This deck to me seemed somewhat of a standard mono-water deck but it is incredibly effective in pvp, it of course does have it flaws as all decks but it generally works wonders.

id suggest saving shards for use later in battle, also it can be a very good idea to save up ur ice lances to make one final ending battle blast depening on the opponents deck, that works well vs phase shields or hope. If not though congeals and lances are great for creature control especially well for ending a lava destroyers day before it even gets out of bed :)

Intresting concept.. wait.. no.. ?

I see the abyss is your main attacker. with decent atk power and def.
I see two artric octopusses, ready to freeze creatures in your path.
I see a ton of ice lances.. ofr creature controll.. and stuff o_O
But wont you ever go low on mana?
It just hit me.. But i like the heavy hitter water concept :o
You dont see them that much!!

Its a survivor aswell.. with all the SODs, your really are resiistent to many attackers, and those freezes helps you out if the SODs dont work properly.
OHoh! And its also reistence to swarm decks because of the shield, if you get it early that is!
I like this deck, its ready to resist many decks, and make many people swear in the prosses !

Iv tried with SoG but since theres no perm control it was lame getting them stolen VERY often.. plus sods are fun when u appear ur dead but all of a sudden bust out 60 life :) they have saved me alot... and the reason as for so

as far as low mana eh.. generally its not a problem..(not gonna lie though i HAVE run into it as a problem in some games) the deck can run very efficently with very small amounts of mana though as theres not many things that cost alot.. unless ur having to use ur octopus alot(which usually isnt the case cuz congeals n lances r cheaper).. generally they scare the opponent from playing a creature anywho though.. it seems u can have a few crawlers out early with congeals or lances to ensure ur not getting hit.. the strange thing iv found about this deck is iv actually won quite a few battles by being forced to save mana up for an all out ice lance blast at the end... i truely love those f'in lances..

all in all iv had an extreme amount of fun with this deck. It also seems to be very versitile.. although of course it does have its faults
