What is Forum Brawl?Forum Brawl is a forum event where up to 12 teams show their awesomeness against each other in different tasks that happen all around the forums.
Teams will have 7 members, each with their own
special role. Players go head-to-head against players from other teams by doing tasks based on what their role is. The community decides which players perform the best, and points are awarded accordingly. After 6 rounds of brawling, the team with the highest score will be the winner.
What makes Forum Brawl different from most other events is the fact that
there is no PvP in Forum Brawl. The event is all about creativity, artistic skills, and most importantly, forum awesomeness.
BrawlmasterWe will have two
Brawlmasters who are responsible for Forum Brawl event. They will have an active role in designing the tasks for each round, and will handle all the day-to-day actions like posting new topics or replying to questions about the event. Brawlmasters will be appointed by the Elements Council. This time around they are
Naesala and
Chapuz.
How to Join Forum BrawlForum Brawl will usually happen right after War event ends. Once the sign-up topic is posted and the Bosses are made public, any community members may join the event.
Each player will create a short application in their own thread for the generals to later vote on. An example is given below. Players should list their top 3 favorite teams, top three favored roles, time zone, and availability. Additionally, members should, if able, create a short portfolio of their works via links to show their ability and should write a small paragraph on why they would be good members for Brawl. Important things to consider are dependability, availability, and skill.
Building the TeamGenerals will have 50 initial points to be spent on their team members. They will bet with these points and will start Brawl with the remaining ones. They can not go into negative points.
If 2 Bosses bet equally for a player, the player decides the team they will be in.
If a role does not receive enough people wishing to fill it, it may be dropped from the event.
Roles1. BossEach team will have a
Boss whose main responsibility is to build the team. Boss will also participate in the event by dueling other Bosses in random tasks. Boss is different from other roles because you cannot sign-up as a boss.
Masters of each element will first be given the opportunity to become a Boss. If a Master is unable or unwilling to join the event, he or she can name a replacement. The event is
not compulsory, so Masters should not be afraid to use a replacement if they feel they do not have enough time or interest.
2. Card DesignerCard Designers duel other Card Designers by producing a new card idea based on theme and restrictions posted each round.
3. DeckbuilderDeckbuilders duel other Deckbuilders by building unique decks based on theme and restrictions posted each round.

RoundsForum Brawl has a total of
6 rounds, each lasting
7 days. A new round will start as soon as the last one ends. Tasks will be relatively simple so 7 days should be more than enough time to perform them. Overall workload of Forum Brawl will be much less than in events like War and Trials. The event lasts 7-8 weeks in total.
ScoringScoring will be based on community vote and bonus points given by the Expert Panel.
1. Community Vote Each round, there will be a public poll on all submissions. Each forum member receives two votes and polls will run for 6 days.In the event of a tie, tied submissions will add their points together and divide evenly. Any extra points will be dropped.

Scoring will happen during rounds so that the scoring of round 1 will happens during round 2, scoring of round 2 happens during round 3, etc.
Challenges Each player may once, at any time, challenge another in the same role to a contest they choose in their field. They both have one week to complete the assignment. The community votes on the challenges the next voting phase. The winner gains 8 points and the loser loses 8 points. The challengee may decline the challenge, in which case they forfeit 5 points.
Challenges are declared by PMing the Brawlmasters but not the challengee. Challengers will title the PM [Challenge] [Challenging team] within the first four days of a round. If the Brawlmasters approve the challenge, they will send the approval to the challenger and challengee. Both players must submit their finished work by the end of the next round. Submissions will be voted on in the next voting round. If the challengee does not make a submission, they will have been considered as declining.
Wagers Each player can, up to 2 times, bet against another in the same role for any amount of points between 6 and 15. If the wager is accepted, the players bid the amount points decided by the wagerer. If it is declined, that player loses 5 points.
The wager consists of getting more votes than the other player in the next round.
Wagers are declared by PMing the Brawlmasters and the target of the wager with the title [Wager] [Wagering Team] within the first three days of a new round. The wagered player must answer to the wagerer and the Brawlmasters if he accepts or not, BEFORE the next round's tasks are revealed. If there is no response by that time, it is considered as a declined wager.
WinnerThe team that has the most points after all 6 rounds, wins the event. All members of the team will receive a cool forum award icon and tons of respect.
This event is no longer under construction, but we still appreciate feedback. If you have any ideas on how to improve the rules, please post it in the Suggestions and Feedback topic. Thank you.
