Minor nitpick - Replace destroyed with killed? Destroy -> Permanents. Killed -> Creatures.

Yeah. the ability is nearly identical to some card ideas and has been done many times, but the revenge thing is new.

Idk I'm new to this card making business. The downside is important though otherwise there are legitimate OP concerns.

 I love this card! You can damage your Martyr with non- cards and heal him with Angels or Holy Lights. He can become very powerful, but if he falls he greatly damages you, so it is well balanced IMO.
 However, I am not sure if the theme of Martyr fits into such an aggresive, vengeful, damage-growth creature.

I had an idea for a card not a name, if you have any suggestions I'd happily consider them.

 True, but why should Martyr's atk stat raise by taking damage? He is a Martyr, not a mazochist (sorry for the sarcasm here). And why should a Martyr deal damage to you equal to his atk stat if he dies? Too vengeful for a Martyr, don't you think?
