Fast Food Deck https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2700.msg22178#msg22178

Disclaimer: This deck is a fun deck, it's not meant to hunt false gods, neither is it easy to get, as it contains 6 shards.

After trying a trio deck to combine twin universe, anubis, and scarabs (to get 12 immortal scarabs eating everything) I'm up to something new. I call it:

"Fast Food"

I was wondering if rewinded deja vus could be used to create infinite units, and shortly after it occured to me that infinite creatures can be eaten by scarabs. When maxed out, this deck grows 2 points in dmg per round for 11 time and 2 grav mana (very little indeed) but it maxes out much faster than my first scarab deck. My most expensive creature costs 2 time.

-6 scarabs for maximum bug health.
-6 deja vus to have at least some of them survive; also keeps the opponent busy.
-11 time towers/machines to create 2 deja vus per turn (2x rewind, 2x play a deja vu, 2x activate deja vu skill, 1x hourglass = 11 time).
-2 eternities and 1 flying weapon are eneded for that.
-Mark of gravity + 1 grav tower to eat said two deja vus. I tried playing without grav towers, or with two. Both didn't work out as well for me.
-3 hourglasses; should be the optimum number.
-1 procrastination shield (works wonders).
-6 shards of gratitude, because with 6 shards everything works. :P

I guess this is alright- but can a mod move this to duo decks?

It seems like your clashing two ideas here in my opinion.  Either go for a scarab deck or a deja vu deck, since including both adds 6 cards to a deck I assume you want streamlined.

Anyways, it looks good, did you try a fully upgraded version in the trainer before this?

Is there a definition for mono and duo decks? I couldn't find one. If this is duo, sorry for posting it in the wrong section.  :-[

There is a reason why I combined beetles and deja vu, each card alone won't work as well. I'm basically replacing graveyard or fire queen with deja vu as a source of creatures, with the advantage of using only time quanta for it.

This is technically a mono-deck by some definitions, but not by others. I would consider it one, since you're using only one element to play your spells (or two, I guess, if the Animate Weapon decides to take from :gravity instead of :time). However, others would define this as a duo- (or even a trio-) deck, because you are using :gravity and there is an :air card, though it doesn't have an :air cost.

Oh my. :)

My main intention was to keep the deck as time based as possible without making it a pure no-spells-just-dragons deck.

By the currently accepted definition (as per the "define a mono-deck" thread), this is a mono-deck.  All casting costs that require a specific element require the same element: :time.  That's what makes a mono-deck.

I say kudos to you for putting together an inventive deck!   8)

The infinite food supply is wonderful.  A bit too cerebral for me, remembering to reverse some and eat others--I'm a clickety-click kinda player.

Also,  I suppose something like fireshield would totally rain on this parade, or at least force you to use upgraded deja-vus.  How does it handle decks which play an otyugh early?

As long as the oty is not immortal, I can allways rewind it. ;)

And for the deja vus: As long as I have 1 left, I can rewind, replay, double and rewind it and start my farm all over again. And yes, things like firestorm can greatly reduce my units.

I have an example vid of how I had to deal with an otyugh, a firestorm and a stolen weapon. It's played vs. the top 50 ai.  Enjoy:

Thanks for the link.  Luckily the firestorm came late in the game!

Still, the deck seems to handle well overall.  Definitely need 2 Eternities (at least) to combat the steal/destroy scenario.  I suppose any deck has a fighting chance to win with 6 SoGs in place!  LOL

Hey, happy you liked it. :)

I'm not sure about the firestorm. As long as my scarabs survive it, later means that it kills more deja vus. If it came early, it might just kill a few of them and my lategame would not have been affected at all.
