Mitosis/SoR/Dragon Rush https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=22830.msg289386#msg289386

EDIT: This should be moved to mono-life; I am dumb. Sorry :(

As usual, I find myself coming up with interesting deck ideas but completely lacking the capability to balance them. Take a look:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ad 7af 7af 7af 7af 7ak 7ak 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 8pn

(The ???s are Mitosis)

Basically, the idea is to rush to a Jade Dragon (that's what the Leaf Dragons/light quanta is there for), hit it with Mitosis and then a Shard of Readiness. Then pop out more dragons for free and repeat the Mitosis/Shard of Readiness combo.

Yes, it's a 3 card combo. Yes, it's vulnerable to creature control. The idea is to get it moving faster/more reliably though, so you can overwhelm your opponent with dragons before they can lock you down. I've seen something similar done with other life rush decks, but I figured why not get the most bang possible out of the Shard of Readiness.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This may just be better off as a mono-life, I'll test it more tomorrow. However, Phase Shields are still a bit of a problololololbem .

To get out the dragons/Mitosis in the first place, plus rustlers/Leaf Dragons are highly vulnerable to CC so the deck could still work without the rustler but just not as quick.
lava golems are the best creatures in the game cause I said so

If speed is what you're after, I would drop the Leaf Dragons altogether and replace them with more Towers and Pends.  Consider this:  Scenario (1) You draw and play a Leaf Dragon first turn.  Second turn, you are able to start generating 2 :life quanta per turn due to converting your :light quanta.  Third and fourth turns, you draw and play a Leaf Dragon each turn.  You have now spent two :life quanta, yet are not generating any additional benefit from playing the creatures other than the minor amount of damage dealt, of course.  Scenario (2)  You instead play a Tower (or Pendulum) whenever you would have played a Leaf Dragon in Scenario 1.  As a result of this, you are now out 7 total damage (assuming no shield on the part of your opponent), but are +10 in :life quanta generation after only four turns.

Scenario 1
Turn 1) Play Leaf Dragon (-1 life), get quanta from mark (+1 light)
Turn 2) Convert light to life (-1 light, +2 life.  +2 aggregate)
Turn 3) Play Leaf Dragon, convert light to life (-1 light, +2 life, -1 life for playing Leaf Dragon.  +3 aggregate)
Turn 4) Play Leaf Dragon, convert light to life (-1 light, +2 life, -1 life for playing Leaf Dragon.  +4 aggregate)

Scenartio 2
Turn 1) Play Emerald Tower, get quanta from mark (+3 life)
Turn 2) Generate quanta from Towers, get quanta from mark (+2 life, +5 aggregate)
Turn 3) Play Emerald Tower, get quanta from mark, generate quanta from towers (+4 life, +9 aggregate)
Turn 4) Play Emerald Tower, get quanta from mark, generate quanta from towers (+5 life, +14 aggregate)

Keep in mind, this is only for the first 4 turns and describes only the difference should Leaf Dragons be replaced with Towers and the mark be changed to Life.  Number of towers played independent from those substituted for Leaf Dragons are held constant in both scenarios, and are thus not included in the calculations.  Obviously, this is only one scenario, and there are a myriad of others to take into account.
When you are depending on quick quanta in order to get a driving combo out, especially within a mono deck, you will always be benefitted by generating as much quanta as quickly as possible.

Firstly, thanks for the analysis Mithcairion- it was in depth and appreciated. Secondly- yeah, I agree with you. If you notice the screenshot I edited into the OP, I started testing the deck out as mono-life and it worked a lot better with the leaf dragons replaced with heals/emerald towers. Perm control is still a problem though. I may splash in some fire pendulums for deflag and light CC- also, you can rage potion the dragons I suppose...

I'll try and see if I can rework this to have some synergy with fire's utility without giving up too much speed.
