- Changed ability from removing Immaterial to a Parallel Universe effect

I'd change the remove immaterial ability. even with the +5/+5 to the creature. Instead, I'd make it have a Parallel Universe effect. Something like:  :aether :aether: Turn into target creature.

Ohh thanks for the idea, now I have some deciding to do.  Any particular reason why you would prefer a Parallel Universe effect over the current?

Immaterial shoudl always stay immaterial. That's why i dislike un-immaterialing creatures. A creature that has the same effect as a PU just sounds like an interesting concept. That way, you get a useful card while in play, and when you could play a PU, you already have a card that can turn into that creature. It's like a PU but a bit more powerful, yet not making PU obsolete, since not every deck with PU uses sparks.

Cool I understand.  Thanks for your advice  ;)

Who would hate playing against fractal graboids?

Who would hate playing against fractal graboids?
Many people. However this card does not affect burrowed creatures, only immaterial creatures.

So I do really like Kamietsu's suggestion about Parallel Universe being the ability, but can't decide, should I replace the current ability?  I'll throw up a poll.

Alright cool, looking at the poll, I've decided to change it to a PU effect  ::)

Thanks Kamietsu I'll add you to the card creators.

Q: Can you use this on non-shield/weapon permanents?

I envisioned it to follow the same pattern as Parallel Universe, so no, as of right now it only works on creatures.

I was just curious if anyone did mention the 'OPness of living Ball Lightnings' here, that I have been forced to face with a different idea. But it seems it's not that significant, so my doubts have been dissipated :]

Anyway, I love your gem series, hope they'll make it someday in the game, but I'm just wondering: why are they creatures? Permanent would fit more in my mind. (They'd even deserve a slot next to the shield and weapon..)

Its an idea for sure, they don't need to be creatures, but that's what I decided to run with when first creating the series.  I'd be glad if they got implemented into the game regardless of in which form.

I'm rather weary of fractal ball lightnings personally.

A reasonable state or weariness.

Perhaps... Perhaps I should remove its active ability and replace it with an upkeep cost.  But then the stone is worthless by itself and basically limits it to one strategy.

Maybe instead of giving +0|+1, it could instead give momentum?

Or, if that is too UP, compared to the current version +1|+0 and momentum?

That would seem like a good compromise.

fractal ball lightning?
that would be awesome with this card.

could possibly be OP in combination with quint (this card will be indestructable, as it has 0 attack, so no shield damage), fractal, dim shields, and BLs
the damage gets up fast, and you can protect your self from damage as well, AND there aren't too many mass CC right now

Is it just me, or is this going to make fractalized ball lightnings very scary?  :D
