I'd see more use out of this in Death. Too bad it already has two shields while Darkness only has one. However, I also find Darkness to be much more used than Death (the Death rush being an exception), so I still wouldn't mind this shield in Death. It's pretty weak, but still neat.

On the contrary, I think it fits perfectly with Darkness. I always considered Fire and Darkness as very similar elements. I also can't help notice the correspondence between this shield and Fire Shield. The name is also very good, fits with the theme and effect. It is now well balance in cost. It deserve to go in game at one point. Good Work.

I know this has been said before, but I'd like to remind people of it: Everyone says that when a creatures attack reaches zero, it is "rendered useless."  Not necessarily. With RoL+Hope, giving photons atk of zero does not shut down the deck; they are still bioluminescent.  Same with an  Elite FFQ- still creates elite Fireflies.  On the other hand, fire shield destroys RoL+Hope and quickly shuts down firefly swarms.

side note, phoinex against fire shield is 7+0+0+7+0+0..., takes one full turn before you can re-phoinex
and agaisnt terror golems get +1/+2 per turn, against fire +2/+1

It's not overpowered if you just don't make the attack reduction stack! Then just make the upped version give -2/-0

I think it's good.
I've realized that there's nothing in the game so far that decreases attack (Outside of AM), and this would be perfect for it.

You're FFQ will eventually die and if you're using ROL-Hope you'd be idiotic to have a field full of RoL's most should be about 10 then rest dragons. The 0 attack RoL's will keep the shield at 10 preventing msot creatures from doing any damage with the dragons providing good damage for 12 more turns.
