Quick and dirty summary:

Noobie will need to beware of Crusaders. It cost us last game. I would try bonewall OE, packing 2 upped Arsenics to counter stalls (particularly Titanium Shield stalls).

Entropy is as tricky as always, at the very least something that beats monoentropy.

Against Darkness we just need to hope for a good matchup... I'd go with a stall this time.

Against Fire I would use the RT splash, with 5 upped dragons, or if you want to go on their stall, splashed EQs. 5 upped dragons pack quite a punch there.

Against Death I would use the light stall with wings - it counters Discord BH and most of their decks don't go heavy on poison, except for Arsenic - hence wings. Their immorush would destroy this, but it has a chance at pretty much everything else.

I would play TU OEs against life, it may be the best choice.

Water is heavy on CC, we just need to bring quints and dim shields.

As for earth, what about playing adrenastaves?

This could be a good round for us.  No time and no gravity matchups.  Those two despite their low vault count have given us some of the biggest problems.  Also no match against aether which has also given us plenty of problems.  Darkness has also been fairly tough for us so that is probably our toughest matchup.  With the 2 extra upgrades and not having to face the teams that beat have beaten us the most we have been fairly lucky with this rounds draws.  We need to take advantage of it.  I will post in more detail when I get a chance.  This is a good opportunity for a comeback round.

I'm gonna change the ADU using the last suggestion in the Salvage/Discarding thread for Round 4 (mine... If you'd like to have truddy's suggestion updated let me know and I'll change it). Changing the Vault is a bit hazardous now, we'd better use the ADU.

EDIT: Done. Round 4 sheet is fully functional. Just build the decks in the right part of it, on the columns marked as the players, and it will show if all is correct.

EDIT II: My death matchup

I will most likely bring Flying MS, but I would like the vets to say what they expect from this matchup. That is because I have to choose between:
A) a deck that beats most death decks, including Discord BH and Pandebonium, but dies to fractal viruses, stoned poison, immorush and is 40-60 vs grabbow (due to opponent's deflags) - Flying MS
B) a deck that beats Discord BH, can beat immorush and destroys grabbows, but loses to anything with bonewall and lots of poison (the card) in it. - Bonewall OE + Wings (it's good)

Basically, are we going to face something death-ish, or not? I think yes, so I'm in favor of Flying MS, but I'd like advice.

Death is tough to read at this point.  There are several decks I can see them using.  They have reverse time and sundials that they can put in a deck with some poisons and bonewalls to counter a flying weapons deck from us.  They played a deck like that against us last war a few rounds in.  Fractal virus is tough against us but also works well against some other elements.  There are probably at least 3-4 matchups I could see them using that deck.  If I really had to go out there and make a prediction I would say in mind the most likely to see are in order pandabonium, fractal virus, and immo phoenix with BH/discord and RT decks also reasonable possibilities.  That doesn't narrow it down much but they are quite hard to predict.  Last round I estimated 3 decks they might take and they took something different.

I like the idea of TU OE's vs. life.  I haven't had time to build or test but it sounds like a great idea.

I was thinking of an aether duo stall against light but a big poison deck with the ability to up the arsenics could also be strong.  Maybe aether stall would be strong vs. earth (up some pillars, use the aether pillar, and make it a little heavier on air with some pillars to be ready for earthquakes).  Entropy might be a good team to take a grabbow against (we can use heal and lightning in there now too if we want to).  Agree on RT vs fire.  Other suggestions to come.

K for the heck of it I tested UGs vs. Mono Entropy Rush and it seems to be a fairly even match. It's worth noting that I usually won on virtue of my OEs sniping everything he played as opposed to my UGs.

UGs should be able to beat monoentropy stall handily.

If I end up not taking a deck that uses fire, I think I'll still pack a couple explosions, because discord scrambling quanta should be able to get me 1 :fire without too much trouble.

Actually... why am I packing Morning Stars in there? It works just as fine - nay - BETTER if I just pack OEs.

The only CC heavy decks they can run against us are Pandebonium (which this would still outstall as long as I don't fly anything) and RT splash (which is not as likely as immorush IMO). Also, packing Flying OEs can be a lifesaver vs Immorush. I think I will play this:

The only problem is I'm a little quanta heavy. Any suggestions?

I would not be apposed to taking PU dragons again.  It worked pretty well, I just got screwed by RNG.  If I were to take it, I would add more CC, cause the OEs got destroyed and I had nothing.

Maybe use almost the same deck but put a couple quints in there since it can remove freezing.  You would probably want to make sure it still holds up fairly well against poison because I have a feeling that might be coming.  You would have to be a little careful with the quints though because once you quint something you cannot skyblitz it so it would be best to quint a PU of an already dove dragon or if necessary use it on an already frozen dragon.  Also congrats on the tourney win.

What about something like this as a possibility against darkness?
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink

It doesn't get wrecked by LS and holds up great against denial like the EQ/devourer deck.  It probably has problems against RT/nightmare which we might see.  In testing I could beat the AI playing nightmare an ok amount but there were several AI mistakes so it probably loses there but isn't totally dead.

My match up has I'm not totally sure on.  I liked the idea of TU OE's but if jippy wants to take the TU's I have no problems because I think I have more options.  I could take a poison deck like poison/ wings (if we end up keeping the spiders) or bonewall OE with a couple arsenics.  I could take a fire splash with deflags/ OE's and blitzing dragons.  They play a lot of shields and hide behind them while they heal so deflags are nice.  I'll see what other decks turn out with. I think if its available I would like some sort of death duo.  If not, deflag splash could work unless someone has a better deck idea.

Also with our dwindling vault we should start putting decks in the ADU as soon as possible so we can see exactly what is available.
