HP is up for debate as well as what the bonus for the upgraded version will be.

Name/Skill Name are up for debate as well.

I have a feeling it needs 5|6 HP so that Rage isn't an instant option.

12|2 for 8 quanta + 2 cards and 14|2 for 7 quanta + 2 cards is very powerful.

True but you need both quanta and both cards. If you remove rage potion as a possibility the card becomes a lot less useable. besides at 2 hp if your opponent has creature control they can kill it relatively easily.

That's my opinion anyway.

Keeping card cost in mind, it's at best a half-decent idea. A far cry from very powerful. Martyr is fine.

I have one remark though. Grudge doesn't seem to fit a martyr at all.

@Higs: I'd've used Crimson Dragon as the point of reference but that.
My suggestion was "Retribution" but he didn't take it, possibly due to length concerns.

Retribution sounds a lot more fitting.  As for text...

Retribution:  All damage to Martyr is added to its attack. If this card is destroyed, take damage equal to its attack.

Would healing Martyr cause the attack to drop?

Yeah i agree grudge is weird but very limited space. I'm very open to changing it as I don't like it much!

I thought about the healing part but I think it makes the card a lot less useful and isn't necessary.

Ah, almost forgot about the death damage.  However, a decent amount of elements can't deal with this right away.  Death needs time for infection, Life is same for Spine Carapace, Light alone has no means at all to take this on.

Got nothing to say to that but aren't those some of the downsides of playing an element without much creature control?
