Just won using my deck ADD : http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,47267.0.html :)

Not sure who looks for a fully upped deck with 6 purple nymphs to fight with Akebono...
Also, I'd rather have you post the deck, not a link to the deck topic.
You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy.

EM with this half-upped version of the deck in the OP. Drew neither antimatter nor nymphs in opening hand, but had both chaos seeds; one of them reversed his dragon with overdrive which gave me time to bring out the nymphs.

I just tried this deck (i'm still pretty new to elements)
I didn't draw a nymph's tear : I was toast in 5 turns.
Too much luck dependant imho.
I'll try the deck with sundial next.

You'll discover that certain FGs can simply be amazingly fast and that no deck will winn 100% against them. Akebono can be one of the fastest, if it gets the right draw to start. So, if you lost in 5 turns, it doesn't mean the deck needs reworking, it just means Akebono was in the groove that match.

This one didn't work for me either, just one NT in the first 12 cards....  Oh well

Hmm...  I wonder how reliable this deck is.  I just lost with it pretty hard - multiple armagios and massive dragons with overdrive = woof.

But Akebono is pretty tough regardless of the deck.

In any case, this is what I used (same deck as above with a few upped cards that I already had):

Edit: meant to try this again, but forgot to paste the code.  That said, PDials gave me the EM, so it worked out OK.

Yeah, Poison Dials works far better than any of this Liquid Antimatter nonsense. FAR better.

I like the Nymph's Tears deck from the OP more than the Liquid Shadow/Antimatter deck since you can repeatedly cast LS or AM indefinitely. Akebono has 4 Shards of Focus that needs to be "lobotomized" by LS. Akebono also has the habit of playing Overdrive on his AM'ed creatures.

You can only fail the EM when he plays Titan.

I thought that this idea might be able to work against Akebono, but it's not quite there....  Thinking about it, there's no way to stop the Chimera the turn it's created, so I'm not sure it's viable after all....  I'd take out the Titans and flying weapons, and add more chargers and maybe psions, but any other thoughts/suggestions?

Good call Higs - but you'd have to have a reliable way to predict when he would cast Chimera, which might get tricky.  Did you see any potential in this deck, or were you just commenting that you can stop a Chimera?  In any case, thanks for the comment.

Akebono plays Chimera when the total attack of all his non-delayed, non-frozen creatures matches or exceeds your HP.
