Amazing concept, Jmdt! As soon as I can get these cards upgraded (see you in a month), this would be one of my favorite PvP decks.

Glad you, as a water aficionado, like it Guolin.

Question for you guys.  How much are the 2 perm shields needed?  Part of me says they are not needed, but they are also the only way to stop quinted creature.

Permafrost is always a welcome addition, jmdt, but if you don't want to use it, you could always change marks and sub it out for Explosion/Quint/Steal/etc.

Permafrost is a lifesaver. If you already have one out, just keep the other one in your hand.

Hmm... Thats a whole lotta 'pus in that deck.  :o A lot of pus is generally a good thing  ;) , but perhaps, seeing as how you have all those nice shards handy, a flying trident or two or three could be an interesting mod... just sayin

Interesting concept, whenever I think of octopi, I think of them combined with trident and earth critters for damage + complete lockdown, but this looks sweet.  If I had the nerve to upgrade water pillars I would definitely make this (working on gravity pillars right now  ???)

I gave tridents a try, but I find the Octapii work much better without them.  Tridents are relatively slow cards.

Really nice deck!

This is the deck I use to play:

Code: [Select]
6rn 6rn 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 7dm 7dm 7dm 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gr 7gr 7gr 7gr 7gr 7h2 7h2 7h2 7h2
So its basically the same deck except:  - 2 Permafrost Shield
                                                              - 1 Artic Octopus
                                                              + 3 Explosions
                                                              and fire mark...

I dont think this deck really need Permafrost shield... If you manage to play an early ready-octopus, then permafrost shields and tons of octopii are near dead cards.
I prefer mark of fire + explosion to deal with annoying permanent...especially eternity and gravity shield...
Plus, fire mark allow you to play your Steam Machine without SoR.

Maybe unupgraded Steam Machine is better because it cost less mana and my mark is not water. 8 in defense is still good... I should give a try...

^Hm, not a bad idea, but seems to me like using that variation of the deck, +2 permafrost and -2 octopus would be better. octopus is very prone to being CCed, and is not very good with dealing with rushes especially early on. (congeal is not a cheap ability either, although that problem may be lessened by SoR on one octopus)
