Brawl #3 - Round 5 Voting

Boss: 1. DDD -- looks pretty stable & effective setup and still manages to score 6 different elements with only 2 types of pendulums
          2. Silver Ferns -- very different style from the above, focusing on light & crusaders but enough stalling power to get those weapons out

Artist: 1. Divine Light -- I would not have voted for this if I only saw the end result, but the method of creation with that turntable is genius
          2. DDD -- just love that drawing

CD+DB: 1. DDD -- go go Rob, make those skeletons OP
               2. Silver Ferns -- fun and new concept

FE: you guys all worked too hard for me to read through all and make a sound vote, so I chicken out of this one with a TL;DR sorry...

OT: 1. Silver Ferns -- I know you guys are trying to bribe the BM, but its still funny
       2. Cuckoo's -- I just like this one

Writer: all submissions were great, it was  a really tough choice, but at the end I decided I liked these 2 the most:

Card Design: Informed Opinion
DDD:
Card - A skeleton Lord (all skeletons get +X|+Y) is rather unimaginative. Not to say it isn't a good design, just we have seen them many times before.
Deck - Fractal for skeletons? I would have expected a Graveyard based deck.

DL:
Card - On the cheap side by my estimate. The ability is an old idea.
Deck - Good use of a Luciferase. You forgot to make use of your overflowing  though.

CN:
Card - Nice new effect. When the ability is used it is too cheap for the benefit. When the ability is not used it is too expensive.
Deck - Good job showing the use of the ability.

SF:
Card - Self cloaking is not new. Luckily it is only intended as antiCC here since self cloaking does not hide what card was played. I think the other effect is new to this forum but has lots of precedent in other CCGs. Great notes though!
Deck - Good job showing the use of the 2nd ability.

Card - Nice new effect. It creates a persistent threat. However I bet it is OP with Patience.
Deck - Evidence of it being OP with Patience?

Late comment on the artists (yay for not having a single free momment for a week)

DDD: Nice drawing, the only thing that is off in the anatomy is the hand closer to the blade, but hands are hard to do. eljoemo said it already, but using lined paper for the final version is something to be avoided, since it detracts from the result. (it is fine for sketches)
witd: Don't be afraid to shade closer to the whispers, they are not supposed to look shiny. Also, for shading darkness a bolder pencil is needed (HB won't cut it), or coloured black pencils. The problem with dark shades is more serious after you scan, as it kills the contrast a bit. If you go for bolder pencils you could also do a bit of blending/smudging to get things smoother (there are lot of tutorials on how to build a tortillon on the internet and they are easy to work with)
Ferns: Taking a photo really killed the picture. The concept was a bit meh.
DL: A bit on the abstract side and I thought it wouldn't be appreciated as it should because of that. The technique really blowed my mind and got my vote.

I didn't actually chose OAG to bribe the BMs (though it was definitely on my mind because of nae's avatar) but because it was the easiest one I could think of.   It wasn't as easy as I first anticipated though - my eyes hurt like hell and I had to keep redoing it (I made enough mistakes to make a whole blooper reel). Major props to the real OAG.
Also I realise my singing's not the greatest.

Indeed, making the title to be the link itself without an underline made it very easy to miss. I clicked on all other links in the submission and was wondering what am I missing here until accidentally realized the title was the link for the heart of the submission.

It was a very impressive work !
