I vote for team Divine Light and team Cuckoo's Nest for the Writer Task.
I vote for team Death Dost Dominate and team Divine Light for the Artist Task. Not much to be said.
I vote for team Cuckoo's Nest for the Deckbuilder task. Rest of the teams and other deckbuilders - If you want to watch your deck get verbally abused, open the spoiler below.
Spoiler for Hidden:
Let's start by a simple thing that every single deck besides Cuckoo's Nest... is a rainbow. Great originality there, other teams. And here I was expecting a few original stuff, but no. Let's just go with the thing that I see posted in forums three times every day, why don't we.
Now, let's tackle them individually. This is how they're placed, if you will; Cuckoo's Nest is first, silver ferns is second, etc.
Cuckoo's Nest: At a first glance I was expecting a Pharaoh Duo and was about to skip it, but then I noticed the description had a bunch of different creatures in it. It's like a mash up of time/gravity cards that somehow manage to work together and (according to the description, if you guys aren't lying to me) win against AI4 consistently. Also, everything is written neatly. No doubts the best deck submission of this round, by far.
Silver Ferns: That's a really nice timebow you have there, but it's nothing I haven't seen. Upgrading it doesn't make it new. I like how it's formatted (Spoilered deck description and what creature represents who), but there are a few grammar mistakes here and there. While the deck win rate is nice and all, I can't bring myself to vote for something that is generic. Although you guys are the second possible vote for me. Although I really like the splash that being able to fractal multiple creatures bring. Actually, I might just vote for you guys later on, after checking it more thoroughly.
Death Dost Dominate: It's a bit different than most speedbows (which is why you're getting third), but the fact that it's a simple poison bow does not appeal to me either. "Proof of beating AI4" is great, the descriptions for each creature/card relation is superficial at best, and the deck itself isn't an eye candy.
Both Divine Light and Whispers in the Dark:
I am convinced whoever votes for these need to have their concept of originality redone from scratch, OR is part of either team and is voting for themselves (If that is possible by the rules.) Neither is anything new (Hey, speedbows), it just feels (and looks) generic, it is absolutely the opposite that I would expect when hunting for the submissions. Both of the submissions are extremely disappointing. Whispers in the Dark is possibly the worst of the two - Divine Light has the bonus of being written correctly, but the layout of the writing of Whispers in the Dark makes it seem as it was done as obnoxiously as humanly possible. I wouldn't be far off saying that these two submissions have left me extremely disappointed and not looking forward to any deck submissions of these teams in the future.
If you find anything too offensive, just tell me.
As a disclaimer, I still love all of you deckbuilders. These are just my honest thoughts.
