Not sure where to post but I just wanted to put an idea for future auctions out there.
As it stands I have used all 21 bids and am winning maybe 13 or something. I only have 7 slots so that means 6 players I bid on will not be able to play. It is through no fault of their own they ended up in this position. Because other generals might out bid my choice players I gave myself a large safety net of 1 card bid players to fall back on.
This sucks for them and if i end up having 1 free slot to distribute amongst 6 would be players there is no fair way to do it.
With this in mind, I was thinking I would prefer an auction where players did not feel like they were unfairly left off a team they received a bid on.
I would propose a system like this:
-Generals may only have 7 winning bids at any one time
-If one of the General's winning bids is lost, they may upbid that player or choose a new player to bid on.
-There isn't limit to the number of different players that may be bid on as long as generals only have 7 winning bids at any one time.
What this would mean is that if you got a bid you are in guaranteed a spot on some team in the War
This would also eliminate troll bidding which is the reason I bid the way I did - and hell I even made bids just hoping to raise the cost of some players. The system is not great currently.
Any thoughts on the 7 winning bids only system?
