I love the idea (Devourer/Pest being one of my favourite cards). Seems balanced, and not as OP with Fractal as one would think. Especially considering that a Titanium/Permafrost/Jade/etc. Shield can block out all quanta drain.

It would also fail against Sanctuary, as :aether has no PC.

I really hope this card makes it into the game. The ratio of  :aether creatures to spells makes addition of creatures a good idea.
