how about this as a revamped concept?

So, against Crystal Shield, this destroys always the opponent's permanents? If they used PA on it too... Harsh lockdown. Does this work for frozen and delayed also?
It is the greatest mystery of all...

True, cruel card. The upped version should have 2 attack only. So it'd be more interesting. Also could work with a lower cost there.
It's unsuccessful attack, when it is frozen or delayed this creature DOES NOT attack, so it is neither successful nor unsuccessful. (if I'm wrong, change the wording)

I feel 2 hp would be in the OP range.

Then it could get a higher cost + lower attack. If the attack is lower, it'll destroy the shield eventually, then the opponent won't play the shield that likely, since you rather take 2 damage than let it destroy you.

Well, anyway, it's a good counter to untargetable shields. I suppose 2 attack could work

this is what i had in mind for the upped-

cost = 3 atk (+3) + upgraded (-1) + life bonus (-1) + skill (+1) = 2

im aware that making it 2 (or 1) attack would make it a more *powerful* card, but i feel as if it would be a teensy bit too powerful, as it would then trigger off a tad too many shields for my liking.

and yes, being fozen/delayed would not count as unsuccessful attacks, but things like phase shield and bone shield would trigger it.

Not bad but it's pretty much horned frog with an ability so the cost should go up and maybe some more changes like in it's attack and defence but i dont know a thing about making cards yet lol. Great card idea

actually increasing the attack would nerf the card, as the ability would happen less frequently.  i think 3 is a happy medium.  its cost is 1 higher than the frog, and the attack of the upgraded is lower than the frog upgraded.  i believe them to both be fine choices, but they serve different roles, and would work well together.

Well designed. Especially with consideration to DR shields.

Having the ability only trigger on an unsuccessful attack makes the card more interesting and nerfs the skill to acceptable ranges.

Hope
Dusk Shield
Fog Shield
Diamond Shield (upped shield only)
Gravity Shield (requires +2hp)
Dissipation Shield
Bone Shield
Phase Shield
Sundial (I assume sundial works)

I do wonder if the Savage Temper is more of a Fiery attribute.

Updated Theory cost:
cost = 3 :life +1card = 4 = 3 atk (+3) + skill (+1)
cost = 2 :life +1card = 3 = 3 atk (+3) + upgraded (-1) + skill (+1)

i did consider it being a fiery attribute, but considering that primal life can also be rather destructive, especially when frustrated, it fit just fine.

thats pretty much the cost theory i used, but i also included a -1 cost :life creature bonus.

Moomoose's version seems better balanced towards Frog.

The life creature bonus is an outdated adjustment.
