Big creatures is actually a counter to this because the damage that kills the voodoo doll doesn't do damage to you. Also healing can help counter it if this is the main source of damage (don't play any more creatures than you can out heal). Also this sort of deck would probably be less than optimal, since it has to be half gravity, it will be hard to use a lot of bassilisk blood to make it really powerful. Probably the most likely scenario is a gravity/darkness duo with this mixed in as extra damage so I would say the best defense is to power through it with one of the dragon heavy decks to minimize the damage. Maybe the best counter would be to use the darkness duo that uses dragons and liquid shadow if that is what we expect from them.
My thoughts on each matchup:
2 matchups vs.
: Having thought about it and looked at lights archives I think blessed Pegasus is a bad idea because they have shown 2 decks with reverse time(although they both lost) and we showed 3 flying weapons decks. They won with three stall decks so we are likely to see one. I think fractal spiders for one match and earthquakes in the other. Both work well against general light strategy and stalls. The only problem I can foresee is if fractal spiders ends up against their earthquake deck it will probably lose, but this is just 1 deck and it should work well against all others.
2 matchups vs.
: They know we have holy lights and they beat us when we used them. We could play bone walls again or even firefly hope again with more owl's eyes. They played several aether duos and twice played a graboid deck with novas. I would say the bone wall deck is the strongest here and firefly hope is an option but I'm not really sure if there is a better option.
vs.
: my suggestion above
I will update this with any others later
