I know it was recommended last war that teams could use tinychat.com . I've never used it but looking around on the site it seems pretty easy to use.  We should definitely try to get this going though because live communication can be a lot easier discussing some things.

This will work for now, but I think and IRC channel would be better. I'm not sure how to go about setting that up though. Does someone want to look into that?

Having a standalone client is, of course, recommended.  Firefox has a nice extension if you don't want to get fancy.
As soon as possible, authorize your account and post your nick here.  Explanation of how here:

With a little setup we should be able to get a bot to hold the channel for us.

A reminder:  Activity on chat is vital to the war.  Even if you can't stay on long enough to do any testing, just getting to know the rest of the team better will help.

Ok, I'm probably just stupid, but I can't figure out how to make a proper account. The guide linked here is... messy. It starts from two steps ahead of me.

EDIT: nevermind, I managed to do it. It wasn't THAT difficult, after all.
