Let's assume at each overtime a master bids 14 on someone.
Now, let's say masters are silly beasts and rebid, and that players are silly beasts and wait till the end to decide.
15 (number of bids) * 12 (number of generals) - 62 (total number of 14bids placed already) = 118.
That's the number of overtimes left in worse situation.

 Yes and changes need to happen in the next war, I have a suggestion;

 Generals can make 14 bids in only 1 player, if the player chooses another team, then the generals can make a new 14 bid in another
 Limit the total bids today 70, reduced to 50, if the total of bids is greater than 50, the general can not make new bids until a second phase to complete their team.
 (edit) if a general has a full team he also can not make bids.

IMO teams should be reduced so that at least 12 players are left out in the auction.

Unfortunately it's too late to change the team size, and has been since bidding started getting out of hand. Reducing team size now would have quite a few consequences, of which some big concerns are how unfair it is to the Generals who have been placing their bids based on having 6 players, and the fact that suddenly we'd have 12 or so extra people who aren't in the team, which Generals might want to bid on.

That's an overestimate, ignores some other rules, such as that Deuce can no longer make valid bids, since he had a 5x14 team that all have choosen  , furthermore several Gens have players on whom they bid <14, but the player has received 14 -bid from elsewhere and accepted it, which mean no more bidding on that player. E.g. I have a 3 bid on 10men, but i can no longer bid on him as he accepted fire's 14bid. So counting only the players who are still open (no accepted 14 bid) the maximum number of 14-bids each Gen can make are listed below (first number is the #players where bids were already placed, then +unused bids):

Jenk: 4
Odii: 4+4
rob: 6
Black: 6+3
Cal: 3+4
ITR: 6+4
Laxa: 7
Marsu: 4+7
Zso: 7
Oa: 3+1
dd: 6

Total: 79, so the theoretical maximum is 79 more days

I know, this decision should have been taken right after the subscriptions closed (as it happened in War 6), but by then nobody was thinking THIS was going to happen.
