I love the Idea. 
I find Avenger nerf quite good also (namely Ice golem revert to water when using its freeze ability for free).
That way, water golem synergize pretty well with artic squid.

so
water golem+freeze=ice golem
his ability's name could be 'ice spred' or '....
IDEA!  : 'ice bolt';ice golem loses 1hp
so an ice golem may help other water golem grow up but is risky if you have more than 29 water!

or make it losing 1 hp each turn...

Like the card, but I've a couple questions I don't think have been answered yet:

-what happens if I use freeze on Ice Golem (not water)?
-if an ice golem is aflatoxined does the status carry back to the water golem when it dies? Could I make a loop with this to keep producing malignant cells?

- Phoenix has rules with the creature changing, particularly, Ash is not the creature that just died, but a new creature, whereas using rebirth evolves the Ash into the phoenix so all the permanent effects carry over. What happens with the Water|Ice Golem if it is poisoned or Aflatoxined?

Water Golem and Ice Golem is the same creature. Therefore, all statuses including poison and aflatoxin carries over.

Well, that certainly makes it a lot less OP. I thought it would be like phoenix but way better.

No, actually what I said in that quote was wrong. Statuses carry over when Water evolves into Ice, but doesn't carry over when Ice dies and turns into Water.

so we must think that when water golem is frozen insted he gets +3/-3 and an icy ability(and changes the name in ice golem)!It isn't?
Then when he has enjoyed his brief life,he dies leaving a poor water golem!

i like so much the idea that an ice golem can freeze to trasform another water golem

maybe  :freeze a creature you control
i know is pointless but...
