Apologies for the delay in posting. My laptop's battery died just after the match ended.

He had a one-pillar start. I had a good start and came right out with Recluses and a Bone Wall. Pande killed the Recluses. I played another. At 70HP, he played Dim Shield. Then he played a Phase Dragon. Useless against the Wall he buffed, but also made my Plagues useless.
I waited for break in his Dims. Then the Waiting Game got weird. First, I saw, "opponent not responding", but the AI didn't take over. Later, the duel desync'd, forcing the AI to take over. By then, I had played 3 Dragons when his chain dropped for one turn. He had 5 Dragons in play. Even with a perfect draw on the Walls, my Dragons could not outlast his Dims before his Dragons finished me. Lost to AI and accepted the loss.

My turn for a one-pillar draw. Fortunately, my critters are cheap. He played one Phoenix and a Fire Shield, but it didn't matter. I had too much of a head start, and I outrushed him with more than 60HP remaining.

As soon as I saw his Death mark, I suspected I would win this one. When I froze his Bloodsucker two turns in, and he messaged me, "nuuuu stall", I knew I would win.
I froze his Suckers and eventually Antimattered them, after which he killed them. He transformed my two Abominations into 23 Malignant Cells. Since we each had shields up, that was the end of the excitement. With 6 cards left in his deck, my opponent retired.

Although he had slow quanta, he had enough to play Octopi and freeze my Dragons. He definitely slowed the superfast quality of this deck. I got him to 15HP, and suddenly the tide turned. I couldn't attack anymore, and there were Steamies everywhere! We got each other down to 3HP before he knocked me out.

When Beef saw I was playing Ghostquake, he expected to lose. When he played Titan, I got nervous. When he TU'd a Ghost, I got REALLY nervous. I chose to play only one EQ on the first turn because I wanted the second EQ to kill more than one Pendulum. That allowed him the quanta to TU my Ghost, and that made all the difference. I got him down to 5HP before he dealt the final blow.
Adding insult to injury, the RNG gave me a Nymph on my last turn. Only one turn sooner, and I would have won.
And with that, I'm out of yet another PvP event. This is getting old.
Very good match, my friend. It was excitement down to the wire. Well done.
