I like it, but burrow is... that. no creature control at all. So it would only affect non borrowrd/immaterial creatures.

Try Time/SoR now.  Throw in perhaps a few other cards, say Precogs and some GoTPs, and you have a powerful timerush that could probably challenge an old grabbie rush, if not in speed but control.
