Even an non-upgraded Golden Hourglass version is excellent against AI3. For that version, trade in the shards for a Reverse Time and a Procrastination.
I have two Eternity, and use both so I have a backup, but also to increase the odds I'll open with one or draw it in the first couple of turns. I use Eternity and Reverse Time to stunt the opponent's deck. If the same creature is drawn turn after turn, they don't get to see any new cards. I reverse the more dangerous creatures first, leaving a 0 power one on top, if I can. In the meantime, I'm getting extra cards via hourglasses. Soon I have enough quanta to continue reversing the creature while playing my dragons. If I'm in danger of getting decked, I can reverse and resummon a dragon each turn, because by then I have all my quanta out. Quanta sources are split between pillars and pendulums to make it a little more Earthquake-resistant.
For AI5 and FG, I'll need a lot more upgrades. Against T50, I can win about half the time, since stunting their draws can be similar to getting a rush, but Steal and Deflagration are common.
