Dragoon1140 used the same deck for round 1 and 2.  who wants to bet same deck on round 3?....

I would lean towards him changing decks, but it probably wouldn't hurt if the deck we took was ok against the one he's already played.

An interesting startegy would be indeed this: let the whole team lose all games, discard all the air cards, and just to play further alone and convert some pendulums-pillars every round  :). That would take really endless time to beat me. But I guess this strategy would be just...boring?

Scratch what I told you about that Pervepic. There's an even better way to do it. If you just take 58 card decks with all 29 air cards (for the sake of argument), then you only have to discard 1 air card. So you can last basically as long as you have the cards to keep losing, at a rate of only 1 per round.

The optimum deck size for this would be 36 cards, with 18 air cards. You discard the 18 off element cards and 12 air pillars/pendulums. You then use the salvage to get back up to the 18 air cards. Doing it this way, you could even keep 11 air cards out of site for when you were forced to try and win.

So guys, it's decision time. If we want to win at all costs, this is definitely the way to do it.

Edit: Pervepic, you don't have to let us lose. It's really just in the choices of what decks we play and what we discard if we do lose. Basically, we try for as long as we can, but just play decks with all air cards and discard the air cards if we lose so we can force the count lower.

I think i have no idea what are we talking about. Can someone explain it better to me? Do I have to lose a game on purpose? The way i see it, it's the only way i can lose a match, or even a single game for that matter :D

Ee, but I don't want to play alone.. ???
Ok, if we really going for this, then it's the end of converting and the start of mono-decks. But I am still not sure.
It's sad, but QuantumT, you are probably right. I still would like to hear what others think about that.
No Dogg, you don't have to lose on purpose.

To help clear it up what we're talking about, I'll demonstrate by example.

Let's say that right now, we only had 29 air cards in our vault. This would mean that we could only field 1 legal deck, and the rest of us would sit out. That would mean, at worst, we would only lose 30 cards a round if we played this way. We would let the other teams eliminate each other, which would be virtually guaranteed to last until only one other team was left, because even if Pervepic lost every round, he could last for 18 rounds.

If we decide not to do this, I'd like to be the one to report it to the warmasters since I was the first to figure it out. ;D

Actually there may be teams that had alreay figured this out; Malduk once implied to something like this,
By now our strategy was very different; I wanted to keep many decks alive as far as possible. But this is unpragmatic approach indeed  :( . Ok, I'll make some re-discarding later and stop converting.

Well I'm not sure it would be that glorious to win that way..  ::)
Plus the strategy would become more obvious at some point when we'd b like "Allright only Perv can have legal deck this round! and since it is somehow a bit abusin rulz warmaster might not allow it..?

I don't think they could do anything at that point, because it also seems unfair to penalize us for using the rules to our advantage.

I'm going to report it to the warmasters. If everyone did it, war just becomes all of the generals playing each other, which would be incredibly lame. Sorry if anyone wanted to do it, but it would just make the war basically pointless.

Yes, they probably can't change anything anymore. Or perhaps they could give some sort of bonuses to the team which use more decks. But that would be unfair in another sense...I'm kinda confused and not sure which kind of decks I should make. Actually I don't have much time for doing them anyway, this week is gonna be very busy for me. Any help is appreciated.
