I've been thinking about it and I really think this is the round that we should break out the UGs. The main reason for this is that this is the last round where we can use them in an optimally sized deck and not have to get rid of them if we happen to lose. Since we only have 6 of them, if we keep them any longer than this they'll be gone as soon as the deck using them happens to lose.

I'm not sure which matchup they'd be best suited for, but it seems like they should fit somewhere.

With Glowing Ice's salvage, we might be able to make some sort of duo with fire. I'll look into it when I get a chance.

Just for reminding, what deck are still avilable:

1. Healing Firefly queen deck
2. Dimensional Shield - Quinted Dragon decks (2)
3. Fractal - Spiders- Wings deck
4. Fractal - Fireflies -Hope deck
4. Healing and Stealing  :darkness deck
5. Flying Owl's
6. Earthquake deck
7. Nerfed  :entropy deck (with 3(flying?) Discords, 2 Antimatters, 1 Purple Dragon, some Butterflies)
8. A duo with (2) Immolations and Phoenixes
9. Flying Titans
10. Blessed Pegasuses - Fireflies (1 Miracle is possible to add there)
10. Different mono-like decks, which could use  :fire mark and deflags. Also UG deck.

I haven't made converting yet, but I'll do it, when there is clear which decks we are going to use. Also, some changes in discarding are possible.
The Owls are not what they seem.

How about this deck or something similar:

Code: [Select]
5f9 5f9 5oc 5oc 5oc 5od 5od 5oe 5oe 5om 5om 5om 5om 5om 5om 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61u 61u 63a 63a

I'm thinking particularly against  :entropy because in the last 2 rounds they haven't used any perm control except earthquakes.  To counter this we cal split up the pendulums into pillars a bit.  It also beats almost every  :light deck from the last two rounds, with the exception of stone skin/ miracle.

Edit: updated with better pillar spread to combat earthquake

I went back and looked at our matches against entropy in the first round and they used a bunch of BE's so they may have just been saving them up and ready to use them against us.

Truddy, relying only on 2 Immos is unreliable :) But it may be possible, but against who?

Seems that  :light doesn't bother much about perm control. Maybe I'm going for something like this:

Code: [Select]
5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5of 5of 5of 5of 5of 5of 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61u 621 621 621 621 621 621
But only in case if this deck is able to kill their firebolt and icebolt decks.

The Owls are not what they seem.

Stalling until you can immolate a dragonfly, or a wyrm if necessary.  If there is no perm control you can jut line the UGs up and wait until you have the right cards and enough UGs for the final blow.

Yours probably works better against  :light because of the bolt decks,  :entropy has run no perm control lately either and they do not use bolts either really so that may be where mine could work.

Here's a first attempt at the earth deck. It's fairly slow though, so it should be tested to see if it can beat the time decks, particularly the darkness one.
Code: [Select]
591 591 591 592 592 592 593 593 593 593 593 595 595 5of 5ol 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 7mu 7mu 7mu
I think that basically any deck that doesn't have other weapons to run should run at least a singleton Owl's Eye. It's such good CC that I think basically every deck will benefit from having 1.

Truddy, the idea is good, but deck needs more  :air. It is a bit scary to use it against  :entropy, but maybe i'll take this one for myself :) . If anybody wants to test something, I'm in chat all night long. I guess we definitely need to test this EQ thing.

Btw, 13 Pillars for EQ deck against time is minimum, because they have devourers, discords, eq-s. All against our quanta.

I like this EQ deck less and less; let me just convert it, and i can save a normal deck with those cards, like another  :darkness or  :entropy deck. Or just get more Pillars.

I probably won't take gas deck, because I just noticed that  :light used a reflective shield against us.

Ok, now seems that  :time could be in trouble if you both, QuantumT and Truddy go with the  :darkness deck. I'm not sure what they could do about that. If they steal, you Steal back, if they play Discord, again, you steal it. And what is more importnt, you can heal too. They don't have vampires or LS-s. But in order to do that, I must convert and probably the same EQ deck into Pillars. What you think?
The Owls are not what they seem.

Me and Dogg just got done doing some testing.  We tested flying titans vs.  :darkness two main decks and the EQ deck against  :time two main decks.

Flying titans vs.  :darkness graboid rainbow dominated.  It won every test and generally wasn't close.

Flying titans vs. fractal devourers was generally a loss.  It would usually be 1-2 flying titans out before lockdown.  This wouldn't do enough damage before vampires could be fractalled and this would end it.

EQ deck vs.  :time EQ deck:   :time EQ win every time I believe.  Generally a few dragons or graboids were out before EQ happened and there wasn't enough CC and no shield to stop them from finishing our deck off.

EQ deck vs.  :time steal deck:  This was pretty even with a few games going each way.

I think for the EQ deck to work it needs either another Owls eye or some fog shields.  I wouldn't be against scrapping it as pervepic suggested.

What about using flying OE/ bonewalls against darkness?  We could switch a few pendulums for pillars to maintain more  :air to be able to use OE ability.  I saw that we do still have the bonewalls in the vault.

I think one or both  :darkness decks could work against time.  I also think fractal firefly is a possibility because they have lots of EQ and it has won vs. an EQ deck before.

Ok then, bye EQ deck and welcome back  :darkness deck! And fractal-Firefly is definitely an option against Time. But I wouldn't expect EQ-s so much from, but rather Discords (and even Maxwells they could get from us). The problem with Fractal-Devourer is that  :aether may play it too. And I don-t know what to do then. Does this one work against Aethers Fractal-Devourers/Vamps?

Code: [Select]
5la 5lk 5lk 5lk 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5ok 5ok 5ok 5ok 5ok 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 61o 61u 622 622 622 622 63a 63a
And I thought about our old anti-life deck :)

Code: [Select]
5ok 5oo 5oo 5oo 5oo 5oo 5oo 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 61o 61u 620 620 620 620 622 622 622 622 63a 63a
I don't know, but even if they have some kind of perm control, they should be still in trouble, since wings last 5 turns.

Against  :fire  :
Code: [Select]
4vf 4vl 4vl 4vl 4vn 4vn 4vo 4vo 4vo 5od 5od 5od 5of 5of 5of 5og 5oi 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu
Agains  :darkness it is possibl to go with that again:

Code: [Select]
52q 52r 52r 52r 52r 52r 52r 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5ol 5ol 5ol 5ol 5ol 5ol 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu
Not sure what they do about that.

No matter how i look at it, i just can't find anything that could be better against  :death :
Code: [Select]
5c6 5c6 5c6 5c6 5c6 5lk 5lk 5og 5oj 5oj 5oj 5oj 5oj 5ol 5ol 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu
I am aware how bad it would be to lose this deck:

Code: [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5f6 5fb 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5of 5of 5of 5of 5of 5og 5oi 5oi 5ol 5ol 5ol 5oo
If anybody has something better against  :entropy, let me know.

So everyone, it would be a really good idea if you could set up some time to test your decks. You should test them against the decks the team has already shown (with a focus on the ones that have been played against us).

There are 2 main reasons for this. The more important one is just make sure that something wasn't overlooked when the decks were chosen. The other reason is just to get more familiar with how the matchups go so that you don't make play mistakes.

There's no need to go overboard though. A couple games against each of the decks should be fine. Go ahead and post how the matchups seem to be on this thread so that we can evaluate them as a team.

QunatumT, which one is better in your deck, Dusk or LS? Dusk is usually better but it may be stolen. And I don't know yet what Truddy should play, because Minor Vampires are a bit weak and it takes time to make LS-s work and they may be rewinded. If Fracatal-Firelies work against  :time, then we probably should go for it and chose another deck against  :aether. Which in turn could "surpise" us with Fractal-Devourers and I'm not sure what to do againt that. Firefly-Queen? But if Queen deck goes there, then agains  :death (which has rewinds too) we are a bit in trouble. Flying Titans are risky there; blessed Pegasuses are risky too, because they have a Phase Shield deck. In a word, no idea :)

There is a possibilty to go with  the same  :darkness deck against  :death again and maybe it is not so idiotic as it seems.
The Owls are not what they seem.
