I have no favorites but I can post a list of good fiction reads. Ive read a lot of nonfiction
too but reality other than science and history is of no concern for me and even that is boring.
So I will only suggest fiction.

To that I would like to add two other series of light reading.
Codex Alera by Jim Butcher book 1-6(end)
A lost Roman Legion have settled and populated another world and learned to command elemental beings called Furies. Ages later and we follow the boy turning man "Tavi" whos got no powers and is considered a freak, but he got a brain like no other and use it to outmaneuver everyone. I like the fact that he ages 2 year between each book and each book until now (I'm currently reading nr 5) have had a clean ending.
Dresden Files 1-13 (20 or so planned) by Jim Butcher
Harry Dresden professional Wizard detective in modern day Chicago. When supernatural things goes bump in the night he is the one to call. A
fantasy kitchen sink story with lots of humor and wise ass attitude and each book is a contained story. I would murder someone if there was a series that long with cliffhangers. Dead Beat (7th in the series) is the best one in the series as of yet. Things went over the top with one of the best "crowning moment of awesome" you will ever read.
Got two upcoming books to read and if anyone of you have read them i would gladly hear from you, those are.

The Passage by Justin Cronin
