NOTES:
Primer card-ifies the concept of a creature travelling back in time, to join your side of the battle... in the past!

Obviously, in order not to create a paradox, the creature has to actually enter the time machine in the future. This is represented by you playing the card a turn after Primer is activated.

Playing the creature via Primer is free: you lose no quanta, and the creature is duplicated right from your hand. When you play the creature the next turn, you spend the quanta, the card leaves your hand, but the creature does not appear on the field (after all, it's only going into the time machine, and will be played on the field in the previous turn).

Primer's effect is an activated ability with no per-use cost. Once it has been used, it enters an "activated" state. When activated, it can't be used to send another creature back in time. It's also tied to the creature that was time-travelled - if the Primer is destroyed, then that creature can't go back in time, and you'll make a paradox...

Once you send the correct creature back in time, the "activated" effect ends and Primer can be used again.

There's no way to distinguish between individual cards in Elements, so the specific card that enters the time machine doesn't matter. Only the type of card itself does - you can't send a Gnome Rider back in time and have a Pharaoh pop out the other end. If you use Primer on a card, play the original card itself, and then next turn use Fractal to generate a bunch more of that card, they can go time travel with no problem.

If you don't play the required creature, or are unable to, or the Primer is destroyed in the meantime, then you've created a paradox! The time-travelled creature becomes a Singularity as the universe tries to work out what the hell is going on.

If your opponent steals an activated Primer, it becomes their responsibility to send that creature back in time! Of course, if they don't... the Singularity will still appear on your side of the field.

If you have no creatures in your hand, then the time machine is empty! Ever turned on an empty microwave? There's a spark, and then disaster... a Spark is played on your side of the field, then the Primer destroys itself. (This Spark won't become a Singularity)

Primer is a powerful but squishy card, and could see applications in rush decks that look to push the limits of speed.

To the Brawlmasters:

I liked this task - the artifact usage wasn't gimmicky and added to it. I prefer this to tasks where it said "you may do this"
