Why do so many decks, especially Bronze, have only 1hp?  I mean, I'm not complaining because it's really easy to make electrum this way, but it seems messed up.

Decks in arena lose HP exponecially at the time passes
EX:
day 1: 2^1 hp
day 2: 2^2
.
.
.
day 7: 2^7 = -128
But the decks hp cant reach 0, so they keep with 1.

Hmm.. but are decks ever removed?  Won't the arena just get more and more cluttered with 1hp decks over time?

They'll be taken down when the player making the deck makes a new arena deck. But some people just quit and occasionally their old decks resurface from time to time when we kick the asses of decks above them

Only the top 500 decks are in. They're out once their rank is too low. But some people don't care, and leave their decks for too much time. You can't do anything.
It's better, take advantage of it.

There are 500 active decks in each arena league at any given time.  A deck is removed when its rank drops belong 500.  However, due to the age of the game and the very low income of new players, there are less than 500 accounts actively making decks in bronze league.  As a result, many decks will remain almost indefinitely, at 1 hp.

1HP decks are so uncommon in the upper leagues, Gold and Platinum, because that's where most of the current player base is. There are more than 500 players actively submitting decks, so once a deck hits 7-8 days old, it loses rating very quickly, and becomes inactive.

Unfortunately, Bronze and Silver don't have that luxury - there are less than 500 players actively submitting decks, so even when decks hit 1HP and lose rating, they don't get eliminated, and instead sit in the rank 350-500 range. This is why you run into so many of them - you've got a ~150/500 = 30% chance of finding a 1HP deck.

I'd imagine that the graveyard of 1 HP Bronze decks is also largely due to the fact that a good number of people on Kongregate simply play to earn badges and then leave to hunt other badges after that's accomplished. Aside from the 500 score quest there really isn't any reason for most of them to accumulate enough score to reach Silver League, especially considering if they continually match against False Gods until their deck with minimal upgrades manages to have a favorable matchup and win.
