In the Aether Vault Tracking thread maul says:
They can build:
1)grabbow (if they REALLY want it they can salvage to get a new one this round, but I believe they got one hidden)
2)psiontal
3)psiontal
4)RoL/hope
5)fractix
6)dim/sancstall <---scary
RoL/Hope is suicide against us. That leaves psiontal, fractix, and their grabbow (which is tough to run against Sw). Fortunately for us Psiontal and Fractix are similar, and some things that beat psiontal stand a good chance against the grabbow as well. Aether has leaned hard on psiontal and their biggest fear was our sanc stall, which they just beat. We're very likely to see 1-2 psiontals this round.
Psiontal has a good winrate. They've lost with it only twice (
a catatitan bow with sundials and
a grabbow with disc and NM). My loss last round killed our last chance to beat psiontal with cc and healing (unless someone magics up a sanc stall build, which I just don't think is likely), so our only option is to bring deflags in both decks and make sure we're faster than them. We can do that by being fast (2 nymphs) or by making sure they're slow (a denial bow). I decided to make a denial bow and then saw Jen beat me to the punch.
Two of the former or one of each are both viable in my eyes.
We only have four deflags, so if we use 2 Nymphs twice we'd have to give two deflags to each. The denial bow Jen built could use 1 deflag, 1 steal, and maybe Silence as a way to stop dim chaining. Plus it's less easy to plan for, etc. It's dead if they decide to send a grabbow our way, though.
