After failing misserably with my first attempt at building a deck for a strat role, here is some stuff that will hepl next time.

1.Forget how you built decks so far for war. The mentality here should be completely different. What I and many ppl do during war is see what their opponent might bring and try to counter that, adding 4-5 versatility cards for helping vs unexpected decks
2.Focus on countering one deck but not have that deck in mind-odd I know. Try to counter the deck you expect using 24-26 cards, NOT THE WHOLE 36. Use the rest 4-5 for utility cards (CC,PC) and the sideboard for a pace switch (rush-->domin). The strength of strategist comes imo from its versatility.
Spoiler for what I did wrong vs water:
expected PC so I removed all kind of perms from the initial start version of dark duo, and used the card space for some CC. Compair the initial deck

with the actual deck I used

Both should be doing quiet well vs PC but the deck I used had no versatility. Also there was no possibility to switch pace.
3.Try to be versatile, not hard countering stuff. Should aim for a 40-50% win vs as many deck types as possible.
4.Rush/domin is the best switch imo, since the sideboard offers the fatness that can cope with late war stalls. Hurricane is the deck that best did the rush/dom switch and is still available (slightly gimped). What many teams use is the dim/dimless versions of their deck which is also working as it seems.
5.Stick to the war preparation start decks if possible, they were well thought- I know we lost 2 of those by now
6.Test alot vs possible opponent decks, straight and reverse and have a list of decks to use vs each situation. My list was only for decks I expected, not preped for unexpected decks. This is where strat comes usefull, when facing what you dont expect.
7.Read Acs article "who is the beatdown" and understand it.Test and go back to no 6 and check your deck lists if they are right. One think I learned from my match regarding the article is, it does not show you how to beat stuff, it shows you how to adjust your play style for a max possible % of winning ie. you can be hard countered but play your role right and still lose 3-0. Not sure I played my role here correctly but I am sure it was a match I could not have won
8Make your match at a time a teamate will spectate and assist with a cooler eye. Estimating PC, CC, deck speed etc can be hard in the heat of the battle and someone confirming your count is very helpfull. Kev showed me in chat a possible built of what I was facing and together agreed on the deck mods and our chances.

After all these a wiser deck choice would have been

PC comes either remove the perms or keep some cloaks depending on PC heaviness
CC comes stick with the cloaks
Steamers come LS
Rush comes fog,oe,dagger,CC
