It's not only creatures with grow. Great use for a rustler with 1 |1, dead after 1 use. Maxwell 2 use, fallen elf 2 use, mindflayer, chrysaora, pegasus also 2 turns. (with only 1 of these and not stacking)
And then for spirits | spectres there would be a great use for them, with their original attack of 0 or 1.
Then of course there's the oty, golem and others which I didn't mention.
I consider this already to be a strong card. If it stacks.... It would shut down way too many decks to be balanced.

Yall forget that this is a reactive ability; the player can choose not to grow and save his creature.
Most creatures with a growth/Ablaze ability are near useless without their skill...
I like this card - Does it only target Activated active abilities? Otherwise, poor scorpions...
As to the first part, thats fine with me.  Being stackable means it actually has teeth; most growth cards increase HP.  This isn't that strong.

I think its only active however.

Active are all the skills which can be lobotomised. Active actively triggered are the skills triggered manually whereas active passively triggered are those automatically triggered. The passive skills cannot be lobotomised. I reckon the present wording point to active skills actively triggered. This would mean that the scorpions are safe but not the rustler or Anubis.

Either make it stackable with higher cost or make it unstackable but cheaper :)

Not sure what the cost should be since it's somewhat situational
Not really situational, since almost every deck contains creature with active skills, even FGs (Don't mention DG please)
It could fit well in a rainbow, but upped should only aim for opponent's creatures with increased cost, IMO, or you could mistakenly kill your own creatures :D
It is somewhat situational because there are few decks where you would use the unupgraded version, but the upgraded version is not really situational indeed.  I'd rather the upgraded one cost more than the unupgraded because of how valuable the difference is.

I think SnoWeb is mostly right but johann will clear things up I'm sure.  If it applies to automatic actives, it would be too much like Fire Shield (except a better, more versatile version).  If it does not stack, it may be better off as a shield with 1 DR.

It's powerful enough to be game-changing.  It essentially crimps or cleans out FFQ's, Pharaohs, Oty's, Spirits, Golems, most flying weapons, nymphs, poisoners, etc.

No, it doesn't dominate every deck out there -- just many of them.  There's no way in the world I wouldn't play with this card.  I would be stupid not to use it.

A time-limit or stiff upkeep would be in order.

On-hit abilities, such as Vampire, Luminescence, and Venom, do not trigger this.  Scorpions and Sapphire Chargers would be safe.

Regarding balance against growth creatures, otyughs, etc... please note that even with six of these in hand, during the early game you'll probably only see 1-2 of them out.  This means growth creatures can keep building attack until the risk becomes too great.  PC is also an option.

Compare this to Thorn Carapace, which kills everything on the field that lacks momentum - even through immortality - whether they have abilities or not.  If you got your Golem to 11|3 (took some damage) before I got my third Plasma out, you can just keep it at 11 safely.

It may hurt FFQ's but they can splash in Angel to heal.  I think it's nice and should stack, but you could maybe keep the cost low and have an upkeep of 1 :aether so putting out a bunch early has some drawback and it can't as be thrown in with Fire Shield / Carapace so easily.

Updated to stack, with increased cost.  Also, the upped version no longer ignores friendly creatures; decks that wish to include this card will be limited a bit in their creature choices.

Voodoo doll + BE + this can probably give something fun ... I definitely find this idea genius. Very good work.
