This card lacks the crippling weakness to RT that Animate has. Also, Other cards tend to be more expensive, quanta-wise, than elemental cards - or similar in cost but crappier.

I'd make it cost 3|2, but I think it's a cool idea. Especially for unupgraded monos/duos that want to play with the Multiple Weapon decktype but not use air quanta.

eternity+eternity

pulverizer+eagle eye

electrocutor+poseidon

Combos with eternity are far the more powerful.
However the effect is quite similar to fly weapon.Maybe give to the spell some side effects like 'draw a card' or 'the slot will be protected for 2 turns'

i agree with some of the previous thoughts that this feels redundant with the existence of flying/animate weapon.  sure it isnt vulnerable to reverse time, but it remains vulnerable to PCs which are much more 'hard' control.

I agree. This card seems a bit too similar to animate weapon.

Of course it's similar to Animate Weapon, but they have different uses. Obviously the common mechanic they share is allowing for multiple weapons on the board.

Animate Weapon, although it allows for combos with things like buffing cards (and Crusader) and Twin Universe, fails to creature control (of which there is plenty), especially Reverse Time. Weapons in their normal form don't allow for these combos but also don't fall to CC.

Here's a huge way in which they are different: If a creature weapon is killed the opponent has just laid waste to two of your cards: the weapon and Animate Weapon. However, if a weapon in a weapon slot is destroyed the slot remains. So it can be reused.

Considering that, it may actually need a small cost increase.

PC tend to be much more hard than CC, with insta-kill/destroy, so after that consideration its pretty much a wash.  dual shield (in level 3) is interesting because you cannot animate shields into creatures, this is not interesting to me because it is already possible, and easy, to have multiple weapons.

As I said, CC is more common than PC. Soft CC like Electrocuter and Reverse Time completely destroys weapons. Plus it's much easier to protect permanents than creatures.

and that is good.  counters are used for balancing the effectiveness of cards.  trying to make a card with fewer counters than an similar existing card is not a path worth treading, imo.
