What will you nightmare? Or does it not matter, and you're just putting it in for damage? The heal aspect of Nightmare will deny you EM's if you have an SoS out.

If it's just for damage, you'd be better off with another sword or something. (Vampire Dagger, perhaps? It conflicts with SoS but gives you longer stall before you play one, so it won't be useless if you draw it early.)

it is only necesary for the final hit and since it is the cheapest and on mark elements it seems like the best option

Nightmare is there because some False Gods utilize shields which block physical damage completely, for example, Bone Wall (Morte, Incarnate), Dissipation Field (Chaos Lord), and Phase Shield (Gemini).
On the other hand, Long Sword is there because some False Gods chain Cloaks (Jezebel, Serket) or control no targetable creatures (Divine Glory, possibly Lionheart).

By the way, if you took enemy's HP down enough to finish him with Nightmare, then you could just wait until the effect of Shard of Sacrifice wears off.

There's actually nothing wrong with SoG and SoSac. If the opponent's does less damage than you have SoGs to heal, you don't need SoSac. If your opponent is outdamaging your SoGs, then SoSac will still be a 2-turn dimensional shield (with some healing)

ya i agree.... i should have read this thread before trying out both sog and sos..... i have 6 SoG out and at the i thought i will try SoS for fun.... i am using life mark at that time.... 70hp gone and got healed for 10 hp only....  then another 30hp gone.... almost lost had not i use SoD earlier..... the card should have mention any damage will be received as healing and any healing will be received as damage...

interesting deck by the way.... i will try it out.....

O-yeah!  I think SoD's and SoSa's work better together than SoSa's and SoG's.
it seems logical in more situations that SoSa has better synergy with SoD than SoG. But maybe that's a good, in that in PvP it'll help to switch things up against (these shard pair's synergy are  def. situational) decks that do fast small damage, or a bit slower big damage.

 Guys, seriously, if this thing with broken, overpowered rare cards keeps going, then there would be no meaning in keep playing this game... Where are the old good days of mono-decks with common cards in them? :(
