Eternal Dragon (Mono-Aether Anti-False God Deck) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=32831.msg414596#msg414596
« on: October 23, 2011, 03:24:45 am »
To start out this deck was not based on Polari's "Upped Mono-Aether FG grinder" which you can find in if you follow the link below
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,23368.msg317959#msg317959
but Polari's SOS version of his deck has a very similar set-up and the closest I could find so credit to him since he posted it first.

*the 6 blank cards are Shards of Sacrifice*

This deck is so named because utilizes Elite Phase Dragons, Shards of Sacrifice and Phase Shields. While you use the shards and shields to render all attacks ineffective (though phase shields only stop melee damage) while using Elite Phase Dragons, electrocutors, and copied creatures. Due to the recent changes to the AI's Intelligence and SOSs increase in the amount of health sacrificed (from 32 to 40 for Upped and 40 to 48 for unupped), The AI is no longer dumb enough to use damage spells and creature spamming while the SOS is active. Also casting more than one SOS adds more turns to heal (You can only summon 2 at a time if your health is above 80HP (it use to be 3 at a time until changes were made). By doing that, you can then accumulate more Aether quantum that will be needed to summon your dragons. Electrocutor is needed in this deck to get rid of abilities that could easily undermine this deck (especially momentum), so if you know the AI can’t destroy your items then getting Electrocutor on the field should be first priority as long as you have it in your hand. The key factor for this deck is total protection against all melee damaged for up to 30 turns. Statistics on the False Gods are found below, a False God Strategy Guide for this deck will be added in the future.

Win with possible Elemental Master

Gemini, Scorpio, Dark Matter, Akebono, Divine Glory, Serket, Miracle, Morte, Hecate, Lionheart, Osiris, Obliterator, Incarnate, Chaos Lord, Destiny, Paradox, Fire Queen, Eternal Phoenix, Seism, Hermes, Dream Catcher, Neptune, Elidris

Difficulties

Obliterator, Chaos Lord, Fire Queen, Eternal Phoenix, Seism, Hermes, Scorpio, Hecate, Divine Glory, Dream Catcher, Elidris

The Current Impossibilities

Ferox (Feral Bonds)
Rainbow
Octane Was one of the easiest FGs for this deck until changes were made after Halloween now the AI won’t blindly use Unstable Gas’s ability while the SOS is active :(.
Graviton (because of Gravity Shield),
Decay (just have to few quantum to deal with this deck effectively

100 Match Trials of the False Gods

3. Destiny-Won EM

4. Lionheart- Won EM Awards: 1 Turtle Shield

5. Neptune- Won 7-0 (AI had a horrible hand only was able to summon 4 Arctic Octopus and a Eagle Eye so my SOSs were useless {never had that happen before with Neptune})

7. Serket Won 83-0

8. Neptune Won EM / Awards 1 inundation

17. Ferox Lost 100-200 (decked out)

18. Decay Lost  0-112 (Why didn’t the AI draw Eclipse?)

19. Jezebel Lost 0-118 (too little damage for my SOSs and stole all of my PS away made for an impossible match

20. Octane Lost 0-160 (Unstable Gas, the new evil to this deck)

21. Morning Glory Lost 0-70 (almost had him but the Deflagrations just came too early)

22. Dark Matter Won EM / Awards: 1 Relic

23. Fire Queen Won 96-0 (sooo close to getting EM) / Awards: 2 Elite Queens

24. Neptune Won 56-0 (doing too much damage and ended up defeating Neptune before I could use a SOS it did not help that he had a bad hand again but not too bad)

25. Dark Matter Won EM

26. Fire Queen Lost 100-200 (decked-out)

27. Chaos Lord Lost 0-200 (Wow 5 turns! curse the early Discord)

28. Neptune Won EM

29. Dark Matter Won EM

30. Hecate Won 74-0 (just needed 1 more turn and I would have had elemental master.)

31. Elidris Lost 100-175 (decked-out)

32. Jezebel Won EM / Awards: 1 Improved Steal

33. Paradox Won EM / Awards: 1 Improved Blessing

34. Miracle Lost 0-199 (I was gimped of Shields BIG TIME otherwise I would have won with EM)

35. Fire Queen Lost 100-200 (where was my Electrocutor!?!)

36. Neptune Won 59-0 (just needed 3 more turns to get EM)

37. Hecate Lost 0-164 (Ouch!)

38. Scorpio Won 85-0 (almost had my SOS wore off just before my last turn so I had to take 15 poison damage)

39. Seism Won EM

40. Ferox Lost 100-200 (Ferox is impossible to face with this current deck)

41. Eternal Phoenix Won EM / Awards: 1 Minor Phoenix

42. Destiny Won 37-0 (did not had a PS until 6 turns later so I had to use 2 SOS to allow me to draw but I ended up being just short of 40 but luckily I drew a phase shield and won the match)

43. Osiris Won EM / Awards: 1 Rewind

44. Seism Lost 100-87 (deck-out, he got lucky with drawing Quicksand after Quicksand after etc…)

45. Gemini Lost 0-172 (where are my SOSs and PSs!!??!!)

46. Morte Win 2-0 (had a bad draw with PSs but managed just to hang on by 2 health the next turn I would have been dead with 13 poison counters on me)

47. Serket Win EM

48. Graviton Lost 0-148 (was looking good until Graviton drew a deflagration and then Gravity Shield)

11/9/11

49. Dream Catcher Won 54-0 (able to lobotomize the butterfly effect and it never was able to summon it again which made for an almost easy victory). / Awards: 1 Relic

50. Jezebel Lost 0-37 (almost had her but due that most of my attackers were probably at the bottom did not allow me to do enough damage to kill her before got me.)

51. Obliterator Lost 0-110 (got a pulverizor before I could do much of anything which my shields became useless and I had no electrocutor).

52. Gemini Won EM

53. Jezebel Lost 0-200 (stole all of my shields I had in my hand and my electrocutor during the first few turns and had Air Nymphs and Light nymphs so he had healing and 5 unstable gases ready to explode when my SOS wears off)

54. Graviton Lost 0-134 (though I lost this battle I found a way to beat him with this deck but you will need at least 2 SOSs and 2 Parallel Universes then get a electrocutor as soon as possible. So PU one of his Graviton Firemasters that has Momentum and is about 11+ attack and then lobotomize it so it can no longer attack you. This would eliminate the Gravity Shield problem but it is still a long stretch.)

55. Akebono Won 94-0 (just barely missed the hundred mark but I loved having 2 copies of its Massive Dragon with Momentum in Overdrive. Made for a quick match and glad it was because I had no PSs or SOSs in my hand before I finished it)

56. Miracle Won EM

57. Osiris Won 23-0 (almost died because I never drew an Electroutor.)

58. Morning Glory Lost 0-160 (it started off with both light and fire towers the rest is self explanatory)

59. Scorpio Won 7-0 (7 is my lucky number today I guess cause I kept drawing Shards of Sacrifice and Elite Phase Dragons (though no Electrocutor until later in the game) and I managed to stall the damage just enough that I had 31 poison counters and he wasted his Ice bolt on a PUed Puffer Fish allowing me to win next turn with just 7 life)

60. Hermes Won EM (Talk about perfect timing with the PS, SOSs, and Elite Phase Dragons) Awards: 1 Fire Spectre

61. Incarnate Won EM

62. Hecate Won 16-0 (thank you PSs and thank you AI for giving me a 20/3 Voodoo Doll)

63. Osiris Lost 0-180 (3 Catapults out no SOSs or Electrocutors in hand until I ended up killing myself with a belated  draw of a SOS because I was dead next turn, just rotten luck)

64. Miracle Won EM (Won on my last card)

65. Jezebel Lost 0-200 (this match was impossible after the third turn)

66. Neptune Won EM / Awards: 1 Arctic Octopus

67. Decay Lost 0-130 (Got 1 dragon out and that was it)

68. Divine Glory Lost 0-149 (curses the AI happened to have a miracle in its hand)

11/10/11

69. Gemini Lost 0-113 (Where were my Electrocutors!!!!???)

70. Akebono Won EM

71. Neptune Lost 0-45 (Where were my PSs!?!)

72. Gemini Won EM

73. Lionheart Won EM

74. Scorpio Won EM

75. Miracle Won EM

76. Paradox Won EM / Awards: 1 Improved Blessing

77. Destiny Won EM / Awards: 1 Chaos Power and 1 Supernova

78. Dark Matter Won 54-0 (the AI did not have enough creatures to make my SOSs really effective) / Awards: 1 Archangel

79. Chaos Lord Lost 0-35 (All was going well until the AI drew Dissipation Shield)

80. Neptune Won EM

11/11/11

81. Gemini Won 92-0 (just a last minute momentum prevented me from getting EM here) Awards: 1 Momentum

82. Gemini Lost 0-125 (PSs prevented me from dwindling his life and he managed to do his Momentum + Twin Universe combo which finished me since he got my life below 40HP)

83. Hermes Won EM / Awards: 1 Brimstone Eater

84. Rainbow Lost 0-60 (the AI hasn’t used a miracle but if it had not destroyed my shield I might have won)

85. Fire Queen Lost 100-200 (I was Electrocutor screwed)

86. Destiny Won EM

87. Akebono Won 92-0 (Titan prevented me from getting EM because my SOS did not appear until 3 turns after summoned a PS which was the last turn anyways)

88. Serket Won EM

89. Paradox Won EM

90. Serket Won 52-0 (Never drew a single SOS but I did end up having 5 PSs and using 4 of them) / Awards: 1 Deathstalker

91. Gemini Lost 0-165 (no Electrocutors and no SOSs made for a very match for the AI)

92. Ferox Lost 100-200 (decked-out)

93. Eternal Phoenix lost 0-90 (AI had to few creatures out to make SOS work efficiently)

94. Lionheart Won EM / Awards: 1 Crusader

11/12/11

95. Dark Matter Lost 0-160 (he did not have enough creatures to do enough damage for me to use SOS and with Titan out made things even more difficult)

96. Decay Lost 0-200 (could not even get my dragons out)

97. Seism Won EM

98. Paradox Won EM / Awards: 1 Electrum Hourglass

99. Elidris Lost 100-200 (Decked-out)

100. Gemini Won 76-0 (just one more turn and I would have had EM)

Discussion

Do to the recent changes I believe the wins % have fallen for this deck by about 10% :(. More decks have become increasingly difficult such as Osiris, Hermes, Hecate, Morte, Jezebel, Eternal Phoenix, Seism, Scorpio, and especially Octane which went from easy to impossible because the AI no longer activates. I would have loved to have done a 100 FG battles while the SOS still had a 32 Health penalty just to see if there was such a significant drop in percentage of winnings of at least 7% or more. But for right now I will have to wait and see what happens with the SOS hopefully they at least leave it the way its now and not gimp it anymore (though it was a broken card before).

More information and strategies will be edited and organized a bit better as soon as I get more time and experiment further with this deck but I wanted to post this deck before someone else did until I saw the SOS spoiler in Polari's post but I will clarify on the following day Trainer was updated I made this deck so I don't know if he made it or the concept was already developed before I created my Eternal Dragon but know that I made Eternal Dragon before his post even though I have no evidence to prove this.

A lot of decks coming out with new versions because of that overpowered Sosa..
One thing about your 'fg breakdown'. Instead of saying the usual 'easy, medium, hard, impossible to win', you categorized the gods by 'possible, difficult, impossible EM'. If I really card about the 60 extra or so electrums that I get from the FG, it would be much better of to play in the arena, where you can easily get 100 electrum per win. All people want to know is whether it is possible to win enough to win upped cards at a good rate (although EM would be nice).

Also looking forward to stats though  ;)

This deck sounds like a fun way to annoy anyone you battle  :)) I would be a little nervous against strong poison decks though!

The reason is because its a pain to sometimes play Phase Dragon because of its 14 :aether cost when you can copy a bigger creature with more half the cost of the Phase Dragon, also it is used against false gods like Hermes, Akebono, Miracle, Paradox, Serket, Rainbow, Elidris, Graviton, Hecate, Morte, and Obliterator where you need to copy big creatures to either speed things along to win the match. I tested this deck with x6 Phase Dragons and it actually seem to not fair as well as this version of Eternal Dragon not to mention that Miracle, Rainbow, Elidris, Akebono, Hermes becomes increasingly difficult and (for some of them) impossible.

I figured this was bound to happen as soon as I saw someone mention in the new shard discussion thread that this would act like a dim shield. However, due to the relative "newness" of Sosa compared to some of the other shards most people don't have this many copies. So thankfully we hopefully shouldn't need to deal with this in Pvp quite yet. It's very annoying to face in Trainer. I used my usual Pvp decks to avoid cheating and building a specific counter to it, and found they failed often enough that I would be frustrated seeing this pop up everywhere.

I just hope they ban shards in general for PvP ;)

Definitely not, PvP2 is a decent place to get shards from spins. Especially if you don't feel like grinding the arena for rarespins it's one of the few ways to get them.
