As a General, I like to let people do whatever they want to do. If you don't feel comfortable with the vault management side of things, no problem. If all you want to do is think about your own match up each round, that's totally fine. If you'd feel more comfortable with me giving out tasks to you then I can do that too. Whatever works for you. All I'll ask is that you play your deck a bit each round before playing your match, and try to have someone else in chat when it's happening.
I'd encourage you to get involved with as much as you can, though. Maybe figuring out salvage and discards each round is a bit intimidating (it sure as hell was for me when I started), but post your thoughts anyway and see how it goes. War is great for this sort of thing - you've got a whole team to back you up if you make any mistakes, and you probably won't make that many anyway. If there's every anything you're unsure about, don't hesitate to ask.
