Unrepeatable, random mindgate that doesn't copy but steals.

Seems pretty cool.

This is a bye-bye-OTK card.

But no one uses OTKs! Oh, wait...

Being serious, I can't think many strategies that uses this card, excelt rainbows with SoSe and funny stuff. Humm aren't them the 50% of Gold + Plat decks? crap, nice card.

It's a stupid card through and through but it doesn't half sound fun!
Question though: does the card go to my deck or to my hand?

I don't think this card is stupid at all, it is a splendid idea that needs some tweaking.
As it now stands, for the cost I would say 2 :entropy|1 :entropy at most.
It is slightly better than one use of Mindgate and comparable to a fraction of a SoSe.

Edit: Actually the name and the pic are stupid, but those shouldn't be relevant when proposing ideas, methinks.

I'd totally use this card; I love this kind of stuff.  Cards that let you use things your opponent has can make for some very interesting game scenarios that don't usually occur otherwise.  In addition to taking a potentially useful card (or a win condition) from your opponent, it would also make their deck one card smaller, which means you might win by deckout.  It also doesn't have the vulnerability to PC that mindgate does, and isn't a rare like SoSe, so newbies can also make use of it.

Indeed. The inderect deck depletion would be a nice addition to the game.
To clarify, by "stupid", I don't mean badly thought through or anything, I simply mean it's the kind of wacky effect that is unpredictable, uncontrollable and nigh unusable. Nobody in their right mind would use this for anything but deck depletion.
I'm crazy though, I would.

I second that.  I've always loved mechanics that annoy and harass, more than just dealing/preventing damage.

yeah probably right, given the fairly high chance you will just grab a pillar.

deck depletion is what i was going for, i put it in entropy and made it kooky.  i also made a time card recently (ghost of the future) that is more traditional deck depletion.

In any rainbow. Funny SoSe + fate eggs and stuff are not the only candidates to use this. It's powerfull, but I think it can be better as an expensive permanent.

This should never be a Permanent IMO. This effect repeatably would be like Eternity for deck depletion strategies but with the opponent recieving the drawback, not you. As a card limited to 6 uses, it seems fair, even at a low cost.

^This.  Also, that would make it one step closer to mindgate imo.

Also, I just realized, this card is pretty similar to a creature in the forge...not sure if that matters or not, but take a look anyway: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,35704.0.html

hmmm doesn't matter too much as this is a spell and thats a creature of two different elements.  unlike another card i made recently which was almost identical except for the element to a card that got archived in the crucible recently.

This + mindgate would be very fun as well... or maybe a trio with the steal card:

5 PU, 5 MG, 5 Steal, 5 Yoink! Might end up playing opponents deck better than they do...
Steal all their cards right out from under them and copy anything you cant steal.

Could power it off of dark pend and quantum pillars w/ aether mark. (with a cost of 1 :entropy for yoink, Quantum pend. should give an ample supply, so only dark and aether need extra quanta)

For that matter, arena decks w/ double draw could ditch aether altogether and just use 6 Steal + 6 Yoink... Stealing 12 cards is more than 1/3 of most decks... Add in steal and that gives 24 stolen cards = win by thievery.

Would make for a pretty cool FG.  Dark Mirror or somesuch.

For stealing a random card, I think the price should be higher. Possibly 4 :entropy | 3 :entropy ?

its a random card from the deck though, you are generally more likely to get a pillar, or maybe something else useless.

^ Pillars are great! I'd like to see you play a mindgate deck if you never copied some pillars.

well when i make a mindgate deck i usually use quantum pillars so getting a pillar is worse than getting something else.

its a random card from the deck... sure it might take the card you need for the OTK but its a fairly low chance.

Definitely a good idea to add to the game. There should be cards that mess with the deck as there is so much potential here. Count my vote for incorporating this card in the game!

If this card is kept until late game the chances of it stopping a OTK are escalated as the opponent is searching for one card in a small number of cards left inn there deck.
