As you're walking through your travels, you spot a rare flower on the ground, known to be incredibly sensitive to the environment, but also capable of producing unusual chemicals that can restore energy and life. Do you want to see if you can extract its nectar?
[Sure]
[Just leave it and keep exploring]
1. As you approach it, it begins emitting a soft glow, but upon touching it shrivels up and dies. Suddenly, you feel weakened, and realize that the plant's death has triggered a reaction and has begun to absorb your energy. You manage to escape, but feel somewhat more tired than usual. (-2 Energy)
2. You approach it cautiously and try not to harm it, but it suddenly bursts into a ball of light, and you feel yourself renewed. (+10 HP)
1. You try to carefully grab the flower and squeeze it to extract the dew; although the process was painfully slow, you managed to get the energizing nectar. (+10 Energy)
2. Upon nearing the flower, the flower immediately becomes black and emits a lavender cloud of smoke... which you choke on. You walk away feeling somewhat nauseous, occasionally staggering and dry heaving due to the pain. (-5 HP)
A Time Elemental is walking along the hillside with several scrolls on his back, until he spots you; he enthusiastically runs towards you and asks politely: "Hey there! Would you be interested in learning the secrets of our realm? I'll personally teach you the tricks to fighting, history, culture, and even survival tactics for only 15 gold!"
[Pay up and listen]
[Just walk away]
1. He teaches you a few tricks on how to deal with some of the more nasty monsters out there, as well as allowing you to perform said trick upon him! You also take note of some famous plants, use a special medication administered by him to recover your wounds, and finally say your goodbye to him, feeling more [intelligent] rejuvenated than ever. (+6 HP, +6 Energy) [PREFERRED: +5 Exp]
2. What was supposed to be informative instead turns out to be a useless story time session; after him saying the phrase "It was RUMORED" for the 17th time, you walk away completely agitated, wondering if his scrolls would have taught you anything useful besides lame mythology jokes. (no Reward)
