Here are our matchups:

:air pervepic vs  :death Shantu

:air QuantumT vs.  :gravity girlsgeneration

:air chum3 vs. :time valuka

:air truddy02 vs. :light Rastafla (that will be hard)

:air Klaymore vs.  :darkness 3D House of Beef

:air Gyrodiot vs. :water unit748596

:air Dogg vs. :light Implosion (so will that)

:air Istari. vs.  :darkness Kuroaitou

:air Glowing Ice vs.  :fire catalyzeme

Two light matchups in the round with that stupid event card is just bad luck.

How do you guys feel about participating in the boycott that Mr.Blonde suggested?

Had to check the Round 2 Thread. Here it is for anyone who didn't read it:
Well, without a doubt this "type" of card is going to be controversial and will most likely have a major effect in the winner of this War. I firmly believe the majority of the Masters if not all would be against the use of this card. Anyone who knows me would know that I would be against this card regardless if it benefited team Death or not.

It's just too skewed and OP towards one team and IMO will put a blemish on the winner.

So basically as a community we can decide to continue to complain about this card or actually do something. So here's what i will do regardless if this is changed or not.

1) Simply do not play free upped cards. Up the 3 or 6 cards for Generals or Lieutenants but that's it. Ends the drama right there.
2) If team Death receives this type of card later in the event we will not be using this as an advantage. Basically we will not use this "type" of card at all.

So Team Death will be boycotting this "type" of card and throughout the tourney we will not be using this to our advantage. Sorry Team Death for not consulting first but i feel that this is the correct thing to do.

SG - Not trying to spite you here or create waves. I understand the amount of work and effort you have put into this War and i honestly appreciate it. I will not be posting or arguing about this event card again. I just don't think this is a very good "type" of event card.

Ahhhh crap... was posting this and missed the Sat tourney.
Sad that he missed the tourney ;/. Speaking of that tourney, Fire Rush > Darkness Stall, as I found out last night :( Lost to kevkev right before the top 4 (and napalm was able to win with Fire immolation).

I would like to take our miracle deck (deck 14 from our strategy page).  We would have to take some extra miracles from our propaganda bonus to do this so I don't know if it will be possible.  I can afford to upgrade the miracles and dragons.  It takes good advantage of this card and will probably do well against light.

As to the boycott, I say no just play the game as it is laid out but I will support whatever the rest of the team wants to do.

Edit: The event card has been taken out but I still wouldn't mind running this deck or possibly blessed pegasus.

For reference,
GirlsGeneration is a general and
Implosion and Kuroaitou are lieutenants

I am really not sure what to go for match against  :darkness .
According to round 1 they've got lots of  :entropy cards, played it against us and won.
I thought about something within our vault possibilities that could counter a similar deck and others:

Code: [Select]
4vf 4vf 4vf 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 5oc 5oc 5of 5of 5of 5on 5oo 5oo 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu
lots of antimaters could counter their own / outheal big criters deck.
Only target for steal is wings which is useless against this deck (only airborne)

Bad thing is: this would probably be very weak to any pest or quantum denial because of expensive creatures so I don't know..
What you guys think?

We could try the firefly queen deck again, except with a 35 or possibly more card deck in order to deck them out if they try the same tactic.

Klaymore- I think the issue with that deck is that it has no early game. I'd also swap out maybe one pillar and one shockwave for 2 OE perhaps.

For my matchup against gravity (again), I was thinking maybe something similar to pervepic's deck in round one. My biggest concern with this is the discord/BH deck that they have which would start denying quanta quickly because GG is a master. I'd like to test that matchup to see how it goes.

I think the UG gas deck could potentially be strong as well, but that would mean revealing it now instead of saving it for later.

Everyone knows we are packing an Unstable Gas deck (or rather, everyone assumes we have one because it's a very very reasonable assumption). We are Team Air, afterall (e.g., Darkness hasn't used Rage Potioned Voodoo Dolls or Adrenalined Vampires yet, but it's at least a safe guess they're packing those because those decks are effective/have potential).

And people know you have an Air Nymph too ;P (I remember reading it in a congratulatory forum post from Napalm).

Against light I think we should expect at least one stall, as air's damage output is generally fairly low so we would be weak to a stall strategy.

There are a couple counters to this:

1) Run a big deck- The problem with this strategy is that it puts you at a disadvantage against basically everything besides a stall. However it is something that we can manage decently well with FFQ/Hope/E. Bond.

2) Quanta denial- This is the response I prefer. Deck 7 fits the bill for this very nicely so I think that one of the light matchups should take it.

Thoughts?

This. I like the idea, but perhaps we can run Deck 7 with Enchant Artifact for Pendulums? I might just be post-Earthquake stressed about that after my match-up from Round 1, but one of Light's stall decks does use Earthquake.

Also, all of Team Air's decks from Round 1 have only used Pendulums. Considering this, perhaps teams will run Earthquake against us?

(Yes, Earthquake makes me very angry.  >:D)
