Malduk, I didn't answer because it was covered in a previous post, but you're correct.

I also already answered the question about shields - doesn't ignore them.  Triggers things like freezing.  Can you go read the whole thread now?

I read the thread when I posted the first reply, forgot the bit about shields. Since antimatter - liquid shadow combo ignores shields, you should probably add an extra note that this ability doesnt ignore shields as it not really something that goes without saying.

You should probably also add in notes that creature attacks at the same time ability is used as it is also something that is completely different to what exists now - creatures attack at the end of their turns.

Cards go through changes during discussions in their threads, you cant really expect for people to read all Q&A in the thread to figure out what exactly does it do.

I dont really mind mechanics that is not consistent with the rest of the game, but this thing where creatures attack in the middle of the turn is something insanely hard to counter. For example, if your opponent antimatters your dragon, that dragon will heal him once at the end of your turn. You have time to do something about it. But this ability uses your creatures multiple times before you get to do anything. And when you get your turn, all you can do is kill that creature and not field any more creatures unless you can either kill Sirens or have shield that is not possible to penetrate. Correct me if I misinterpreted something.

Antimatter ignores most shields, but liquid shadow does not.

All the Sing ability does is make the creature targeted immediately attack its owner as if it were your own creature.  All other rules are followed as normal, so 1) shields affect the creature's instant attack, 2) an antimattered creature will heal its target, etc.

In fact, I've just decided a vampiric creature will heal the person using Sing.  Pretend the creature went over to your side of the table for the duration of the instant-attack.  (I'll add this to the OP so people can interpret various tactics more easily.)

As for countering this, you could...
- Play a bunch of small creatures so your opponent's mirror-damage is minimized.
- Quint your creatures.
- Kill the Siren.  (Should I lower her health a bit?  She can take everything but lightning, or shockwave if she's just an Enchantress.)
- Run a creatureless deck, like Fire Lance rush.
- Use a shield that is capable of protecting you against all or most of your creatures (ex: run 6+ health stuff and a Gravity Shield).

Fire Lance decks can only be countered with a fast rush, quicksand, or spell-reflecting shields... even the shield option is bypassable if you pack a shield and "ReflecTrick" the spell.

CURATOR COMMENT

To move to the Crucible
- Fix the Ability box so the Text is the same as that of the Card image. This includes Icons, Ability Names etc. Exactly the same.

The best scenario would be: creature's attack is activated immediately (and in the direction it is facing). Thus you would actually get an extra attack if you target your own critter :)
Yes and no.  The creature would get an extra attack, but the attack triggered by this ability would be against YOU.

If you were to freeze a ruby dragon, could you cast sing on it?
Yes, but it would only get a "turn" - freeze counter would decrease by 1.  Only Quinted creatures won't be affected by this ability.
I wrote, it WOULD be the most useful, if the creature would work like that. I didn't imply it works like that now, but made a suggestion of change.

Also burrowed ones as they are untargetable.

(havent read the whole thread)
this looks sorta UP...3 a turn to do a few damage early on, maybe more later? maybe with poison or something...but its still too expensive methinks unless theres some amazing combo im missing

Depends what creature you're singing at, and what your opponent's shield is.

If your opponent is using Permafrost Shield, you could freeze something of his.  If Fire Shield/Thorn Carapace, you could kill something slowly.  If Procrastination, you can lock a creature out.  If the creature has any poison counters, they will be applied.  Throw on your own Thorn Carapace (ooh,  :water :life added synergy!), and you can speed up some of the kills it grants.  A fun thought - combine this with Gravity Pull and make your opponent's creatures fight each other!  Some of these ideas imply trio decks, which makes this card look more interesting in light of the new Pendulums.

Siren does its own damage in addition to being able to "reflect" a creature's damage for 3 :darkness a pop.  If your opponent has a Ruby Dragon, that's 15 damage for 3 quanta - the efficiency would be equal to a Fire Bolt with 40 quanta stored.  Like PU, this can be a disincentive to use Growth excessively.  Of course, you wouldn't sing at a Photon for the sake of the damage...

But yes, this does have some interesting potential to screw your opponent over.  Take away the ability and it's still 4 attack for 5 quanta and fairly resilient - it's like an Abomination.

A little quirk you may not have noticed: even friendly creatures can be targeted.  This means you can use Antimatter against your opponent, and speed up freezing/delay counters on your own critters.

I did consider lowering the ability cost, but I thought about it for a while and I think it's fine as is.  Thanks for the input!

Question!!
I get that if you sing to an enemy's creature that delivers poison (like puffer fish) your opponent would get the poison but, How does this skill work in creatures that produce quanta ? since their "gain  :light/ :air/ :earth" ability activates when they attack, would you get the quanta they generate after the attack? And make my question marks wider 'cause I don't get  how this would work with adrenalined creatures either.
I really like this Idea, BTW. And WoW that's some nice art!

The creature will instantly behave as if it's on your side of the field AND you just ended your turn.  Adrenaline will apply, and quantum generation will benefit you.

Thanks, this is one of my favorite ideas and I like the art too!  And you have no idea how long it took to find this art - someone complained about it (assuming the suggestive nature) earlier in the thread, but it's crazy hard to find a mermaid/seawitch/etc. picture online that ISN'T NSFW.  Srsly.

There are three main benefits to this card over PU:
1) You can negatively affect your opponent's creature with it, if he has shields out or you've already poisoned it.
2) You can "copy" more than six creatures per game, if the opportunity arises... though only six at once unless you work with Fractal (possible, if you use water/dark with pendulums and aether mark).

The fact that you got this image from a shop might have given you the idea that this is commercial artwork. It is. I'd suggest changing it.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

I believe my use of that artwork is defensible under the four factors of Fair Use:

1. Purpose - my use of the artwork is not intended to produce commercial gain.
2. Nature - the image file I used has already been published online by the owner and made available for free download to anyone also present on the Elements forum.
3. Amount - somewhat subjective, but I have cropped and shrunk it quite a bit, and am not using enough of the original to conflict with #4...
4. Devaluation of original - shop is selling an iPhone skin.  My use of the artwork on this site will not decrease their profits - and may in fact work to the company's benefit.

What do you think of this?
