(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/NightmareUpgraded.png) | They just can't get you out of their head, and the more they think about you the less they can think about anything else... Nightmare fills the enemy's hand full of cards, as well as providing a drain effect that cannot be countered by a shield. This makes a for powerful lockdown effect that can be accomplishsed by a Mono-Darkness by continously Nightmaring a Harpy or other high-cost creature to keep their attack at 8 (The full hand size), which is double the attack one could normally get from a 4 :cost creature. |
It's better to keep one's mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth...and remove all doubt. Silence prevents the enemy from playing any cards, which preserves your Harpies's high attack gained from Nightmare. In addition with a card like Ghost of the Past, you could cause a lot of damage in a small amount of time. | (http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/SilenceUpgraded.png) |
(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/Rewind.png) | Take your time today. In fact, take someone else's time, too. They won't miss it. Rewind allows you to lock the enemy's draw, which in combination with denial like Pest, Discord, and Silence can prevent opponent from emptying their hand. |

(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/ShockwaveUpgraded.png) | Something unexpected might happen, and it will happen fast. Shockwave instantly destroys the opponent's weapon when it targets the opponent, which makes a very good synergy between :air and :water as you can permanently get rid of the weapon that otherwise would have to be refrozen. With Winter freezing the enemy weapon continuously, this means you do not have to use repeated Ice Bolts either, allowing for a much more efficient combo in :water bolt decks. |
Draw your blade -- or someone else's blade, for that matter -- and step boldly into the fray. Crusader allows you to completely lockdown the opponent's weapon by having repeated "freeze strikes" everytime it defrosts - and you can endow the frozen weapon as well to reap it's benefits. | (http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/CrusaderUpgraded.png) |
(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/PermafrostShield.png) | Your caution will be rewarded when your biggest annoyances are held at bay for a time. Even if you're holding down your opponent's weapon, you still have to deal with creatures. Permafrost Shield can freeze the creatures that you're having problems with, while you play cards like Ice Dragon to increase your damage output and Shockwave to shatter all the frozen enemies. |

(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/ImprovedFog.png) | If you're not careful, you'll end up missing something that's coming straight at you! Fog Shield is a cheap but very effective shield in the game, and is well-known for it's "haxx"-like luck in blocking entire waves of attacks with just a 40% chance to successfully block an attack. When stacked with most shields, it's very helpful as it can prevent entire attacks rather than just triggering a denial effect or less damage when creatures damage you. |
Today is a day for taking what you want, but not by force. Trick - then treat! Have an extra shield slot, but no shield to use it with? With Steal, not only can you retain the denial power of the shield you already have in play, but add on your opponent's shield to your defense. | (http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/ImprovedSteal.png) |
(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/FireBuckler.png) | Offense really is the best defense this time around. Fire Shield is well known for being an effective CC shield, killing off creatures rather than guarding yourself. However, this shield also benefits if another shield is played - attacking creatures always trigger your original (left) shield first, so with some careful ordering you can kill creatures off while shrugging off damage at the same time - or you could stack another Fire Shield, Thorn Carapace (http://elementscommunity.org/wiki/cards-life/thorn-carapace-spine-carapace/), or Skull Buckler (http://elementscommunity.org/wiki/cards-death/skull-shield-skull-buckler/) to make a wall of death. |

(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/Epinephrine.png) | Activity is the name of the game. Keep moving, far past your supposed limits, and success will come. Adrenaline (Alternatively known as Epinephrine) works especially well with this card, since it has a higher attack than a Scorpion, which allows for more damage overall and the greater potential to bypass shields. The unupgraded version of Neriad can become a powerful force especially with Momentum (http://elementscommunity.org/wiki/cards-gravity/momentum-unstoppable/). |
Your caution will be rewarded when your biggest annoyances are held at bay for a time. You might have a continuous source of healing with your Neriads, but what about all those creatures on the opponent's field? Permafrost Shield comes in handy here - it's freeze power is one of the most effective CC's in the game, as well as being in the same element as Neriad. | (http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/PermafrostShield.png) |
(http://elementscommunity.org/images/Cards/FractalUpgraded.png) | It's like looking at yourself looking at yourself look at yourself...only without a mirror. With Fractal and a sufficient amount of Water quantum, you can easily build an army of Neriads that have the potential to quickly boost your healing and prevent you from being easily taken down - imagine yourself with 100 Purify counters. ;) |
Harpy's a must for the game, GoTP nightmare decks will be much more used, as will Nightmare in mono-dark deck.this explains why it has so many votes... im sad :time is having a thing for :darkness as opposed to :fire ...

So many of these I would never want to see in the game.If those cards were able to get into Armory at all, it means they are not completely without merit. I don't think you should say all these cards are horrible except the ones you like.
How they got in the armory will always confuse me.

Anyway, this is probably going to be the hardest... I have five I like and just two votes! D:
[snip]Actually Zblader, SG was 'technically' the one who made the Original Featured Cards format (I just began writing the articles once she saw that old ones seemed to bulky and had the 'wall-of-text' effect without the separated categories). So you should really give the credit to SG. Just saying. ^^;

That said, this topic is going much better than I expected. :) I'll try not to be too biased when voting (assuming I can make up my mind). ^^;
so...bump?I was working on it, I was busy with other things so I was held down a bit.

uh, why not just do a write up for both?It takes a good chunk of time/energy for me to do one, and I'm worried if I have to write multiple card reviews in one post it will begin to look like a wall of text that may discourage people from reading.
using a rng to pick a 'winner' kinda wipes out the people who voted for the other card. and being honest, i would probably have made the same point had the other card on the short end of the stickUgh...
if its a big chunk of time/effort, dont worry about it, it would just be nice to be noted as an equal winner sans writeup moreso than an honorable mention (usually the title for the one that didn't actually have a share of the win). just putting the image/link to thread at the bottom of the post would be pleasingOk then, thanks for understanding. Altered the description text slightly and added the Slow | Stop image at the bottom of the thread.

Awesome!! Thanks, community! :)Fear Shield added. However, as others that have used polls might know, editing the poll causes the "Remove Vote" option to be removed, so please consider carefully before you make a vote.
Also, the current poll left out Fear Shield | Terror Shield.
You can retick it. (I'm pretty sure).As in restart the poll itself or just reset all the votes to 0? I can't seem to find the option to reenable "remove vote" when I edit the poll. ^^;
