If ever a turn 1 win would be possible these would lend consistancy to it. As of right now a turn 1, even with these, is not possible. With these the fastest you can win is turn 2, currently the fastest possible win is turn 4. These would double the game's speed alone, with introducing other cards it could potentially lead to turn 1 wins.

I agree that Nova is OP, but that doesn't make these any less OP. The fact that you'd even need to restrict these in tournaments if upped is proof that they're OP.

After seeing the deck posted by uppercut, I agree that this is slightly OP.  There are two fixes to this, both are easily done:

1.  Make the 6 card limit apply (if it doesn't already apply, I wasn't quite sure if it does or doesn't)

2.  Increase the cost to 5 unupped, 4 upped.  This does weaken the card slightly, but it would still see a ton of use.  I, for example, would run a few gravity ones in my scarab charge. 


Either of those will do the job.  Honestly, I would go with the first, seeing as this card SHOULD be affected by the 6 card limit seeing as is it not a pillar/tower/pendulum.

I was more thinking:
The 6 card limit DOES apply.
However, every quantum flash for each element is considered a different card, like different towers, for example.
The result is the possibility of running up to 6 quantum flashes from EACH element, which is a total of 72 flashes possible in a deck, or 60 considering the max deck size.

1.The problem isn't the 6 card limit, its that these are 12 different cards.

2. This would still give every deck an on color precognition that fixes their quanta. Nobody cares about seeing someone's hand with precog, it makes your deck thinner and thats why its so good.

3. So the net result is still just -1 random quanta, and this still allows for some nutty draws and almost infinitely thinned out decks. When you only need to have 30 cards in your deck I'd consider Precognition relatively busted too as a 24 card deck with 6 ofs is insanely consistant. These + Cremation/Nova = always increase the odds of getting your hand how you want it while fixing the quanta off of Nova or Cremation.

But really its a question of how the game should flow. From a design standpoint Zanz already decided that fast free quanta is a thing. The ability to fix that quanta while thinning your deck and shaping your hand only serves to increase the general speed of the game. Does  Elements need to be a faster game?

You cannot have more than 6 of a quantum flash in your deck.
However, there are 12 different quantum flashes, from different elements.
This means that you can have a deck with nothing but quantum flashes, from various different elements.

This card seems powerful enough already as it cycles for free for some crazy deck thinning. It also has an effect, however minor, which allows you to fix your quanta if you lack one particular type. Leaf Dragon/Rustler allows you to also generate positive quanta with this card allowing you to accelerate your deck even more.

Imagine this deck:

6 x Bright Flash (Upped)
6 x Leaf Dragon (Upped)
6 x Scorpion (Upped)
4 x Life Nymph (Upped)
2 x [Light Tower or Emerald Dragon] (Upped)
I'd have to test the deck to get a better feel of which cards to choose, but this deck would be incredibly fast.

EDIT: I made it clear which cards were upgraded.

I think people should wait for Kael Hate to test the possible "op" combinations.  People seem to think it's op but if it costs 4 quanta to play and you only gain 3 quanta and a card back that doesn't seem that great to me.  I see how the 12 element thing would be more powerful though.  How about this?:

Allow only 6 or 12 flashes in your deck.

For example:

6 fire flashes, 6 water flashes

or

6 time flashes, 6 life flashes.

That would completely destroy the only time this card could actually be op.
