actually like both of these submissions, because they are both extreme but with a totally different way. The first one, which is the work of Shining Heart, represents simplicity and uses hand-written sketch to its extreme. On the other hand, Adretimpa's work represents complication and digital drawing to its extreme too!)

CARD DESIGNER: Cuckoo's Nest & Silver Ferns (Cuckoo's Nest idea just blow me out of the water. Terro's idea may be proven OP with some cards but it offers a great amount of many new deckbuilding possibilities, so I can forgive that.)

DECK BUILDER: Whispers in the Dark & Silver Ferns (Very good usage of the underused Web/Wings combo and an obviously true representation of Spiderman in WitD. As for SF, it gets my vote for perfectly matching every single card type, even pillars/pends, with the represented hero.)

OFF-TOPICKER: Silver Ferns & Divine Light (Just personal preferation, nothing more, nothing less.)

FORUM EXPERT: Death Dost Dominate & Whispers in the Dark (I believe both of these submissions were great, suggesting awesome new stuff to the game!)

WRITER: Divine Light & Silver Ferns (Both of these tasks made me laugh, but I am probably ultra-biased here, since I am between the protagonists.)

BONUS: Cuckoo's Nest & Divine Light (Excellent song for CN, excellent music for DL.)

{Okay, I am probably a little biased with my team's submissions. I may try to fix that.}

At a sidenote, I would love to see more Challanges and Wagers at FBrawl#4. It is a shame not to use some of the most awesome Brawl mechanics to spice up the event a little bit.
Other than that, excellent work everyone! See you all at FBrawl#4! :D

Card Design: Vote
Death Dost Dominate followed by Divine Light

Card Design: Informed Opinion
This round was a bit disappointing. Good design for Other cards but little innovation.

WitD: Elitism
Mass creature buff.
You have 2 mechanics to prevent rainbow OP: 1) It only affects 1 element, 2) It harms other elements.
Good note on a potential mark of chroma.

SF: Prismatic Might
Play expensive Mono cards in a Rainbow.
Seems rather limited in utility.
Good note on the "drain all" spells.

DDD: Harm|Bless
Blessing is in the game and Harm is a very old card suggestion called Curse.
I like your design intent.

CN: Behemoth's Construct
Scaling Other creatures have been done frequently. Although you version uses a different scaling mechanic.

DL: Scroll
Echo beat you to it. Still it is a nice idea.

He can play sky blitz, and then use his card to use another skyblitz. It doesn'T matter that all air quanta has been drained since the 2nd sky blitz is used for free.

Boss: Probably Divine Light, just because of how much work you put into the scroll art and etc.

Artists: Cuckoo's Nest for their nice work, though the out-of-board cards are kind of lame. I will also list DDD for their familiar yet sensible re-imagining, thought I'd want you to distinguish between the creature field and the permanent field a bit more, too. and silver ferns are you even serious right now

Card Designer: Whispers in the Dark gets my vote for their extreme thematics and Divine Light also makes a very nice point with their fourth-wall breaking idea. Good job to just about everyone in this category, it was a close race here.

Deckbuilder: After some deliberation, I'll have to go with Whispers in the Dark again for their thorough testing and well-built deck. Good show all around.

Forum Expert: Whispers in the Dark again(!) for their helpful suggestions, though Cuckoo's Nest gets a prize as well for what seems to be sensible.

Off-Topics: Silver Ferns get the nano-cake for their pseudo-logical thinking and big blue text. Nice job, you guys.

Writer: Divine Light gets this one, you (not so) sneaky reference-ers you.
Also, while I grant that Silver Ferns and Cuckoo's Nest are both good, they'll have to fight for my affections here. No dice, you two teams.

Bone-us Time: Cuckoo's Nest in a landslide. That was really good, and I mean that.
