Had a nice winning streak with only this deck, then was defeated amid lot of disconnects and one illegal game by me (doh) that resulted in a autoloss, but I really enjoyed using this deck in a tourny so here it is before I sleep. Tournament rules were :aether :darkness :death :entropy :fire :gravity and no shields.
Idea is simple, good ol' fire stall with massive CC (since I can't use fire shield due to rules). Lance any individual big threats and fire storm a whole lot of small hp creatures, blocking every attempt by your opponent to rush you. Mirror matches (which happned a lot as I predicted) are easy peasy, just steal one fahrenheit (and your opponent will be too scared to play another), and fractal decks are easily dealt with by fire storming (most likely twice) a whole bunch of creatures, crippling them.

It's Fire stall with some PC, you should've taken explosions IMO

The advantage of Steals is that you can steal SoGs and weapons, especially in mirror matches, to counter them being destroyed by your opponent, because not only are you removing it from their field, but adding it to your own so that they are forced to waste another Explosion. Also, I really like this deck, but I fear that the Mark because rather useless later in the game.

Hey thanks, that means quite a bit coming from a guy who basically popularized fire stall.  :)
Excess darkness quanta was a worry for me also, but this deck usually had the opponent pinned by at least midgame, and SoGs were always happy to take from dark quanta and soften that problem.

As Jellyfish pointed out, steal is a deceptively good choice in a fire stall, and probably even better in this tournament, because there are so many good things to steal (fahrenheit, SoG, or even fire towers) that help you as well as hurt your opponent. What surprised me the most about the deck though, is the fact that loss of fire buckler did not affect the deck in any significant way, and FS actually did the job better in many situations. The biggest problem with stalling buckler + SoG is the fact that buckler does not reduce any damage, and is completely incapable or killing growth creatures once they are grown even once, but FS trashes all rush/fractal creatures like there is no tommorow.

I'm finding, more often than not, that although RE is a good choice for Fire Stall decks, FS just seems to do it better. With so many rush decks out there, being able to lay waste to my opponent's field over and over and over again gives me much better control. Perhaps swapping the Bucklers and REs for more FS is a good choice. I'll look into it (I only have two upgraded FS and about 400 electrum...darn FGs keep killing me AND my money).

I would say that Fire Buckler still has a place in fire stalls, although I can't say the same for RE. RE does compliment FB pretty well though, since it can take care of some growth creatures that FB can't kill. I've been running this deck with 1 buckler, and it is doing very well in pvp2.
