Sonic breaks the Barrier! [PvP2][T50] https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=26618.msg338337#msg338337

Sonic breaks the Barrier!

Inspired by GotP time I tried to design a GotP-lite-30-Cards-FG farmer, but I failed miserably.  :-\
In brief,  this deck is NOT a FG farm deck!
Good news: This deck performes VERY well in PvP2 and T50... to cut the matter short it´s a Beast!

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rn 6rn 7n2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7q8 7q8 7qb 7qe 7qe 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 80d 80d 80i 80k 8pu

Main strategy is to rush trough your deck quickly and play all Towers, then silence > fractal > dead opponent.
Phase Shields/SoG for stall, Eternity to lock down your foe.
Just draw everything until you reach the deck-out limit or you´re able to close it up.
Then play GotP -> SILENCE -> fractal GotP -> rewind 1 GotP > Win.

Silence is the main card in this deck because your opponent won´t be able to play a shield or something to counteract.
In other words: Playing 4 GotP after a Silence = 4 GotP + (4 GotP + additional GotP on your next turn) = overkill.
Sometimes it isn´t even neccessary to rifle through your deck, cause the enemy is Eternity-locked or your 2TK-combo is allready ready for takeoff.
Playing this deck needs some warm-up though, to spot the right point to pull the trigger.

Have fun :)

This deck is 97% the same as a deck TII used to win a tournament with (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,22973.msg314568#msg314568). Does it really deserve a thread?
Somehow still around, somewhat

I used the search function and didnt found this deck.
It looks very similar to mine except for the Silence.
And yea... wow thats my deck in all details exept Silence.  :))
Might 1 card change it all?

Not everyone plays tourneys, and it is in the archives.
You don't just open the archives looking for inspiration, but you do sometimes open this section of the forum

Really, Seraph? Tourney winning decks are far stronger than a half thought-out deck that hasn't been tested. I always look at the tourney-winning decks, and only look at others if they are made by a good player or if I'm bored.

I just find it a little strange that the original post used 97% of the same deck and also followed very constricting deckbuilding rules that usually weaken a deck. I'm not trying to say that he stole the deck, but I think that having almost the exact same deck, even though there are no longer deckbuilding constrictions, is suspicious.

Then move on.  Instead of commenting on how the decks are similar, right now efforts would be better spent on finding ways to improve on the deck in its current state or to testify as to whether or not it does work.  It has been acknowledged that TII has used this concept beforehand, but now a thread built on discussing the deck in greater detail has been created.  Benefit from it as you wish.

considering I claimed this type of deck to be my KOTH deck, I will give you tips
no deck restrictions means that 2 phase shields is not enough, at least 3 or 4...
using silence is interesting, but in my experience, just fractal the ghost when it will kill is plenty to avoid shielding...

If at all possible, could you recommend an un-upped version of this deck? I have the SoG's, just need to figure out what order I should be upping which items in. I like the layout of this deck. Thank you!
