Last Wars Decks (What worked, what didn't) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=23627.msg301303#msg301303

Here are some basic deck strategies that air used last war and their record and who the losses were to.  I tried to clump decks when they were mostly the same.

Earthquake/ BB : 2-2 losses :time :entropy
FFQ/Bond/Hope: 1-3 losses  :darkness :death :entropy
Steal/Vamp(often the vamps were upped):  3-1 losses  :time
Steal/LS Dragons: 2-3 losses  :darkness :death :time
Disc/Antimatter (sometimes BE): 5-5 losses  :time :time :gravity :darkness :entropy
Flying Titan: 2-1 losses  :death
OE/Bonewall: 4-0
Flying MS: 1-1 losses  :water
Fractal Spider/Wings: 2-1 losses  :entropy
Fractal Firefly/ Hope: 1-2  :darkness :time
Miracle: 1-1   :light
Flying Discords: 0-1 losses  :earth
Dim Shield/ Wings/ Hope deckout: 0-1 losses  :water
Dim Shield/ Quinted Dragons: 3-2 losses  :entropy :water
Immo Phoenix: 1-1 losses  :underworld
Black Hole splash: 0-1 losses  :underworld
Unstable Gas: 1-1 losses  :underworld
Suicide: 0-1 losses  :entropy
Chargers: 0-1 losses  :entropy
Discord Rainbow: 1-0

Also worth noting is that of the 29 losses, 26 of them cam from 6 different teams ( :darkness :death :entropy :time :water :underworld) while only 3 came from the other 7 combined.

Looking from this, we should have at least 2 OE/Bonewalls and maybe 2 Steal/Vamps decks.  Looking at the stats, we should probably gear up a bit more against those 6 (maybe not UW).  Some of these have obvious reasons as to why they killed us, such as discord for   :entropy and RT for  :time.  Maybe someone can look into the decks that other elements used against us last war.

Here are my thoughts on why so many of our losses came to these 6 teams:
:entropy : Discord wasn't really the problem.  Fog shield and wings are probably the 2 best shields against discord.  Early on we did pretty well against entropy.  Once entropy took real control around round 3/4 and they had a solid card advantage was when we really started taking a lot of losses there.  Several losses to pandabonium added up at the end.  Maybe Amilir can give more insight into this.
:time :  The threat of reverse time prevented us from using our best decks.  We also took several losses to their darkness duo with steals and devourers.
:water : I think we had a couple losses to their miracle stall.  It may be important to have some decks that can put out a lot of damage when necessary.
:death :  Most of the losses were to bonewall/CC decks that we weren't able to break through.  Another loss came from a direct counter to flying titans.
:darkness : We lost mostly close ones to denial/healing decks.  The one that wasn't close was to the grabbow later in the war when other teams started fearing wings less.

Lovely stuff.  Actually, pandebonium was ent's strongest deck toward the end.  That we used it against air is telling.  We didn't have terribly strong counters to most of your decks.

The decks from last war that performed fairly well are OE/bonewall, Flying Titans, and Air/Ent duos.

The steal vampire record is a bit misleading, as that deck can only really be played with upped vampires, as unupped vampires just don't hit hard enough. The vampires can be put in the vault as alternate cards for that deck if it happens to be played be the general or lieutenant.

So... If I get this right this means that:
1) We had problems against Bonewalls.
2) We had problems with Reverse Time.
3) We had problems with healing.

...it looks like we didn't really use UGs, did we? It solves all of those problems. Yeah, it can be easily countered if predicted, and even if not most decks will have heavy PC against us. But... I think UGs and/or good deckers would win all those matches, wouldn't they?
